I truly had high expectations coming to this restaurant. Staff is very nice and helpful, and we loved our server! My issue is with the menu. I would much rather have a high cost per person (at ONE pricing), and just be able to order everything from the menu. It's very messy having the 3 tiered pricing. My group went with course B. So at $42/person, I really expected high quality sushi. Nigiri was just alright, oh and they told us at time of ordering you can only order 5 variety of nigiri at a time. There were 4 of us in the group. So, you really have to coordinate and figure out what you're ordering as a group because you're limited. I liked that they had a huge menu to choose from, that was exciting! Like I mentioned, the nigiri was just alright. Not the greatest quality of fish. The rolls were good, there were a lot to choose from so there's something for everyone. For dessert, we chose the ube taiyaki which was delicious. The dessert is a tinier portion than most AYCE sushi places I've been to. Not sure if I'd recommend this place. It was busy but the wait wasn't bad. The menu was color coded. I went to their Roseville location last year and I absolutely LOVED IT. When I found out they opened one in Sacramento, I immediately hauled myself there. The value of It's Sushi is the best I've seen so far. The rice to fish ratio is PERFECTION (aka little rice and long slab of fish). The variety of choices is overwhelming at first but honestly, I know what I love, so ordering is no big deal. The new location is much larger than their original one. I loved how open it felt and how much sun came in through the windows! There's also plenty of parking in the plaza so there's no worries about that. Seated around 6:20p so the wait wasn't too long. My daughter wanted to go to this place for her Bday. They don't take reservations and I haven't been there. I was hoping for the best at 5PM. There were 6 of us. The place is in Delta Shores shopping complex which is huge. It has a lot of parking so finding a spot wasn't bad at all. I went inside and it's not a bad size place but not big for AYCE place. I told the hostess how many we had and she said it would be an hour wait. So I put our number in and they would texted you when ready. We told the rest of our party not to rush and we went shopping. As we were shopping and not even done with our first store we got the text that our table was ready. It had only been like 25 minutes. Wow. But the rest of the party wasn't here yet. We went back to the place and checked in. They really didn't say anything about our party and sat us down. We had half our group. We were right in the middle of the place. Our waiter came over and checked in and I told him we were waiting for the rest of the party. He was really great I wish I remembered his name. You only get 90 minutes here. They are strick on the time and the waiter knows the limit . the rest arrived and we started ordering. I should of kept track of how you ordered but my daughter was doing it all. I think we got 30 pieces of sushi at a time and up to 4 rolls at a time. The sushi quality was pretty good for AYCE place I was impressed. Our waiter was in charge of a lot of tables but he kept up for the most part. We had to wait a little and ask for refill of the drinks . The food kept coming and we were stuffed and the waiter said this was our last order so time was up. I couldn't even eat anymore. This place is totally worth it. Came here for lunch late Saturday just because. This restaurant is pretty large, but they were only using about half of it. When we sat in here, it reminded me of dining in Roseville because it appears modern inside; it doesn't feel like Elk Grove/South Sac area. Service was friendly and excellent from the get go. Our server explained the menu, was patient, and consistently checked in on us. There's three different courses for AYCE; we opted for the course A. The biggest difference between course A and B is that with B, you get the nigiri, but I felt like getting the rolls were just fine. Overall, the rolls were very fresh. Our server recommended the Henry roll, which was a solid choice. Other rolls we ordered included Sara, XYZ, Brian, Fukumi, X-girlfriend. Unless the number of pieces are specified, you can either order a full (8 pieces) or half roll (4 pieces). By ordering half rolls you can try more of the menu! As for other menu items we ordered, we got the spicy garlic edamame, superhero burrito, Korean fried chicken. I'd probably skip the burrito, because it contained more rice than I would like. The Korean fried chicken was like pieces of chicken breast in yangyum sauce (sweet and sour type of sauce) and it was a bit too saucy for me. For some reason I was expecting to get fried chicken wings and sauce on the side like another local Korean fried chicken restaurant. For dessert, we got the matcha ice cream and red bean ice cream. Surprisingly, I liked the red bean ice cream more than the matcha ice cream. It was not too sweet and the beans added a nice texture and creaminess. We were able to order everything we wanted and it really was so good. We ordered a ton of sushi and were not disappointed. This spot is located right next to the movie theater. It's pretty cool inside - It is a bit dark, but they have neon lights. It's definitely going for that cool club vibe because they have the electronic music going too. It was my first time in and I came