I can't Beleive I never reviewed this place as we have been a few times already. It's a great place for date night and they also host your bday , baby shower , etc. . It is easy to get to , right off of mineral spring ave. Parking lot has plenty of room. The inside is very modern and makes it feel like this is a special place to eat. The staff are all wonderful and make sure our drinks were kept full. I typically get the pizza because ifs fabulous but also had a hankering for a burger and it was one of the best I've ever had. Came to The Social after the wine tasting at Douglas Liquors! I have been wanting to try their fish and chips for a while now and they did not disappoint! I don't like when the fish has a thick batter and this one was perfect. Stopped here while visiting my son who goes to college in the area... The restaurant was decorated nicely and seemed like a good fit for our tight schedule. While our server was bartending and handling tables in the dining room, she was personable and attentive. She constantly topped off our drinks and made conversation. We had high hopes for the pizza, meatballs, and wings. Unfortunately, the pizza missed the mark. The toppings were loaded up on a thin crust which buckled over when you tried to eat it by hand. Instead, I had to use a fork and knife, but it was dry and tough to cut apart. Not sure why. The meatballs were ok, and my son enjoyed the wings. The restaurant of their menu looked good. The service was great very friendly bartender she made me the best chai martini ever totally recommend it. I order the soups de clam it's in a red sauce very delicious. Today is Friday the music is good very lively personality I like it but if you want a quiet romantic place the music is a little loud so everyone is speaking somewhat loudly lol but everybody seems to be having a good time as well. I love the ambiance. It's 9:46 and the place is not super packed which is ok, I think I missed the rush ;) they have four TV's captions on .. over all I will come back to try the ribeye stake with crab meat on top. read more

On a recent visit we were disappointed to see they had dropped 3 items from their menu from our last visit. They were; 14oz NY sirloin, baked stuffed shrimp, and most disappointing of all was their delicious scrod dish with champagne sauce. Service was excellent as usual! Asked if maybe the chef could make the scrod dish for me, but was told no. Not sure chef was asked, I think decision was made by servers SMH. Not sure of a return visit anytime soon. read more

Even when busy we are always seated quickly. Service always friendly. Food is inconsistent. Last time boneless tenders were great. This time slightly overcooked and dry. I wasn't a fan of the CBR pizza. Toppings were very inconsistent. Mostly centered in middle. Barely any chicken or bacon (you can see in my photos). So this was the first time I've been back to the Social after some previously less than impressive visits when they first opened. Stopped in tonight after a long day at work for a drink and a late dinner. We were seated quickly and were just about to question whether anything had changed when a very effervescent Nicole came over and apologized for not getting to us sooner and took our drink order. We were going to get just a simple Pepperoni pizza but instead went with the CBR (which is totally outside my wheelhouse) but my fiancee tires of 'Roni. We also decided to try their thicker Sicilian style rectangular pie. So the Chicken Bacon Ranch was a surprisingly good pizza and while it's tough getting past the lack of red sauce ... this was an impressive pizza nonetheless. We were also quite hungry too so that didn't hurt our judging factor. Nicole's personality definitely helped; she was smiling and outgoing and chatty even in an otherwise busy dining room. I still think the prices at the Social are a tad high and I know we can eat at other places in North Providence for less. read more

Chicken parm nice and thin and crispy, 2 big pieces and the pasta was perfectly al dente. My friends fish and chips was fresh and cooked just right. We got martinis and margaritas very happy with our drinks. Where they lost a star was the pasta fagioli. I don't know what that was but that was not soup. Went tonight with family and it was very good. We had delicious drinks. Calamari and zuppa apps were A+. Had the scrod dinner and it was excellent, very tasty and cooked very well. A nice change from the usual baked stuffed scrod at most places. Kids had a pizza which had an excellent crust. Service was good even though they were very busy. Manager/owner came by to ask if everything was ok 2 times, a big plus in my book. Finally! A local spot that has phenomenal food! The pizza is amazing, especially the pepperoni one.. with thick cut pepperoni! The margarita is delicious, too! This was our first time trying this place. Surprised for a Saturday night it wasn't that busy but we went somewhat late so probably missed the busy rush. Every time we drive by the parking lot is full. We got in and got seated quickly. They had a musician playing acoustic music which was a nice touch didn't expect that. We decided to split an order of buffalo tenders and a chicken parm sandwich. The tenders came out first they were nice and saucy and tasty only downfall was they were not very hot or the fries I'm not sure if they were up before our sandwich and waiting to be sent out at the same time but they were still tasty. The chicken parm sandwich came out before we were even done with the tenders large sandwich and portion of fries. This plate came out hot fries and sandwich were nice and hot. I could tell by looking at other people who ordered hot sandwich's that I wasn't a fan of the bread it was going to be on but I would just eat the chicken if I didn't like the bread and I was right on the money about the bread it was hard as a rock really couldn't enjoy it as a sandwich had to remove the bread and just eat the chicken. The chicken was nicely fried not overcooked or greasy and you could tell it was fresh chicken not frozen. We were super excited to have this place open up right near us. Unfortunately, the only thing we really liked about this place was the vibe. We ordered drinks, wings, and a pizza. The wings were not all that flavorful, which was disappointing because they definitely had potential. Except all the flavor was at the bottom of the skillet instead of on the actual wing. Served traditional calamari with no lemon or marinara sauce. (Had to ask for it) The anti-pasta was so spicy it was almost inedible and our waitress made it very clear she didn't want to be there and was no help when we voiced concerns. Large bar space for gai & cozy table/booth seating. Waitstaff was very friendly and accommodating (just know). The two plates ordered were linguini marinara w/ little necks and veal cutlet parm dinner - mamma Mia! The sauce was delicious, clams were fresh and plentiful. Our new favorite so close to home. Greeted by friendly hostess and waited on by Alexa who was so sweet. The homemade foccia bread and oil was a meal in itself. We order the wings for apps the flavor like no other. Our entrees were chicken Parmigiana mine with fettuccine and his penne. I love sangria and enjoyed every drop. Pete came by to checl and see if we enjoyed and we quickly told him how much we enjoyed everything and that we would definitely be back.
