I went here on a black Friday morning.. there was none as probably that's just after they opened I went here. The barista seemed ok. Acted like I don't understand the language kept showing me the signs of the bill on the screen as if I didn't understand what $4 mean. I was very disappointed in the service though the coffee seemed to be good.i won't go back here anytime I visit santa Monica. The money is going elsewhere for sure. Overall it was a cute little place where you could sit and do the people watching as they got open patio style sitting area (covered tho)

    The sprinkles cookie was delicious.

For $16 for two coffees and a cookie, plus the great reviews which had compelled me to specifically set out to visit Coffee Commissary on Santa Monica Blvd., I was very disappointed. WHY you might ask? 1. My Gingerbread Coffee had too much nutmeg. It made me gag and the coffee tasted awful mixed with almond mylk. 2. I exchanged my coffee for a Vanilla Latte after taking my first sip of the Gingerbread Latte. The 2nd coffee was just as bad as the 1st. All the syrup in the world can't mask the flavor of the beans. 3. The temperature of the 2nd coffee was luke-warm. 4. It would have been great if the barista would have asked what type of milk I wanted the second time around. 5. The 1st, and 2nd coffee ended up in the trash. And, just like that we won't be going back again.

Much needed after Santa Monica Stairs pick me up!

Have been wanting to stop by for sometime now. And finally did yesterday after my two hour run at the Santa Monica Stairs for a much needed pick me up. Enjoyed a cubano and the sun and a Golden Milk to go for my girlfriend. Both drinks were really good. Friendly customer service. Definitely will be back to try more drinks. As well as recommended them if you're in the area and need a cup of Joe.

Ironically I was walking to Starbucks and I accidentally stumbled upon coffee commissary. I am familiar with the area pretty well. However, I've never seen it before. I have also be to other coffee commissary and the decor was not the same. They have hot pink chairs with wooden tables and neon lighting. It super stands out and super cute cafe. I asked Saudi (my barista) if this location was new. She informed me it had been here for about a year but it's somewhat hard to miss and thats why people don't see it. I had to do some work on my laptop and asked if they had wifi and they do, perfect! I'm not much of a coffee drinker and not too familiar with what to order. I asked her for some suggestions and she was extremely helpful and patient with me, thank you! She also recommended one of there pastries I couldn't resist and don't regret it. My order only took a few short minutes and the coffee looked so cute (heart shaped) and tasted amazing! I ordered the Cubano and highly recommend. I had to snap a shot but there was no one there that early. I asked Saudi if she would please take a picture, and she did!!!! I seriously had an amazing experience, my coffee was perfect and so was my treat, and the ambiance was really an enjoyable experience. I saw a lot of happy and satisfied customers because of Saudi, thank you again!

    Cheeseeeee :) cute location!

Pink chairs, cute coffee shop. Count me in! I love going to different coffee shops and found this one while in town having lunch with my s/o nearby. It's an extremely small shop right next to a car dealership so meant to be more of a kiosk type feel with the addition of the cute tables and decor. I love the pink tables and chairs and it's such a nice pop! The coffee was good and we were able to sit and enjoy for a while and of course take some photos!

Right at the entrance of the Mini dealership !

Great latte ! A bit of work on the pastry display case and it will be all set. It's a busy intersection but the outdoor seating area is great ! Pastry look artisanal. The flourless chocolate cake is light and moist. Quite tasty.

Nice coffee, pleasant outdoor seating. I got the Gibraltar, which is a small version of a cappuccino and the coffee was strong and rich with flavor. They have limited pastry options, and monthly specials for their drinks too

I've driven by this cute corner coffee shop an uncountable number of times and finally got to try it on my lunch break. I wanted to order something different than my usual, boring coffee order and opted for an iced cubano with oat milk. WHOA. The coffee flavor is amazing and the cinnamon syrup adds just enough oomph - what a treat. Thank goodness for caffeine pick me ups half way through a full day of clinic. Got a feeling I'll be back very soon.

For what it is, this place works. In the ever so walk-able city of Santa Monica, we found ourselves "Birding" around and wanted to get some coffee. Because it was already noon, I ordered a decaf latte. It worked. Rich taste and a creamy finish from the foam. Very limited seating outside. It's anchored to a Mini dealer.

We also got the Pineapple Zingy Fizzy drink which was very refreshing on the warm day. The staff was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. The only thing I want to add is that on the menu board had a key for items, one being a * indicates the item contain nuts. Some of the bowls listed cashew chipotle sauce, but there was no * next to the item name. It's a quick fix to avoid any accidents :)

Both dishes were very good, but the burger was definitely the winner for us. We also tried the Garage beer, which was super light and delightful, along with a latte. The latte was okay. We're big coffee people, so it didn't quite meet our expectations. It was served too hot, and the milk seemed overheated. The coffee itself tasted good, but it didn't feel carefully crafted. I enjoy latte art and that first sip from a freshly made uncapped latte, and that part was missing for me. That said, the food was so good that we're more than willing to overlook the coffee. Great vibes, superb service, and an overall fantastic experience. Highly, highly recommend this place. We'll definitely be back with friends and family.

We were delighted with the box of cookies and tarts that they brought from Paderia in Santa Monica. The chocolate chip walnut cookies were fat and soft with a slightly crisp exterior. The thickness of them allowed a plethora of rich chips to reside inside. I'm not a fan of chunks of nuts in cookies but these were chopped in tiny pieces, so did not take away from the overall soft texture. The soft peanut butter chocolate cookie was also a huge fattie with peanut butter chips within the chocolate cookie. Both were enhanced with a quick warm-up. I loved both of these cookies and think the chocolate chip is the very best you'll ever find. We also had Portuguese egg tarts. The pastel de nata (if I recall, this is what they are called) I ate was small but good, but I have had others that were more to my liking, with a sweeter custard and a more caramelized top, which I guess is a personal preference.