on my birthday. I would say none of the rolls were impressive to me, but I did enjoy the preperation of the nigiri. We've been patrons of Its Sushi since they opened their Roseville location, so we were already familiar with the quality of their fish and expected the food to be great. What really impressed us at this location was the attentiveness and customer service of the servers. From taking our orders, bringing out the food, checking in to see if we needed anything, and refilling our drinks, the whole flow of service was truly impressive. Every staff member, from the moment we were greeted to the moment we left, had such a welcoming and professional demeanor. It really left a lasting impression. We were shown to our table for 5 and given our menus, and oh my goodness so many choices! We decided to go with menu B and I was honestly a little overwhelmed by all of the options. Came here for mothers day. Our server was Aaron who was great! Super attentive and explained everything that we needed to know. Were waited in line rough 30 minutes prior to the resturant early and were probably like the 5th table that was seated. At first the service of the food was very slow. I didn't time it exactly but I think it took like 25-30 minutes for our first order of Nigiri to come out! We were able to get appetizers quicker but it was a minute to get what we were mainly therefore. But after a hour of the restaurant being open it felt like the service was speeding up. This place is still pretty new, but it's already our favorite AYCE sushi spot. Plenty of parking by the cinemas. Busy nights usually have a wait, but they text you when your table's ready, so no need to stand around. We were quoted an hour and only waited 30 minutes. The vibe is modern with low lighting, though it does get packed. Our server, CC, was amazing. She was super fun, informative, and enthusiastic. We did the green tier AYCE and loved everything. Highly recommend the yellowtail collar, unagi nigiri, soft shell crab, bulgogi fries, lychee sherbet (had small bits), and Uber tayaki. All the nigiri overall did not disappoint. Also loved that there are sinks outside the individual unisex restrooms, making it easy to wash up without waiting for a bathroom. I was excited that It's Sushi opened a location closer to Elk Grove, so we decided to visit on Mother's Day. We arrived around 12:15 p.m. but weren't seated until nearly 2:00 p.m. I expected a longer wait because of the holiday, but it was confusing to see around 10 empty tables when we arrived and still about the same number while we were waiting to be seated. The restaurant itself is very spacious, comparable in size to Pier 50 in Arden, and the lighting inside is excellent. Our server was decent, though it seemed like he wasn't fully paying attention while taking our order since we received an item we hadn't requested. On the positive side, the food came out fairly quickly, and the quality was consistent with the Roseville location. One downside was the poor cell reception in the area -- offering Wi-Fi would definitely improve the experience. Also, the Fukumi Group has brought back their passport promotion and added three new locations. Guests who collect stamps from all nine participating locations can earn a $150 gift card. They also have a promotion where you receive a $50 bonus gift card when purchasing a $200 gift card. Definitely a great deal! read more

Went on a Thursday evening and it took over 40 minutes for a table. Front desk told us 15 minutes and then proceeded to laugh and say it'll take another 15 minutes about couple times. The food was a hit or miss. I got the yuzu yellowtail and was disappointed, the fish didn't taste fresh. The best few I had was the spicy octopus nigiri and the super white tuna nigiri. The rolls were all basically California rolls with different toppings. All really dry with hella rice. Just stick to the nigiri and the hand rolls. One of us got a fried roll but it was mainly tempura batter and rice with a California roll inside, no sauce. Dessert was disappointing, they took our orders then told us 15 minutes later they ran out of more than half the dessert menu. For the price, the service needs to be faster. They kept taking our order when our previous two orders hadn't even arrived yet. You're better off going to Pier 50 in Arden! SIDE NOTE: the bathroom are gender neutral! I'm so excited that we have a great sushi place at Delta Shores now. This potentially can get me in trouble since I live less than 10 minutes away. Located next to the theater and across from Tastea, there's plenty of parking in the surrounding areas. We came on a Friday at 5 PM and had about a 20 minute wait for a table of 3. The restaurant is pretty large, plenty of seating for groups of 4 or less. Not sure if it's great for bigger parties. The place can get pretty loud but despite being super busy, service was consistent during our visit. You can order à la carte to go or dine in. They're known for their AYCE but you can pay à la carte as well. For AYCE, there is a fee if you're unable to finish your food and there's a 90 minute time limit. There's a suggestion to order a little at a time but the only problem when it's busy (and if you order rolls), the orders get pretty backed up. I lost track of how many rolls I ordered since it took a while to get our food. Our waiter suggested we order another round while we waited and I was