Both watches were repaired for fair prices and expertly. Previous estimates quoted total overhaul and replacement of parts. In fact both watches were no more than six months old. The second watch I waited three weeks for an inflated estimate. Franklin Clock shop and Mahmoud repaired the watch in one day!! I am grateful to Mahmoud and wanted to praise him for his honesty and fairness. I will always bring my work to him in the future and my word of mouth will bring additional customers I hope.

Came here yesterday to get the latch on my silver chain fixed. Not Kathe's Jewelry. I walk in there, expecting to just drop the chain off and pay some money for the repair job, but the guy working behind the counter (who I think also co-owns the place???) took my chain to the back for literally 30 seconds and then came back with it good as new and told me it was free of charge. He even gave me an old-fashioned handshake at the end like we were longtime friends. Made me feel like a special man walking out of that place. At any rate, if you live in the East Village or anywhere near it, don't go to any other store for your jewelry repair. The guys that own and operate Kathe's are so friendly and down-to-earth, and it looked to me like they were selling some nice pieces, too. 10/10.
