Decided to check this place out on a Saturday after seeing they had a beer garden in the back and the smell of the bbq. They only do Hawaiian BBQ Friday to Sunday btw. It was a nice sunny day so the beer garden was super chill. You can even watch the chefs cooking the BBQ which was cool. We Got "The Chosen One" plate and it was sooo good. The tri tip and chicken were fireee. We also got the Garlic Shrimp Plate. The shrimp was kinda bland though, it needed more seasoning, but the garlic butter flavor was still nice. If they tweak it a little, it would be just as good as everything else. Also just a heads up they make everything to order so it takes sometime for the food to come out. But overall, staff was super nice even though they were busy, and the vibe was perfect with music playing. read more

Came here for a quick snack after a bike ride. Chosen this place to feel the Aloha vibe. Looking over the menu I noticed they sell Casper Hot Dogs. So I ordered a cheese dog. What came back was a toasted hot dog, bun and skimpy portion of melted cheese. I had to ask more cheese and tell him not to melt it. A few things here: 1. I wish the employee would have asked if I wanted it toasted when he took the order 2. Portion of cheese was skimpy as hell. 3. The extra cheese I requested was still skimpy! 4, The cheese came from a package bag of cheese. If I may, If you really want your hot dogs to sell, shred your own cheese! Then go double heavy with cheese on the cheese dog. Maybe refrain from toasting it or ask your customers if they wanted a melted cheese dog. This is a tough review to write but I feel like I should share, even though we probably didn't have the "full" experience. My husband and I had walked around downtown Half Moon Bay and saw the sign for a little beer garden, and decided to walk over. The owner was outside grilling (Superbowl Sunday) and having a good ol' time chatting with another customer. We sat down and he immediately turned the heater on for us and asked what we'd like to order. We had 3 beers between the two of us, and it was $40. Way more than we expected, but honestly we had such a fun time and he gave us a treat of some of the chicken he was grilling. Super friendly guy and staff, fun little random beer garden, definitely not what I would usually look for since they were limited on drink options, too, but we really enjoyed talking with him. As a side note - I saw a few comments about not having restrooms available for customers... Came in here on a Sunday afternoon. There was a consistent flow of customers coming in, but by no means should it have taken almost 30 minutes to receive 2 small bowls of shaved ice. What made it worse, is that half the flavors we wanted were out! After waiting way longer than we should have, because the staff showed no sense of urgency and moved at a snails pace. My mom is from Hilo so I have some pretty strong opinions on what Hawaiian food is supposed to taste like. The food here tastes just like I want it to. (Price $32~) This was enough for 2 people to split and more. Everything was grilled to perfection. All proteins were well-seasoned and not over cooked or tough. Add some Siracha for that perfect bite. We took our order to-go and enjoyed it at the beach. We came right at 11am when they opened on a Friday but they weren't quite ready yet. I went to this small shop hoping to get some milk tea. My family got a taro milk tea and a Thai milk tea. There were small white particles floating in the drink. The milk teas tasted like water down milk. The boba wasn't even sweet and soft. The service was okay, but the barista making the milk teas kept looking at me and my family in a particular way.