starving so I made the mistake of over ordering (the rice really fills you up). I am definitely coming back again and making sure I have a better ordering strategy (order all the nigiri first, then rolls and other plates is my recommendation). Pros: staff were friendly and we were able to get service consistently while waiting in between orders. Our waiter was very patient in answering my questions, even when I asked him 3 times to confirm how many rolls I ordered. The rolls are huge so I definitely don't recommend ordering too many rolls at a time if you have a small party. If you really want to get your money's worth, order the soft shell crab or any of the grilled fish Honestly, you get your money's worth ordering the nigiri in my opinion. We came for a slightly later lunch on Saturday and there was no wait for a table. There were a good number of tables but it wasn't packed like we heard dinner was. The food came out quickly, no missed items but they were still figuring some things out so we did get a few extras we didnt order but we definitely didnt mind. All the apps were delicious and the fried stuff was perfectly crispy. We didnt try any rolls as we preferred nigiri, but the ones we saw walking by looked great! Even though they just opened, business was really good, even on a rainy, stormy weekend. Luckily, we came early for dinner and didn't have to wait for a table. There were three dining options and we opted for Course B, $41.95, which included nigiri. We enjoyed a lot of salmon nigiri, some yellowtail, and a bit of tuna. My favorite was the salmon belly, which you could only get one order (2 pieces) of per person. The regular salmon was second best. The garlic salmon was good too, but it had a pinch of heat. The shiro salmon was not bad and came with onions on top. I really liked the yuzu yellowtail and regular yellowtail. The super white tuna and octopus were both good. The ratio of fish to rice was very good with plenty of fish and a small portion of rice. For non-nigiri items, we ordered corn cheese, soft shell crab, truffle salmon tartare, spicy garlic edamame, and ultimate bulgogi fries. The truffle salmon was really good because you can taste the truffle in the salmon. It comes over a tower of rice and avocado making it a little big and filling. The soft shell crab was good. We really liked the spicy garlic edamame! It had great flavor, but they give you a lot. The ultimate bulgogi fries were not bad, but way too much and filling. Its Sushi was generous with the fish, but stingy with the desserts. We were only allowed one dessert per person. I ordered the lychee sherbet, which was tasty and refreshing. We wanted vanilla ice cream and sesame balls, but could only order one so we got the sesame balls. The restaurant was nicely designed with plenty of seating indoors. Our waitress was very nice and polite. The bathrooms were nicely designed, but kind of dirty as the auto flush didn't work well and the manual flush was hard to push. Came here for dinner on opening weekend. It was super packed and busy. Waits were 2.5hr long. But luckily we had a res so we were seated immediately. The server told us upfront that the kitchen is a bit slow since they just opened and are new. We took that in mind when ordering. The sushi is just as good and fresh as other locations. The wait times definitely can be improved greatly though. I will give them grace this time for being new and super busy from the hype. It's Sushi has finally arrived! It's Sushi (and its sister restaurant Pier 50) is my favorite AYCE sushi restaurant in the area. I'm so glad I don't have to drive out to Roseville now! This location is so much bigger and very spacious. The decor is modern and I love the giant windows and natural light that comes in. Tons of servers and food runners working, and everyone was very friendly! She explained how their menu worked, and took our order right away. Even though she prefaced the soft opening and explained that orders may take long, it didn't seem super long to us at all! But we did come early at 5:00 before the dinner rush arrived. The menu is pretty much the same as their original location so it was easy for us to pick our favorites. We like going with Course B because it includes the nigiri, which is a must for us! My favorites are the garlic salmon and yuzu yellowtail. For the rolls on the back side of the menu, make sure to order half size if you have a small party, otherwise you'll be stuck with a full size roll. Since they're still in soft opening definitely just be patient - but honestly no complaints from me for my first visit!! We'll be back soon! read more

