    Blue Crab

My friends and I really wanted a family style seafood meal and stumbled upon this establishment. We came here for an early dinner on a Saturday night. The seafood prices in this economy are pretty high so of course everything is marked up. I ended up ordering crawfish and blue crab with cajju seasoning, which was the right amount of spicy and sweet. That paired with some white rice hit the spot. Our group basically ordered every possible type of dish on the menu and everyone was very satisfied with what they ordered. The service was top notch. Our server went above and beyond to answer our questions and make sure we were having an enjoyable experience. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant when I return to Houston.

I visited due to the high suggestions of some Facebook members in the Facebook food group. The hype was so real. The food and flavor is good. The service was amazing! The owner was very attentive. He talked to us and was super kind! Staff also checked on us multiple times. Crabs 5/5 Both were well seasoned. The seasoning reached the inside of the meat. My hubby was so happy he didn't even need to really dip in his side sauce. They were tasty and soft. Some places can really overcook and dry out the crabs, this place doesn't. Grilled oysters 4/5 I really like how saucy these were. Not basic at all. It's like a sweet savory sauce. Just my personal preference, I'm more on the salty side. I definitely recommend though! Well cooked. Mini eggrolls 5/5 I love these things!! Great for kids and my favorite type of wrappings. Fries 4/5 Fries are fries. Usually always okay to me. Can't really go wrong. Great for kids. Fried pickles 5/5 My hubby really liked the breading on these.

ROY was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! He was so great that I felt like I was in a five star restaurant. The main thing was he treated us like royalty. He also anticipated my needs. Our drinks were never empty. It was the simple things and he made us feel like family. Appetizers- oysters, sausage, eggrolls The chef decided to surprise us and make mini eggrolls with sweet sauce and it was amazing. The oysters were okay but relatively small which is not on the restaurant because they don't choose the oysters and you don't know until they are opened. Dinner- crawfish, snow crabs, shrimp pasta, vermichilli bowl. Crawfish were not as tasty but we all know the season is ending Snow crabs amazing, Cajuu sauce with medium spicy level, it was flavorable with fresh garlic in a butter seasoned sauce The shrimp pasta had a homemade sauce that was tasty but needed a more cream base flavor to add richness. The chicken vermicelli with added shrimp was tasty and filling. I enjoyed my first experienceCajun SeafoodEgg RollsVermicelli BowlA

Still so good. No wait on a Sun night for a table of 5 at the start of crawfish season. 9.99/lb and after 5 lb you get 1 lb free. A little pricey but def worth it. Their Viet Cajun flavor at a medium spice level was perfect for us. Service was excellent and restaurant is nice and well appointed. Their grilled oysters chef's way were also 11/10. Will def be back during prime crawfish season.

I got to see the owners during my visit and they were super nice! The service was good and we ended up ordering a few lbs of cajun flavored crawfish as well as some oysters. I would say that if you prefer spicy food to go for the spiciest option for crawfish for extra flavor. The ambiance was nice, since it wasn't too crowded and was very family friendly! The one thing I would suggest is a drink menu but overall I would recommend going here!

    Crawfish

OMG, I'm impressed by the crawfish! I ordered the medium spicy crawfish with the Vietnamese Cajun sauce. It is so fresh, and tastes so good! I am kinda picky on seafood, this place perfect match my preference. The crawfish is full of flavors but not too much spice and salt, it keeps its slight sweet taste which is totally from the crawfish itself, not sweetness ( I can tell, because the fake sweetness usually stay on your tongue for long time and feel sick after eat it). The crawfish is so big, the one in the picture is larger than my hand! Do recommend this place and will visit again!

