My go to spot when I'm under the weather. So much comfort in the soups they make. This visit I left with a trio of soup. Chicken and dumpling has a good broth with plenty of crunchy carrots and flavorful chicken. Tried the pulled pork with beans chili for the first time and enjoyed the nice balance of sweet and tangy. The last in the trio and my personal favorite, is the African peanut and chicken. Such an enjoyable combination of spicy flavors mixed with rice and chicken. Bowls come with bread and the friendly staff will also add in crackers and butter. Good way to help shoo the flu or get some comfort when you have a winter cold. Get your soup on!

1/2 of the sandwich I got. It was a BIG sandwich

I am glad my husband and I came across this place! The food here is amazing and the service is fast and friendly although the prices are a bit on the higher side for a soup and sandwich place. The place is a little small and may feel cramped if it's full but there were about 6 others there when we went and it wasn't bad. The only negative thing is that when I used the restroom, it felt like the toilet was going to come right out the the wall because it was so wobbly. I am 5'11" and 180 pounds. A toilet shouldn't wobble for me haha.

The Tailgate Soup (Beer Cheese w/ Bratwurst). A quart of it and only two chunks of brat! But more bratwurst than apologies! Sad.

This location could use a good refresher course in customer service. Let me start by saying this was definitely not our first visit to this location, but it could very well be our last. My husband picked up 2 quarts of soup (to go) late in the morning, and when I poured them into pans to reheat them for dinner the Tailgate Soup was abysmal. If you check their description, it should be Beer Cheese Soup with chunks of bratwurst in it. Well, let me tell you . . . the beer cheese soup was a gloppy mess because it had already broken, which tells me it had been reheated - by them - at too high a temperature. I hadn't even turned the heat on under my saucepan yet! But even more disappointing was that there were 2, counted 'em twice to make sure and still only needed the fingers on one hand, 2 small pieces of bratwurst in the whole quart!! So I called to lodge a complaint and was told that they just ladle the stuff, they don't count how many pieces of the ingredients end up in a container. Some people get more, some get less. No apologies were offered. Just an excuse and basically I was told, that's your hard luck. Their price for a quart of cheese soup turns out to be $11.50 plus tax. Ok, I guess the 50 cents was for the two 3/4 inch long bratwurst chunks, so $11 for cheese soup. In Wisconsin!!! America's dairyland!! Sad...so sad.

Food is probably 3-4 stars, customer service is 0-1 stars, so I average it out to a 2.

The lunch menu has a huge variety of options, which made it tough to choose. I went with the BLT on sourdough, served with a pickle spear and thick-cut potato chips. It totally hit the spot. The bacon they use is fantastic. My friend ordered the Sriracha Melt (ham, pepperoni, mozzarella, jalapeños, and sriracha mayo grilled on white bread), which also came with chips and a pickle. Immediately devoured. The salads looked incredible....the table next to us ordered a couple and they looked absolutely divine. Next time for sure. The adjacent market is a must-browse too. It's packed with specialty products and rare finds that you don't see everywhere, making it easy to walk out with way more than you planned. Great food, great service, and a fun market to explore. Highly recommend stopping in if you're anywhere near West Allis.

Had a great lunch at West Allis Cheese & Sausage Shoppe!…read more We ordered The Cliff (turkey, bacon, pepper cheese, tomato, arugula, and avocado crema on ciabatta) and the breakfast sandwich special a Smoked Ham Bagel (jalapeño cheddar, ham, jalapeño cream cheese, hot honey, and fried egg). Both were fantastic! There was street parking available, and while we arrived at a peak time, we were able to find a table after a brief wait once we ordered. There was a covered patio seating area that was also being utilized. After lunch, we browsed the connected store, with a nice selection of cheese and sausage, of course, and lots of great local products. Friendly service, generous portions, and delicious food - we'll be back!

I saw a picture of their breakfast burrito on social media and made plans to stop the next day. In addition to the breakfast burrito, which came with a side of hash browns, I ordered cheddar broccoli soup and was gifted a brownie for visiting. The breakfast burrito is build your own with a bunch of different options for meats, cheese, and veggies. I went with bacon, American cheese, and spinach and wasn't disappointed. The burrito was hefty and every one of the ingredients stood out. This is something I would definitely come back for. The three hash brown patties tasted as you'd expect and I appreciate that they weren't cold in the middle or bland. You can definitely notice the freshness in the soup. It was thick and used actual florets of broccoli, not just the stalks. Given the size of the burrito I had just eaten, though, I wish there was an option for a smaller portion of soup. The bowl was large and if you just plan on having that as a meal it's fine, but I would have preferred buying a cup as compared to a large bowl. Hopefully that's something they consider as a menu tweak. I'm not a big brownie person, but I enjoyed it. Like the burrito and the soup, it was a sizable portion, so worth the price if you're buying one. I'd be interested in trying their lemon bar or coffee cake on a future visit as those are more up my alley. I enjoyed talking to the woman who was prepping the dining area while I was there. She mentioned that Senor Luna's next door is their sister location and that Miss Daisy's has such early hours (currently 5am during the week) so as to cater to the nearby business park. I appreciate the early hours because I can easily make it there and back over to where I work in plenty of time.

The decor is unique with a funky woodsy theme that includes a taxidermy bear, fish tank and two inside tables. My service was friendly and fast. I would order the the north woods spicy Italian which is pepperoni, salami, bacon, tomato, red onion, fresh mozzarella pepper Jack cheese, mayo and giardiniera 9 inch at a premium price of $16. First off it actually measured over 10 inches, thank you SW. The sandwich looked good on sesame seed Italian bread which is the perfect bread for sandwiches. The side view looked great and they don't skimp on anything. The fresh toppings, meats etc were plentiful. The Italian bread was perfect because it was fresh with that slight chew in the crust and slightly dense to hold up to this messy sandwich and the generous mayo really makes this sandwich. My first bite was like WOW this is fu%king delicious and a more like a gourmet sub compared to the well known chains. I don't mind paying a premium price for something that is better than most sandwich shops. Overall I'm impressed with this sandwich quality and quantity vs taste.
