Cute little coffee spot in the area. I stopped by when showing my family around town for some coffee. There were a ton of seating but all taken up by remote workers. Each person took up two tables or entire couches which was really annoying. They also didn't have any seating outside so my boyfriend and I ended up sitting on the chair by the bar and my parents shared a couch with one of the remote workers. Overall, it's a cute place and coffee was good but it seemed like it was a coffee place mainly for remote workers rather than one of those places you can sit and have a coffee with family and friends. I don't know if the case is different on other days but this was on a Monday, so I guess that's why maybe. The coffee itself was good. I ordered the iced mocha which I liked. My parents got the hot mocha and iced vanilla latte which they enjoyed, and my boyfriend got an iced tea which he thought was okay. read more

Even though the shop is way smaller than what it looks on the photo, it still has nice and sweet vibes inside. It's super clean, nice, quiet and honey inside. Loved the photos from Burning Man too. I tried a BBQ panini, Yumen latte and my friend tried salmon bagel. Overall we were pretty happy with the food- both the taste and presentation. My panini was delicious- broccoli, cheese and mayo like sauce instead was yummy! I also very enjoyed the drink- it had a coconuty taste with light notes of condensed milk- super cool! Stumbled across this place as I walked down State Street. I popped in and was immediately impressed with the atmosphere- gorgeous water fountain with wooden tables nicely spread out. Open, airy vibe with greenery sprayed around the walls and ceiling, with lights and beautiful pink flowers too. Service is friendly and quick. They offer specialty coffee and drinks to get your day going. They also have a small but mighty menu of food options (bagels, avocado toast, and yogurt granola bowl). I had their Greek Yogurt bowl (10/10) - it was seriously the best! The granola was fresh and crunchy, and the fruit was sweet, with great color and sweet natural flavor! Every bite was incredible. I enjoyed this cozy quaint coffee shop. I was visiting Santa Barbara on a day trip after riding the train. I stopped by Starbucks to use the restroom where they had zero seating and were not friendly at all. This prompted me search for a better experience. I walked 10-15 up and discovered this gem. The inside was beautifully decorated & the barista's spoke & smiled upon my entry. I love that the cafe was busy yet chill & quiet enough for studying, working or reading. It has the soul that many Starbucks locations have lost or pushed away. I was really surprised how tasty my Jupiter's Forest ( Latte) sometimes aesthetically pleasing doesn't always equal delicious. But, it was both. My only small gripe is the gray cushions along the wall need a good cleaning or replacement. read more

Got the Yemen...just tastes like hot chocolate with a subtle difference. Also got the Jupiter. Tasted like chai with watery coffee. Caje has very creative and well crafted coffee drinks that looks like something you might be served at a bar , but instead it's the one of best coffee drink sans alcohol :). We oreded the " burnout " specialty drink and it was so delicious! So easy to drink . I will say it was definitely higher cost for a coffee drink but it's an experience so enjoy . The good: I tried the yemen coffee drink and vanilla latte. Both were great. The vanilla syrup didn't taste artificial. The yemen drink needs to be consumed in store and was served with a toasted marshmallow, and toasted coconut slivers on the side. They flambeed it with a torch when you go and get it. It also had a cute mini clothes pin with baby's breath attached to it. We also got an almond croissant that had a wetter custard inside as well as a pain au chocolat. Both were delicious. They had lots of hanging plants from their barista area. The bad: The yemen drink was over $10 but it was a show and definitely artistic. I don't think there was outside seating available. I didn't care for all of the Burning Man art inside. The interesting: I found street parking one block down. They have several different locations throughout SoCal. read more

I stopped by on a Monday right before noon to get a quick bite before a day at the zoo! It was packed but that's when you know it's good right? We were able to grab a couch and coffee table and people were willing to share space! What did we order? Half a buffalo panini (if you aren't too hungry but want something savory! Not too cheesy, I just wished there was more protein!) Toasted Cheese bagel with cream cheese (for a hungry kid!) Summertime Ice Black tea with a touch of mint and blackberry - unsweetened (this was perfect for a warm day and my second cup of caffeine!) Hot take - coffee beans themselves weren't that spectacular - 6/10, comparable to a more burnt americano taste. I got the Jupiter's Forrest and the orange / sage notes weren't existent in the coffee taste itself, but the torched orange and sage made for a very aromatic smell. However, presentation 12/10. I'd declare this place my new favorite coffee place, but sadly, I'm not a local!! I truly love their coffee and food. It's absolutely delicious. We had stopped by on our way home from Solvang. I ordered the sugarwood which they lit with a little flame to get the smokey smell of the rosemary and wood chips. My fiancé had the burnout which had the wonderful aromas of ginger. I never trust a place who can't make a good caramel or vanilla coffee because they're the most basic coffees but these were amazing 10/10 for size and price of coffee . For the paninis they' were very good hot and fresh perfect crunch and was hesitant on the broccolini on the sandwich but my goodness it made it so good and gave it texture! The portions were not too bad ! 8/10 . Service i would give like a 7/10 it wasn't bad but wasn't good either guy got to the point helped us out just not so inviting but he did help greeted us and was polite just very monotone. The Bella Rose had a subtle herbal flavor with a touch of astringency; to me, it tasted more like a smoothie, which was unexpected but pleasant. I liked the drink, but I've had better matcha before. Also I thought the price range for these drinks were a bit too much in comparison to the taste of the drinks. They make all their syrups in-house, which is a great touch. I also appreciate that they promote sustainability by offering a 10% discount when you bring your own cup. The cafe itself is spacious, with plenty of seating including chairs, work tables, and cozy sofas in the back. There's free Wi-Fi, making it a nice spot to work or study. The ambiance is very chic with a stylish mix of wooden interiors and metal chairs. There's also a bar area where you can sit and watch the drinks being made. It gets pretty packed--especially on weekends, which is when I visited--so keep that in mind. Parking is street-only, with both 15-minute and 90-minute parallel parking zones available. This place is so adorable, and located in the funk zone which is a hip neighborhood of Santa Barbara filled with restaurants, shops, coffee shops, wineries and breweries! I ordered an iced vanilla latte, and I have to say, it was one of the best I've ever had! The flavor was perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of sweetness. My friend and I also shared the buffalo panini, which was absolutely delicious--perfectly toasted with a satisfying mix of flavors. When we came across this spot on Yelp I first thought the ingredients for their signatures were kinda odd.. but we still wanted to give it a try, and I'm so glad we did because they did not disappoint! You can't get it to go. ROSEMARY THAI TEA is the most creative way I've tasted this drink served. We also ordered a LATTE, but I was busy enjoying my drink and had no interest in splitting so I couldn't comment. He seemed to have enjoyed his drink though. There was no line to order.
