The staff at the hostess stand were a little cranky when we asked if we could sit next to the glass overlooking the water. It was early and there were plenty of open tables, so I'm not sure what the issue was. It felt like they weren't particularly interested in being accommodating. They did let us move, and I'm so glad they did because the view was beautiful! Sitting by the water really enhanced the experience. We had a great waiter, and the food was delicious. They were out of the grilled artichoke, which was disappointing, but we ordered the poke instead--and we were so glad we did because it was amazing! We also ordered the truffle fries, which were such a treat. The grilled fish tacos were my favorite. There were two tacos, and they were much larger than expected, with big chunks of fish and excellent flavor. I always order clam chowder when I'm on the coast, and unfortunately, I'm usually disappointed. I decided to order just a cup this time, and I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't the best chowder I've ever had, but it was solid. It had a good ratio of clams, was nice and thick, and had good flavor. I have mixed feelings about the drinks. The Aperol Spritz was really delicious, but the Old Fashioned was extremely strong. Some people may like it that way, but it was too strong for me--and I usually love an Old Fashioned. The drinks also took forever to arrive. I don't think that was our waiter's fault because he was hustling, checking on us regularly, and we didn't have any delays with our food or anything else. They came with a very mild blue cheese dressing. I would recommend that you ask for a side of marinara sauce for dipping...chefs kiss. Last of the starters was the Cheesy Garlic Bread. The crunch on the sourdough was spot on. This was the first time in a long time that I was able to see and taste all the herbs on a piece of bread...outside of what my hubby makes at home. This place has it down when it comes to flavor with the right amount of gooey cheese. Finally for the meal I had the Southwestern Chicken Salad. What a great place. We have driven by this place quite a few times (usually on the weekend) Always busy which is a good sign. We decided to stop here today since we were back in the area. It was Thursday afternoon so not slammed but still busy at 2pm. Nice place with a nice view of the harbor area. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We had a beer and ordered their Nachos. Very nice plate of Nachos well prepared (layered nicely with Black Beans at the bottom that you can get at and add to your chips as needed. All the other food that we saw looked amazing and I overheard people having great comments about their dish. Our server was Caitlin and she was fantastic. Felt overwhelmed and a little melancholy so I called my mom and we drove all the way to HMB from Lodi and Stockton to eat here and do some shopping on Main Street yesterday. We shared the Portuguese seafood stew and beer steamed clams and we each ordered a cup of clam chowder. Both were delicious but this was the first time ordering the seafood stew and, wow! Our server told us it was similar to cioppino but instead of a tomato heavy broth it's white wine based with some tomatoes in it. The fish is as fresh as the harbor sitting outside of the dining room windows. The flavor in all of the food here is what keeps us coming back and the great service is the icing on the cake. The tuna melt was an odd combination of bad and weird flavors which included ginger in the mix. The coleslaw wasn't any better. It was tasteless and I didn't finish it either. My BF ordered ahi poke that came with tortilla chips. The poke was good, the tortilla chips wasn't salted at all, just oily. For dessert, apple crumble with vanilla ice cream. The topping was so chewy. It was not pleasing to eat. We left that partially eaten too. We've been here before and it was a good experience with the food. Patio dining is excellent on a beautiful day, but they have adequate indoor seating and a nice bar, which is a great space to catch a game. We got oysters for the table, which were nice and fresh. We stopped by for an early dinner on a recent Saturday and it was busy already! All the inside tables were filled and we'd have about a 20 minute wait. Thankfully there were patio seats available so we were able to be seated right away. It's got a beautiful setting, right on the water and a really laid back vibe. I got the Brew Burger and also got to sample the fish and chips and chicken strips (from the kid's menu). My burger was decent. Meaty for sure but overall nothing stood out about it. I probably should have ordered the fish and chips. Crispy outside, still moist inside, it was pretty tasty. The chicken strips from the kid's menu were tasty, I liked the seasoning! The setting is exquisite and the sunny patio is a perfect way to enjoy a summer day on the coast. It's situated right across from the harbor and the ambience is like something out of a Hemingway novel. Umbrellas provide shade if things get too hot and heat lamps will fight back the chill on colder days. The star here is the menu. I've tried so many things and I still want to try more. It's mostly seafood with seasonal catch of the day. You can also get a burger, which they do very well. Fried Artichoke Hearts. I ALWAYS get this one. Comes with a dipping aioli. Raw oysters. These are my favorite oysters in the bay area. And that's saying something. Ahi Poke. They keep it simple with just salt, sesame, chili oil, and house made tortilla chips. Monster burger. 1/2 pound of angus with gouda. Crom hears your prayers. Fish Tacos. Off the hook good with sauce and garnishes that make the fish the star. Beer steamed mussels. You can add fettucine for $3. It's heaven. Local craft beers from brew master James Costa. There's much more on the menu, but I haven't tried everything yet. Caveat. Go on a weekday. This place is PACKED on the weekend. The staff here is friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained. Parking is tough on weekends, but easy on weekdays. read more

My friend got the watermelon cooler and blueberry gin sour. I was told they are pretty good. The prices are pretty fair considering the location. Also considering this is a brewing with specialty on beers, these are pretty good cocktails. Service is fast and efficient.
