The dudes here know what's up. They got 4 grinders dedicated to espresso so there is a profile for everyone. I'm not a matcha fan but the matcha tonic I got, slapped. The signature drink menu is extensive, it's a fun adventure every time you go in if you try something new. Don't sleep on One Cedar or you'll be mad you didn't find them sooner. Locally owned spot in Santa Monica. I'm glad that this cafe opened up in Ocean Park as it was a nice neighborhood walk. Came here with my boyfriend on a Saturday morning and had a matcha latte and latte. Both were well made and the owner/barista was super nice and personable. There are a couple of tables indoors and outdoors to sit and sip. There is metered parking out front. We really enjoyed our time here and will be back! read more

Some of the best coffee we have ever had. We tried the Big Dog cold brew & where's nicely latte. So well balanced and the espresso was so smooth. This place is legit. The owner is also the barista. He was running the place himself. A very simple and minimalistic spot with a couple tables inside and a couple tables outside. There were several obvious regulars chatting with him when I came in. Seems to be a well-loved spot. He was surprising a regular with a drink but still immediately addressed me. I got an iced vanilla latte. Basic but easiest to judge this drink between cafes. The espresso was extremely smooth. The drink was subtly sweet and the perfect amount of ice. I came on Sunday around 1:30pm. Apparently, they were so busy earlier in the day that they were sold out of a bunch of drinks when I got there. I got the iced americano, which I liked. Definitely different than other coffee shops in LA, and they have different plants growing, which I thought was cool. Also, it's very reasonably priced; my iced americano was $4. read more

Before even reading their menu I smelled orange vanilla tones and I was immediately excited because I am a sucker for a good orange vanilla flavored latte and lo and behold they had a latte called where's nicely? For some reason my negative review of this space got magically erased. I'm back to correct this. I had seen a tiktok suggesting this place. So I went. I entered and all seemed friendly. In my excitement to endorse and try a new small business I mentioned tiktok sent me. I mentioned tiktok sent me andi was met immediately with scoffs, shaming, and disrespect. When I say immediate mean immediate. The owner was a blatant ass about me even being there as a product of tiktok. Owner clearly hates tiktok. Additionally, my previous review was responded to my the owner who shamed me again about my behavior, tried assert I was having a meltdown and also tried to shame my age. Avoid this place. Also, I'll be saving this in the case it's deleted again. I will not be silenced. Owner was rude and needs to be held accountable for it. Alright Santa Monica, new spot alert. One Cedar opened up in recent weeks and they are already dialed in! The coffee taste is great and they have potential. I was able to try it out and their cortado is on point. Very well balanced. They have other options that you won't see around. The parking is great with both main street and side parking. You will not have issues. They should have more seats and tables inside to accommodate work sessions away from the overpacked main santa monica spots. Overall 5/5 read more

This place is simply the best. If I need a quick drink on the run or feel like settling in for a while, I can definitely do both here. Noah takes great care of the guests, even the picky ones, always offering to help them find the right thing and that is greatly appreciated. We LOVE ONE CEDAR! We tried the coffee together one day and have become regulars since that first sip. The drip coffee is always delicious and Noah has three sizes and prices it really well. We used to go to blue bottle about once a week and we haven't been since one Cedar opened because we prefer the drinks and the vibe here. We love to shop small and support local businesses and Noah has done such a great job. I love the espresso tonics as well! The only issue is it's really hard to drink coffee from other places after you've gotten used to this quality, price and taste. We just went to the One Cedar soft opening tonight. If the owners attention to detail and quality is anything like the soft opening this is going to be a fabulous and welcome addition to the local coffee cafe scene . We will definitely be trying out the coffee. I want to also give a shout out to the food caterer, Antojitos R&M, Victoria Adame, delicious chicken or beef tacos, and the artisanal beverage caterer, ACS Beverage Co, Hernan Fernando, their artisanal tequila, Yeyo, is one of the best tequila's I've ever tasted. kavahana: won a giveaway a long time ago and finally got to try it. they actually recently opened a…read morelocation in hollywood but we were by santa monica this day so went to the og location. first time trying kava nectar and it was such a unique experience. we got the mango lassi w 2 shots of the kava nector and mango matcha w 2 shots as well. the kava nectar doesnt rlly effect the taste of the drink but u can def feel it. my tongue got alittle tingling after a few sips and i felt the relaxing affect a few mins in. felt like being tipsy without any of the bad alcoholic effects. but my friend didnt rlly feel it so everyones tolerance is different‍ also fun fact: kava nectar has a reverse tolerance effect so the next time you drink it the less you need to frel the same effect. overall p cool experience! highly recommend trying kava nectar atleast once!

Turns out it's a relaxing non-alcoholic drink with a very unusual effect -- I felt a slight numbness on my tongue The bar itself was clean, atmospheric, and super cozy, the drink was actually really tasty, and the service was absolutely amazing. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. If you want to try something different and unique, this place is definitely worth visiting!

I believe having a store uniform is important because it makes employees stand up to their positions and titles which should be friendly and welcoming. The ambiance we made great cuz the music was dope and my family vibed out! The drinks are absolutely delicious and I want to give a great big gracias thank you to the people who made this happen! We assumed that that two smoothies and a toast would not take too long since no one else was there and we ordered before a small rush came in. It seemed that everyone else's smoothie orders were prioritized before our toast which was a surprise. The worker kept reassuring us that it would be ready in just a min, multiple times. Of course, we didn't doubt him and waited. We ended up waiting approx 25mins for a smoked salmon toast that looked hastily put together and looked like an afterthought. It was a disappointing experience for our time visiting the area. Although the smoothies and the food were great, the experience left me not wanting to visit again. I hope this experience doesn't happen to anyone else and I hope this business continues to grow! :)

ORDER 01. brown butter latte ("BBL"): house-made caramelized butter syrup (containing REAL butter), espresso, & milk 02. gold coast: eggs, beef & potato hash, avocado, pepper jack cheese, scallions, & cilantro crema in a whole wheat wrap i was worried the burrito might be too dry on account of the whole wheat or too greasy because of the hash, but it was neither dry nor greasy! all the ingredients came together beautifully. the burrito felt healthy and satiating, enough to feed two adults! note that this item is only available at the santa monica branch! the "gold coast" is the cafe's take on the california burrito, whereas "the six" is the cafe's take on the standard american breakfast. pick the former if you want something more savory. pick the latter if you want something more sweet. in any case, the hot sauce served on the side is a must! SPACE the open floor plan allows for plenty of seating indoors and outdoors, so the atmosphere feels relaxed. there is one unisex restroom available. WI-FI stable!

The flavors sound exciting, but the cosmic cream top lacked both a prominent coffee and ube flavor despite the color, the matcha was quite milky, and the new moon latte did not taste of sesame. It was visibly busy when I visited, but the drinks came out reasonably quick. The cafe itself is quite hidden from the street, tucked away behind what looks like a business complex. The environment is cute, with both indoor and outdoor seating, and there is only street parking.
