My favorite burrito and shrimp tacos in town for years. Can't understand the bad reviews. Amazing shrimp and fish tacos and burritos an OG sac gem - wish they were on DoorDash for when I'm lazy!!

    Carnitas burrito and enchiladas suiza

What a sweet little local spot. The owner was such a nice guy, so hospitable and the food was good. What more can you ask for.

My first time here and I was pleasantly surprised on how good my vegetarian tacos were. I ordered the potato and cheese, and potato and poblano pepper tacos. The best part, the corn tortilla was deep fried perfectly. The cheese was stringy when I bit into it with the crunch of the corn tortilla. I would have never guessed that this was a Mexican restaurant with their name. They also served other cafe items which I did not order. My husband ordered the fish tacos and said he enjoyed and his favorite of the 2 he ordered was the Baja.

Iam a loyal customer, and now changing from 5 star to 3 star. Been eating at Cafe Capricho for around 8- 9 years , unfortunately place has slowly been going down hill. My Wife and I loved there green salsa its not available anymore, they use to give you a choice between 2 different salsas. Now they give you salsa that looks like puke and not so good. The only reason I still give them 3 star is there crunchy tacos , still some of the best and my favorite crunchy tacos. Staff are polite and professional Place is comfortable and clean

$23.00 with tip. Not worth it.

What a disappointment. I wasn't sure what type of food they served so I looked up their menu and it appeared to be Mexican food. I did not find any sort of ambiance inside. Kind of cold, cafeteria like, English 80's music. You have to stand in line to order. I ordered a plate meat and it was served in a plastic container. The food was neither authentic nor tasty. It tasted like something that came out of a can and was heated up before serving. Staff was barely friendly. I was REALLY hoping for a good meal but was left wanting. Not going back. : (

First time here and I must say I wasn't expecting much especially after seeing the reviews. The co workers wanted to here. I will say glad we did, the food was fresh and tasty! I ordered the Baja Burrito it's what the co worker recommended. I seen on the reviews the one thing people did like was the crispy cheese and potato taco, yes it was not big. But I would recommend both of those items. The burrito was great and taco was so good!

the size of their tacos smh ridiculous

The older man that took my order was extremely rude and short with me; he spoke to me as if i was annoying him with my questions about the menu. When i received my almost $5 taco i was infuriated by the size. It was literally the smallest taco i've ever ordered and based on the price i would've expected more food or at least another taco to suffice. My lunch was ruined and i left upset on how i was treated. Do not recommend!!

Each taco had a generous amount of meat, was well-prepared, and tasted fresh. The real game changer, though, was adding the jalapeño cream sauce along with a few salsas from the salsa bar which took the tacos to another level. If I could, I'd give this place 6 stars just for that! Also, I'd recommend the cucumber lime agua fresca drink. It tasted refreshing and the perfect amount of each flavor. Their menu has a great variety of options, and I noticed several people ordering the dinner plates, which looked absolutely massive. I also saw them bring out a sizzling hot skillet that I could hear from a few tables down. You definitely get your money's worth here. The service was friendly, welcoming, and incredibly fast. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, and the salsa bar was fresh, organized, and full of appetizing choices. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

The restaurant had great energy and a fun, buzzy atmosphere. The crowd was a lively mix of people from the Capitol, couples enjoying date night and moviegoers grabbing dinner before or after a show. We ordered the carnitas and carne asada. Both plates were generous and full of flavor. The carnitas were tender and practically fell apart with a fork, and the carne asada was cooked perfectly. Unfortunately, the service was lacking during our visit. One of our meals was forgotten and we had to flag down the server to let him know. Our server also wasn't around very often, so it was difficult to get refills or ask for anything we needed. When we requested a specific number of to-go boxes, we weren't given enough and had to get up and ask for additional boxes ourselves. Overall, the food was enjoyable, but I took away 1 star for the lack of service. The service could definitely use some improvement, especially since it wasn't busy when we went. With more attentive service, this could have been a much better dining experience.

They didn't just walk by like frazzled, hurried workers like most restaurants pushing through the crowds. They actually gave me a nice smile and said welcome, and then walked by. And then I got to the reception area found that there was already a pretty big crowd at around the 5:30 PM or so I guess a lot of early birds come to eat there on Sunday. The receptionist asked for how many and said you'd be like a 20 minute wait and there was chairs where people were waiting but it was only like a 15 minute wait. The server was fast with the chips and salsa and ice water and then soon the waiter came and took my order. He was really quick and witty, fun to talk to. What I really enjoyed was as the noise of the table Near quieted down and they left. I saw a young man cleaning up the table and getting it ready for the next group of people. He was dressed really nice and had a tie on. Having been in restaurants most of my life I said to myself, I bet you he works with the owners or something. And I said to him, are your related to people that own the place ? he said my parents own this place. He was very friendly and polite. He told me a tiny bit about the restaurant and how everything had been since 1970, much older than he was, he was only a sophomore in high school I think. I never really got his name, but I was kind of proud of him because he was working hard at his family's restaurant. I ordered probably something bigger than I could eat because I had to take leftovers home, but it was really a tasty meal, and they're coming out with more chips and salsa without being asked, probably didn't help as well as a second lemonade. It's really impressive when you have a well oiled machine and it appeared to me that the people that worked there seem to be happy so that's always a good sign of good management. Several years back, I worked in the restaurant industry doing maintenance and repairs so I went to a lot of different restaurants and saw a lot of things so I know what to look for. I'm definitely gonna come back when my brother and his wife come up from the Bay Area my friend Ivan he'll wanna go there for lunch or dinner I know. He's kind of a picky eater and was born in Mexico, but I think he'll be impressed with this place.
