    Complimentary Madeline cookies
    Olivia P.

One of the best meals I've had this year! The food was INCREDIBLE and the service and ambiance were 10/10. The meal started with complimentary Parker house rolls and arancini balls with gruyere and garlic aioli. Both were amazing! For the prix fixe menu, I got the Roasted Delicata Squash Salad to start and the Frenchie Burger for my main, and Molten Lava Cake for dessert. Everything was fantastic and pretty big portions. We also got a main course sized Truffle Gnocchi to share for the table - which was delicious but definitely a small portion (~14 actual gnocchi's). We also got the signature Blantyre Hot Chocolates which come with marshmallows, shortbread cookies, and rugelach. There was also complimentary freshly baked Madeline cookies. We were absolutely stuffed, so thank goodness they had to-go cups for the hot chocolates! Cafe Boulud really exceeded our already high expectations. 100000/10 would recommend! Can't wait to come back to try brunch.

I had very high expectations trying my first coffee beverage in Massachusetts. As Massachusetts also has a huge coffee culture :) My husband and I are visiting family just 45 minutes from Lee. Lenox happens to be the nearest cafe while we were in the area. It's a very small cafe, with pretty tight seating but the ambiance was settling and the baristas were very friendly! I ordered a Mocha and my husband had a cappuccino. Lenox's coffee is very tasteful, with a bold flavor and smooth texture. My mocha tasted like dark mocha. I am not a huge coffee milk person. I did have it with milk and still the coffee did not disappoint. Thanks Lenox for the amazing experience. You have wonderfully crafted staff here! I'd love to come back again.

However, in my experience, the service was rude--like incredibly rude. And the drink (though the coffee itself was good) was poorly crafted, with milk overly aerated and scalded. Given the level of condescending impatience I received from the counter staff, I'd expect an exacting attention to detail. So if you're cool paying six bucks for a cappuccino that comes in small, medium, and large, this place might be for you. But if, on the other hand, you know that a cappuccino should be around six to eight ounces, and you'd prefer an establishment that treated you with a little gratitude, just drive the eleven minutes to the absolutely world-class No Six Depot Roastery Café--that's what we did.

To order in person walk to the right and then turn left (a u-turn if you will) to get in line. Menus are posted on the walls to easily see as you wait in line. A variety of baked goods are available in a display case by the cashier. We ordered a raspberry lavender latte, a beverage from the cooler and two crepes. When we were walking away with our table number in hand I heard the cashier tell the barista I ordered a maple latte. I corrected her, I ordered the lavender. I received a Mocha. How did a raspberry lavender become chocolate? No idea how that went so wrong. A metal stand is on each table. Insert your table number and place it where staff can see. The indoor dining area has high ceilings, a big window wall at one end and is quite loud with sound bouncing off all the hard surfaces. Tables are set up from couples to a group configurations. In the back corner are two love seats and a coffee table. My egg and cheese crepe was extremely filling. Lots and lots of cheese in there. It kept me full all day in a 'I need a nap' kind of way. The cheese was the primary flavor in this dish. My dining companion had a stomach issue after eating a spicy reuben. It wasn't actually spicy at all so not sure what caused the stomach upset. The concept is fun. Put a sandwich into a crepe. The crepe doesn't add flavor to the dish and it's a knife and fork meal vs. a handheld. Add in both of our less than optimal reactions to the dish and wrong coffee delivery and we personally won't add this to our 'try again' list. They do have plenty of other items to try, and I do appreciate local businesses so I'm not saying it won't work for you. This was just my experience. Free on street parking. Restrooms down the hall near the back door where you'll also find a water fountain.

I love their breakfast which was what we had on our most recent trip. My kids had the chocolate chip pancakes and demolished them quickly. They both said they were the best pancakes ever. I had the croissant French toast which was decadent but not too filling, a lovely breakfast. My husband had their special, pancakes with fresh peaches and mascarpone and he definitely had the best dish, tons of fresh peaches. The first latte I had was so good that I also got another to go. We also grabbed some baked goods for the road which was an awesome decision. Staff was super friendly and the restaurant is so lovely. Will be back for sure.

We had the special which was a sweet potato chorizo hash with poached eggs and hollandaise - honestly the chorizo lacked flavor and was not spicy enough to counteract the sweetness of the potatoes. We also had the huevos rancheros which were sublime. Nicely spiced black bean/chili sat atop a corn tortilla, eggs, avocado sour cream ..etc. Also had the famous morning glory muffin - two cappuccinos. It's pricey but worth it! We will be back

The atmosphere at dulu is nice if you are a guest or stopping by for a drink. For dinner guests it was underwhelming. Service was nice but didn't seem to match the quality of the prices. He served up multiple mocktails and cocktails with aplomb and even pulled off a ginger and lychee combination that shouldn't have worked but was delish. Almost everything else missed the mark. Staff should know to de-vein shrimp before sending out skewers. They should also know what "black and blue" means if they're serving steak. Another table ordered it and five staff members huddled around a phone at the bar to look it up like they were searching for Pokémon. The orecchiette had perfect texture, but truffle oil made half the plate inedible. The Persian crispy rice, the dish I was most looking forward to, was a complete let down. The rice was well cooked, but the eggplant filling was nearly flavorless and the meager amount of smoked tomato couldn't save it. The roasted mushroom board was good though we improved it ourselves by spreading leftover s'chug from the shrimp skewers onto the bread and layering the mushrooms on top. It also had truffle for some reason. Why? Dulu has the right ingredients to be top tier. This just wasn't their night. The bartender rescued the evening. Give that man a raise.