It's finally here! A group of 8 of us came to try the delta shore location since some of us have been to the Roseville location. Can confirm, this location is superior! We checked in at 1pm on a Sunday and waited an hour. Not a big deal since we were a bigger group and expected to wait since they just opened. We walked around Delta Shores and they texted us to let us know when table was ready! All of us got the course B, which is all most of all the apps, fried stuff, rolls, and nigiri. It was $41.95 per person, there is a 20% gratuity for parties of 6 or more. With tip and tax, it ended up being roughly $53 dollars per person! I will say it is a bit more expensive than the Roseville location and pier 50 (owned by the same people) but worth it. Everything we tried tasted great! The quality and freshness was 10/10. I hope they keep up the quality even after the grand opening. The fish quality was A+ and the rice to fish ration was perfect. First off, our server Will was awesome! Very quick and attentive during a whole rush! This was me and my gf's first time at this delta shores location. Inside is much more roomier and clean, with benches (could easily fit 4, possibly 6) throughout the rows, with tables around the perimeter of the room for larger parties. As for our salmon, the handrolls did have much more rice and the fish was only jumbled at the top, in lieu of their Roseville location where they had it uniformly packed. Each bite of the handrolls started with the most amount of fish, with barely any in the middle. Their cajun and paprika salmon nigiri was drowned in sauce which me and my gf didnt really like. The taste of seared salmon was not present due to the shear volume of sauce overpowering the fish. Although the first few rounds of nigiri was tolerable, the overwhelming presence of excessive sauce killed the mood for more. I hope this location can replicate what is produced in the Roseville location, where their proportioning is elite and thoughtful. We've been long awaiting the opening of a Its Sushi closer to our house than Roseville and it does not disappoint as usual. All of the nigiri was fantastic as we've come to expect from the Fukumi restaurant group. We arrived at 3:30 PM on the first Saturday they were open and did not wait at all. The staff were extremely friendly, and positive given the rush they've been experience. The price point is a bit higher for Course B but so so worth it. Our favorites still include the paprika seared salmon, chicken nuggets, truffle salmon tartare, freshwater eel, super white tuna, and yuzu yellowtail. Our friends also enjoyed the lemon salmon roll, teriyaki chicken, Henry roll, and Ex-Girlfriend rolls. The restaurant is definitely larger and can accommodate more patrons. We tried this again last thursday and we got to try some of their appetizers and nigiris. The bulgogi fries is really good. The poke nachos needs to add some more salmon in their, it feels like it is so few we want more of it. Love the corn cheese and ofcourse our favorite super white tuna is the most favorite of all. We always eat liks 20pcs or more of this one. Since this is near to our house we will come back again to try other menus. read more

I was really disappointed with my experience at this location. Unfortunately, both the food and the service were a letdown. The quality of the fish was noticeably worse than the other It's Sushi location I've been to. The sushi didn't taste as fresh, and overall the food wasn't nearly as good. The customer service was even more disappointing. We're regulars at the Roseville location, so we were expecting similar service. When we had a question about the dessert menu, it was because the Roseville location offers different options and services, and we genuinely wanted to understand how this location worked. Instead of simply explaining the difference, a passing waitress named Yen responded with, "It's on the menu," in a condescending tone that made us feel like we were stupid for asking, as if we hadn't already read it. All we wanted was to be treated with basic respect. We weren't asking anything unreasonable--we were simply trying to understand the differences between the two locations. A polite explanation would have taken just a few seconds, but instead we were met with attitude. No customer should be made to feel talked down to for asking a simple question. The Roseville location has consistently had friendlier service and much better-quality fish. Based on this experience, I'd rather make the drive to Roseville than return to this location. read more

Tried out Its Sushi last Friday and I am left underwhelmed. First off, it's not everyday we get an all you can eat (AYCE) sushi restaurant within the Sacramento area without traveling too far. AYCE sushi can sometimes fall flat on delivery & execution. There were some things we liked, some things we didn't like and things that can be approved. Came as a party of 6 on a Friday at 5:30 pm and seated immediately. One thing I was told was that the timer starts as soon as we sit down. So even though I came early, I still had to wait for the remainder of my party to come since I didn't want the time to start prematurely. Our booth/table was small and cramped. Unsure how a larger party would sit but we were seated with not much room for those that sat on the bench side. It was tight to say the least. We ordered our waters & drinks first then appetizers. We chose course A which was anything in pink font. Didn't know how full we would get from rolls and apps so we went with a safer option. Initially, we had problems with our water. I got 1 soda and everyone else got water. What came out was 1 soda and 4 waters. We reminded our server more than a couple times to bring another cup of water. Each time was met with "Yes I'll bring it out." He left and probably got distracted, came back with nothing and proceeded to ask us what would we like to order for rolls. Again, mentioned a 3rd time the cup of water hasn't come out and we started to order our rolls. But as we started to order the rolls, our server left mid sentence as soon as it was mentioned that the water cup never came. He returned with water and then proceeded to take