The mango mojito was soo refreshing tropical and minty. I loved the bowl that I got. A perfect combination of all the textures made it the best choice for me. My friend ate bit of her salad only because it was too soupy. She liked the flavor though. I didn't like how the person taking my order spoke to me. I couldn't understand what she was saying and I asked her to repeat herself. She talked to me in a very flat tone which just made it more difficult to understand. English isn't my first language and my anxiety causes my hearing to go. For the sake of people with hearing problems and language barriers, I hope that person learns how to speak kindly to others.

Usually we have a good experience here and the food is good. But the last couple times we've come here the portion sizes are horrible for how much you're paying. They forgot my rice in my BYOB and they gave me this tiny side of rice... plus we asked for extra protein and basically got one sliver of extra meat. The service is mid because they all looked annoyed half the time. Otherwise the restaurant is chill and clean.

Great place to have a bite. Pretty healthy and easy and delicious food. The people are nice the place felt clean and the music wasn't that loud. The food is freshly made and prepared in front of you.

My girlfriends and I eat out about every 6 weeks and this has become our favorite restaurant! I love seeing a couple of the same workers every time (the first gal on the line that takes our order, I didn't catch her name, and John, who usually rings us out.) They are very friendly, and as I said, it's nice to see them month after month. The food is always fresh and I love getting the chocolate dipped strawberry! That was such a surprise the first time we visited and that coupled with all the great choices of food keep us coming back. And there has always been enough room for us to sit even though the parking lot is full when we pull in and the place is busy. The restaurant is clean and the bathrooms are clean, too. Also good music playing but it's also quiet enough to hear each other talk. We love this place and will keep coming back! Thank you for providing a great restaurant with fresh food choices - and the free strawberry!

What is left of my grilled cheese and half/half soup after I devoured it in the first few minutes!

My new go to soup, sandwich and salad plate. Went with my sister-in-law for lunch. Ordered at the counter. I got the grilled cheese sandwich with pesto and a half and half soup. Half cauliflower and half tomato. I was in heaven with both. I had devoured most of my meal before I took pictures because it looked so good and tasted even better. The grilled cheese with the pesto was over the top delicious and the soups were so rich and comforting and out of this world good. I also received a side of bread and a super special touch is the chocolate covered strawberry. I will be back again and again!! You order at the counter and the fill your order as you walk down the line. Everyone was friendly and the restaurant was nice, clean and bright!

I went with a spicy chorizo soup, which was delicious, paired with with the Pesto Mozzarella "Sammich" - fresh Mozzarella, Pesto, Heirloom Tomato, Baby Spring Lettuce, and Balsamic Glaze on a Toasted French Roll. It came with a side of veggies and dip. I grabbed a seat at the counter overlooking the street and they brought out my food as soon as it was ready. Everything was warm, the portions were generous (I took half of my sandwich home), and the food was delicious! The prices are on the higher side, but you're getting generous portion sizes and high quality ingredients. I stuck with water but there is a nice selection of beverages and some local treats for dessert available. They also have prepackaged soups in a cooler with a variety of sizes and flavors available to take to go. I'll be back to try a flight of soups or another tasty soup & sammie combo!

It came out with nicely salted butter for the soft bread served on the side. For soups I got a dill tomato, curry lentil, hatch black bean, and cream of mushroom. The dill tomato was my favorite, I may try to recreate this at home since I am not from the area. The curry lentil was very filling and rich. The hatch black bean soup was something different to try- I ended up really liking it. Lastly, the cream of mushroom soup was not my favorite. It felt very plain and the mushrooms were cut into slices, I think I prefer more of a chopped or slivered mushroom. They have great natural lighting and plenty of seating. I sat and studied at one of the tables for a while.

The lunch menu has a huge variety of options, which made it tough to choose. I went with the BLT on sourdough, served with a pickle spear and thick-cut potato chips. It totally hit the spot. The bacon they use is fantastic. My friend ordered the Sriracha Melt (ham, pepperoni, mozzarella, jalapeños, and sriracha mayo grilled on white bread), which also came with chips and a pickle. Immediately devoured. The salads looked incredible....the table next to us ordered a couple and they looked absolutely divine. Next time for sure. The adjacent market is a must-browse too. It's packed with specialty products and rare finds that you don't see everywhere, making it easy to walk out with way more than you planned. Great food, great service, and a fun market to explore. Highly recommend stopping in if you're anywhere near West Allis.

There was a covered patio seating area that was also being utilized. After lunch, we browsed the connected store, with a nice selection of cheese and sausage, of course, and lots of great local products. You order at the counter and then seat yourself (if you're dining in). We started our experience with an order of their crab rangoon, which was delicious and easily one of the best crab rangoon we've enjoyed. My my main, I ordered one of their soups with chicken and rice noodles. It comes out in a heated hot pot (boiling!). The soup has a nice little kick of spice but beyond that was just a bit bland. Our server was kind and prompt throughout our visit. The dining room is small but comfortable and the portions are ample. We all had some left to take home. While their soup wasn't exactly my cup of tea, it was hot and warmed my winter evening. I'm also anxious to come back for some of their other menu items.

We popped in for a late lunch after craving something new. I had Laojiu in my bookmarks and it was on the way to where we were headed later, so perfect! It's not a huge restaurant, but there's several large tables and it's such a cozy space. Definitely unexpected from a strip mall. There a lot to park in and it's easy to find- right o. The NE corner of Oklahoma and Hwy 100. Since it was fairly late, about 2:30 or so, there was no wait and the restaurant was not crowded. We placed our order at the front and then sat ourselves. The wait wasn't long at all, maybe 10 minutes before our dishes were brought out to us. If it was longer, I certainly didn't notice. The seats were comfortable and we were enjoying our Jasmine green tea and conversation. My husband had the spicy heather rice noodles. The flavors were there, albeit on the salty side. His chief complaint was that the items within the dish kept separating out. Likely due to the oils. Every bite was either noodles or one of the mixed in ingredients. My dish, on the other hand, was easy to get everything in one bite. Even with chopsticks. The stir fried udon was not crispy, which I was curious about. It was still toothy and delicious with the mixed vegetables and chicken. The sauce was neither overpowering nor too abundant. Everything was coated but not drowning, if that makes sense. I'm a huge fan of udon noodles and this dish was simply comforting. The menu itself is not overwhelming but there are plenty of items to choose from. I'm definitely going back and I will try not to get the same thing, but I make no promises! Price point is moderate but worth it for the amount of food. Roughly $30 for two drinks and two entrees.

On to the meat counter and I would sample 4-5 of 1/8 of a pound deli meats. While my first meat choice was being sliced an older blond woman would intervene with a nasty attitude and said no 1/8 of a pound because the minimum on deli meats is 3/4 of a pound and there is signs stating that I didn't notice ? Well I don't need 5 pounds of deli meat for sampling. Then I get what are we supposed with the meat we already sliced and I said I will buy it and was only .520 of a pound which was not their minimum quantity that they stated, I would have spent about $10 more in the deli if they didn't have a ridiculously unusual policy. I have been ordering deli meat most of my life and this is the first time I had to order a minimum quantity, am I in the twilight zone ??.
