Great orange cold brew. Was one of the best cold brews I ever had. So interesting to mix it with real orange. AMAZING! BUT - the avocado toast was HORRIBLE. I feel like I paid 14.5 dollars for something that is somehow worse than what I could make myself. The barista was GREAT - super nice and sweet. I love that this place lets you bring dogs inside. Especially since Kawa around the block doesn't. But the 2x I have been there I walked out with cold coffee. When I ordered hot coffee. In searching for a new coffee shop to get some studying done, I came across Caffeine on Yelp and thought I'd give them a try. I'm giving it 3 stars because I was just underwhelmed with my experience here. The interior of the shop is pretty small, and the seating arrangements were a bit cramped, unless you do the higher/bar stool type of seating which I find uncomfortable. I also remember feeling like ot was awkwardly silent in there - the kind of silence where it feels to awkward to even talk! Granted, I was there on a weekend morning and there were only a couple other patrons - maybe at a different time of day, it wouldn't be that way. The service wasn't bad, the young man who helped me was friendly enough, and I ordered an iced mocha and a chocolate croissant. Both were nothing special, unfortunately. And that kind of characterizes my entire experience - not necessarily bad, but just not that great or memorable that I would feel compelled to come back. read more

Before work today I decided to stop in at Caffeine and give it a try. Walking in, i notice that it is not a huge space but they have enough chairs and places to sit that it can accomidate about 30 people or so. Not a bad size, especially just stopping in for coffee and maybe a small bite. I tried something new today and ordered the Spicy Mochaccino from the menu. The cashier told me it had chocolate and some cayenne powder sprinkled in. The drink tasted great and there was a spoon provided which, while you are drinking, its good to stir at the bottom to make sure you get that chocolate and spice to mix in so it doesnt just sink. I also got the buttered croissant which was flakey and tasted great. Overall a cute and quaint little coffee shop that I will definitely be back to bring some friends. read more

Great coffee shop in downtown Tampa! Caffeine Roasters not only serves up some high quality drinks, but their food is excellent as well. I have gotten both a coffee and tea latte here. What I love about their chai tea latte is that they can make it with loose leaf tea rather than a chai concentrate, but they do have a the concentrate if you prefer that. The loose leaf chai is nice a spicey, and the barista added just a hint of sweetness to give flavor to the latte. They also had a good variety of milk alternatives listed on the menu if you would like to make your latte dairy free. I have munched on their avocado toast for breakfast, which I highly recommend. The toast has a base of creamy aioli with layers of sliced avocado and spinach on top. I got my avocado toast topped with smoked salmon as well and they have a egg and salmon topping combo for those who want to ultimate option. This is my favorite place to go get coffee!! The staff is incredibly kind and always remember our favorite drinks. We even got a rewards card and get a free coffee (any coffee!!!!) after 5 coffees. Exploring during the morning walk came across this little gem, as soon as I opened the door I was greeted. The barista was very courteous and introduced the store with its different beans and brews. I've been eagerly eyeing the caffeine sign and finally made my way out from North Tampa. I was expecting just another coffee shop but was pleasantly surprised to find somewhere that beats out almost anywhere in the city. The atmosphere is fantastic; Caffeine captures the small coffee bar feel perfectly and is welcoming as soon as you step in the door. I first ordered an americano which was great (but not better than BBC), but the real stars of the show are the orange cold brew and the sparkling coffee, which I've never seen anywhere else. At first my sister and I ordered one to share but after I took one sip I knew I needed to order another! Caffeine has a great location, an inviting and relaxing environment, and one of a kind beverages. An easy 5 stars. read more