our orders. I felt that was rude to suddenly leave mid sentence as we were about to order the main rolls. There are just so many rolls to choose from. I don't remember exactly which rolls we ordered but some notable mentions included Ring of Fire, Coco roll, & Jessica Albacore. Really enjoyed the ring of fire roll. Appetizers we ordered were spicy & regular edamame, ultimate bulgogi fries, miso soup, fried rice and scallop roll, shrimp tempura and veggie tempura. I recommend skipping the scallop roll as it was a tofu pocket with a lot of rice and lightly marinated scallop. Lacked a lot of flavor and the ones we've made at home taste better. There was just way too much rice. I'd also recommend on skipping the spicy edamame. It was more salted than spicy. A lot of seasoning without the kick. Speaking of rice, the ratio of rice to sushi filling overall wasn't 1:1. It felt like 2:1. More rice than filling which I get since rice is cheaper overall but can essentially fill you up. Yes, our server did offer us the option of half or full rolls but half wouldn't be beneficial for our party of 6. And yes, there's a charge for leftovers including rice. So only order and eat what you can. I don't recommend ordering appetizers that can essentially fill you up before hand like soup, fried rice to name a few. While I didn't order soup for myself and snacked on a few appetizers, I still gradually became full on sushi itself. Presentation wise, sushi looked really nice and not sloppy. My rolls didn't come apart when picked up. Taste wise felt underwhelming. Not many stood out to me. Dessert was included too but if you're only Course A (pink) you only get to choose from vanilla, red bean and green tea ice cream. I recommend skipping red bean ice cream. It tasted like vanilla ice cream with added red beans. I heard green tea and vanilla flavors were good. Wait time for food was slow. I get it, rolls are made fresh and there's a bit of waiting in between for all to be made. But, appetizers took a long time to come out too. Things to improve upon: food wait times. Appetizers came out slowly and seasoning for the spicy edamame needs work. Unsure how to improve sushi wait times. I think the long wait times is unavoidable since all rolls are made to order and fresh. Plus if you order a lot of rolls at once, the wait times can be a little longer. Service needs to be better. In the beginning, it was very hard to flag down our server. When we needed him, he was nowhere to be found. Towards the end when we declined the 3rd and 4th round because we were getting full, he was highly attentive and kept coming back to check on us. In concept, good place to try out. It's different than other sushi AYCE places I've tried. Did it deserve that hype on social media? That remains to be seen. I review based on my experience only. read more

Went here the other night and This place was so good. The food was amazing and came out really fast which I wasn't expecting since it was pretty busy when we went. What really stood out was the service -- everyone was super friendly and welcoming. We also got seated way faster than I thought we would for how packed it was, so major props to the staff for keeping things moving. If you haven't tried it yet, definitely worth the visit. I wanted to update my previous review of Its Sushi at Delta Shores. Since leaving my earlier review, I've been back twice and had a much better experience both times. I was seated promptly, the food was good, and I received excellent service from my server. This place is also a very good value. They offer a large variety of items, including higher-end sushi options such as uni, amaebi, salmon belly, and more. It's nice to see an all-you-can-eat spot offering items you don't usually find at many places in this price range. One piece of advice though -- don't arrive here "hangry." Like many popular AYCE sushi spots, there can sometimes be a wait during busy hours. But once seated, the experience was enjoyable and worth it. I appreciate the improvement and consistency during my recent visits and will definitely be coming back again. read more

This was my first time dining at It's Sushi at Delta Shores, and I had a wonderful experience. The customer service was excellent, especially from Aaron. He is a young man with exceptional manners and outstanding service. I would definitely ask for him again on my next visit. He was very helpful, attentive, and made sure our order was correct from start to finish. Aaron, he is the young man behind the cheezy girls. The ambiance is vibrant and energetic, with great music that creates a fun atmosphere. It can be a bit loud, but in a good way--it feels like the kind of place where you just want to get up and dance along to the music. Overall, a great dining experience with excellent service, good food, and a lively vibe. I look forward to coming back. read more

This may be the review with two parts. I am immunocompromised, so all of the dishes I ordered had to be cooked in some way or another. I ordered tamago, a fried Philadelphia roll, teriyaki salmon, grilled mackerel, and steamed rice. Everything I ordered came out pretty well, and our server was prompt and took the time to answer questions. I would say for a non-RAW eater, there was a wide amount of dishes to try in the all you can eat ordering system. My wife got the opposite....orders almost entirely of raw seafood...too many to name.
