Being a "Yelper" I read allot of reviews for this restaurant before going and found them to be helpful. Old World/Old School Friendly and delicious food is how I would describe this establishment. It is small, it gets loud but it's a warm and welcoming space. I give it a 4.3, everything we tasted was excellent, from the stuffed mushrooms, the calamari and are entrees the food was fantastic!

Let me start by saying I ordered take out but I wanted to try it due to all the amazing reviews! All 5 stars and I think I saw like two 1 star reviews. So when I got my dinner I began cutting my chicken picatta to give to my son. I immediately was unable to cut through it and thought oh no tough chicken but it was a huge pink vein. It grossed me out immediately and rendered a good portion of it inedible. Luckily the portion size was large. The chicken piccata was actually really good though! The calamari was extremely overcooked to the point it was burnt- the whole entire order was inedible! I also paid for mashed potatoes ($7) and never received them! A bit disappointed there- but I'm not the type to call and complain so I let it go. The homemade pasta was delicious but the sauce wasn't great at all- my friend agreed. My other friend said the veal was excellent at 10/10! Overall we had a ton of misses on this evenings dinner but it definitely has potential! My chicken piccata was good and the portion size was large- the homemade macaroni was great but the sauce was off. The calamari was inedible and we couldn't eat it at all. Literally tasted like you were chewing on a shoelace. However for tonight's meal with all the problems I'm going to have to rate it at 3. I do think I would try it again- but I would like either my money back for my mashed potatoes that I paid for and never received or some type of credit to use toward my next meal.

Excellent service. Good food. Menu offerings on the smaller side but solid choice if you don't like a lot of seafood

BEWARE!! This place is very dirty! The bathroom at Cafe Vino was the filthiest bathroom I've ever been in! I'll never go back.

This is one of the best hidden gems of the providence area…read more If ever any of you are in the Providence area and you want a really authentic Italian dinner without the price, pretension, and hassle of Federal Hill , but also a restaurant that accommodates families, I highly suggest "Posillipo" off the beaten path on Waterman Ave in North Providence. I've been there twice now and their food is amazing and the ambiance and hospitality are so very rare. You walk in and it feels like being invited to a family dinner. First time I had the Lobster Pescatoré. Was fantastic. Tonight I had their special Rack of Lamb. They asked how I wanted it and delivered perfectly. The chef/owner Luigi is a really friendly older man from Italy. He's the real deal and he runs an amazing restaurant and kitchen. He once told us that he goes to the market at dawn every day to pick out the choicest produce. Everything is made fresh. The Place isn't fancy, but they've made it nice with the space they have. It is a hidden gem. They serve only beer and wine, soda and water. I've only gotten half carafes of Cab. But the chef came out and had shots of homemade limoncello with us before and gave us complimentary Bruschetta. Rumor is they get their bread from Buono Italian Bakery in Providence. I've been there for double dinner dates and dinner with the kids. I highly recommend.

This pizza place is a room on the corner of the building. The bar takes up the majority of the room. It's pretty cool. I love the decor. It was a Tuesday night so there was only one other table to wait on. If it were busy, I wonder how loud it gets in this place. Will I go back? Probably not. While the space is inviting, I personally feel the televisions take away from the otherwise refined atmosphere and give it more of a neighborhood‑bar feel. Our server, Sarah, was absolutely fantastic. Her service was impeccable, especially considering she was managing both the bar and our table. We started with the Antipasto, which was excellent. My wife ordered the Pollo Limone, and I had the Linguine Shrimp Scampi--both dishes were flavorful and very enjoyable. What stood out most was the décor. The restaurant's setting in a beautifully restored Victorian home creates a charming ambiance and makes it an ideal choice for a date night. Highly recommended for a romantic evening out. We will definitely be returning soon.

The host seemed surprised to see us despite being right on time for our reservation but we were seated right away after a quick exchange. Our server Erik came right over with a smile and continued to be a consummate professional throughout the evening. I wish I could have him be my server everywhere I go. We started the night with some seasonal cocktails. The spiced pear old fashioned was to die for. Complete with a solitary large cube and balanced flavors it was delicious. Our table had veal parm, linguine and white clam, and lasagna. Each dish was fresh and executed perfectly. It's a garlic lovers paradise but never overpowering, in a way any Nonna would approve. For dessert we split a slice of limoncello cake. The cake was so light and fluffy it was like eating air. Even the frosting was light enough where it didn't feel like we were stuffing ourselves to finish it. It's a smaller place so it gets busy quickly and can be a little loud. I would highly recommended a reservation as I don't think you'd have much luck getting a table on a weekend. There was a bar area with some seats but it's probably not easy to get a seat there either. As the old adage goes, if a restaurant is full all the time there's a good reason why ;)
