The Branch House is located at the base of the Sundial Bridge next to the Turtle Bay Museum. Perfect outdoor cafe for light bites and wine while taking in the sights. It's along the Sacramento River Trail so there's plenty of bike parking and trails. We had wine and a charcuterie tray. Service can be a little slow so come to relax and refuel before heading over the bridge, checking out the museum or watching fly fishing. read more

The "food" - did not look fresh. When we asked if the items in the display case were just for display? No, what you see is what you get. Very disappointing. I just wanted to share some feedback from our recent visit. We were disappointed that the buffalo wings were served with old-looking carrots and celery (I attached a photo). The service took quite a while, which we understood since it can get busy, but we were hoping the food would at least make up for it. The salmon tacos didn't have much flavor and seemed to be missing lime. The smash burger was good, and the mac and cheese was decent, but overall we left not fully satisfied. Meh. That's all I can really say about this place. Came here based on the reviews, however left feeling disappointed. We were sat on the patio and then ignored for about 15 min. It was not busy. There were two other tables outside. Inside was not full either. Once we ordered it took about 30 min for an omelet. Salad and Benedict. The people that arrived 20 min after us were served before us. Once our food arrived --- my chicken Caesar salad had a rubbery piece of chicken that was beyond small. The homemade focaccia croutons were chunks of bread dipped in oil and some seasoning - not crunchy. And again meh. Maybe I just got the bottom of the bag today. The other two were ok. Better than what I had. But it was obvious they had microwaved the potatoes - because they weren't crispy. The Benedict had little sauce and for the omelet apparantly there was a cheese shortage today as well. They came out 1 min after our food was served - before we even had a bite to ask how things were and did we need anything. And then never saw them again until we asked for the bill. You would think If most of the food is left on a plate when dishes are cleared you might ask about the meal. The one thing I'll say was good. They asked at the end if I wanted a to go iced tea. This was a great experience for me! I love the location being right off the river and conveniently located next to the Sundial Bridge. My wife and I stopped in here on a weekday and luckily it wasn't busy. When we walked into the lobby, we were greeted with live music. A man and women were setup playing guitar and singing. It definitely set the mood, I liked their vibe. I ordered the Branch House Smash Burger and was bummed that it did not come with any side, just the burger. I was very pleased with the burger though. I will be back to try more and get the Branch House Smash Burger again! read more

After checking out the Sundial Bridge, friends and I went to grab coffee at Branch House (very short walking distance from the bridge). This place serves Theory coffee, which is a local roastery. I ended up ordering the Iced Americano, which was reasonably priced (~$3.50) and had great, strong flavor. The coffee was a great start to my day. Overall: A great place to grab a coffee and relax before/after a stroll around the Sundial Bridge. read more

Ingredients were fresh and tasted farm-to-table Tacos pibil- pretty good as well. The meat was a bit dry, but balanced well with the pickled onions Short Rib wrap- similar to the taco. Lots of flavor but the short rib was a bit dry. Having some extra aioli on the side really helped Service- 3 stars The servers were all very nice and accommodating. It just took a long time for food (the line moved pretty slowly) and about 25 minutes for our food to arrive. Although there's plenty of attractions to make the wait more bearable Ambiance- 5 stars Plenty of entertainment in this fast casual restaurant. They have cornhole, shuffleboard, a gift shop, checkers (haven't even mentioned the people watching and Sundial Bridge). Bottom Line Fast casual (almost cafe) style restaurant right next to the Sundial Bridge. Don't fall for the false representation of the photos on yelp. Our tacos and Caesar salad were sloppily thrown together, lacking sauces, and not very good. It also took 30 minutes to come out, where the employee threw them on the table with a clunk. There also were no nice salads or tacos/tostadas on the menu as in the yelp photos. It's really cute inside. Love the wall filled with local items for sale. I went in around 10 am and at that time only coffee and whatever is on display is for sale. I opted for a vanilla latte with oat milk. I paid a little over $9 for a very small cup of coffee. No hints of flavor & there was chocolate sauce all over my cup which then ended up on my hands lol. No, I did not ask for chocolate sauce. My toddler and I shared a flat bread, I had an iced matcha, he had iced chocolate milk after our yummy lunch we jumped on the choo-choo train for a ride across the sundial bridge!! If you are driving down I-5 looking for a better lunch option, this is worth the short drive off the highway. Our lunch for two: a blackened salmon caesar salad and a chicken salad sandwich and then an ice cream bar for dessert. All of the food was great. It was a very hot day about 111F but the AC was working well in the restaurant. Plus we got to charge while we waited.