Had to scratch a crawfish itch and saw raving reviews for this place. Price for live crawfish here is a little pricey at $10.89 per lb but the flavors are delicious. They have both live and frozen crawfish here. We visited on Friday night so they also had a special for snow crab for $8.99 for two clusters. We tried the house special and Vietnamese Cajun. I love both flavors and would say the main difference is Vietnamese Cajun is more garlic and house special is more citrus. The crawfish itself is soaked but maybe for a little too long as some of the tails were a bit mushy. Fried pickles were delicious and very crisps which we loved. Staff was very attentive and on point. Very spacious on the inside and not too noisy. They are also BYOB! Will definitely be returning once crawfish season is really going because their seafood sauce is spectacular! Check them out.

Cajun fries... look like plain fries. Didn't even taste like they had salt.

On paper the menu looks great, but unfortunately it was far from great. We were expecting The Boiling Crab type of meal and were VERY disappointed. For starters the "Cajun" seasoning shouldn't even be considered seasoning. Everything we ordered was so lightly seasoned you could not even taste it. We ordered 3 boil bags (crawfish, shrimp, corn and potatoes) everything tasted like it was straight microwaved to order. We asked for Viet Cajun Spicy level of seasoning and got virtually no seasoning what's so ever. Cajun fries were just lightly dusted with seasoning as well. This placed missed the mark on so many levels. Definitely will not be back.

Great service. Very fresh oysters and the boiled combo was spicy and delicious. My wife and I got the double combo and were stuffed. Being that it's early in crawfish season the crawfish weren't fresh (frozen) but still had good flavor. Our waiter was very honest about that up front which is very much appreciated. We will be back try more of what's on the menu.

Hands down the BEST crawfish in the Katy, TX area. I had the "house special" sauce and it was just the right amount of spice with great flavor. The size was medium to large and if you buy 5lbs you get 1 free. We also tried the beignets & gumbo which were amazing. I'll definitely be back SOON for more crawfish and to try the other menu items. They should add other hot sauce options like (Louisiana, Crystal or Cholula) and please get some mustard. A for sure MUST have if you eat crawfish. The service could've been better we kept having to ask for refills and it wasn't overly crowded. The food came out fast and the order was correct. The ambiance was very nice, small & quant with a glass kitchen for added viewing for those who like to see their food prepped.

Bo Ne - Vietnamese steak and eggs w/ Pate and french bread

Fire! This place is really good and not just for Katy, but for anywhere in the Greater Houston area. I haven't had the chance to try everything on the menu yet but from what I have tried, it was very good. One special item that they have on the menu is the Wagyu Bo Ne. It is a Vietnamese version of Steak and Eggs with onions, paired with a buttery French Baguette and Pate/Banh Mi Butter. I've already had it twice here and it was really good both times. Now I dont have to drive all the way to Chinatown to get it on the weekends anymore and it is actually better than most of them anyhow. Nice clean spacious place, the service is good, and the location is perfect for me. I will definitely be back to try more of the items on the menu

Finally had a chance to try Cajju after seeing posts on IG and checking out Yelp. Food was excellent. We we tried the raw oysters, they tasted extremely fresh and were a good size. The whole fried tilapia was moist and had great flavor. The tamarind crab was really good and priced great for the amount. Also started with fried pickles. Service was outstanding. The we ordered onion rings with our fish. When it came to the table they let us know they caught their mistake and said the rings will be out. That's how it's done! Cajju is located in the space previously occupied by Hurts Donuts. There is an open kitchen. It's pretty cool to see the busy kitchen action. We will definitely be coming back. Lots of menu left to try.

This place delivered where it mattered most, especially with the highly reviewed appetizers. Probably one of my favorite drinks here was the Thai Green Tea. It has a really interesting flavor that stands out from regular Thai Tea -- more earthy, but not quite like matcha (we guessed there might be pandan in it). Just a heads up: it's definitely on the sweeter side. My partner and I actually let the ice melt a bit before continuing to drink it, which helped balance things out. I came back a second time and still loved it just as much. The dipping sauce felt like a truly authentic representation of Vietnamese cuisine. It was a lightly diluted fish sauce with spicy red pepper and plenty of garlic -- simple but really flavorful. I also appreciated that the table setup let you customize it to your taste. In my first experience here, we ordered the Bánh Xèo, Bánh Khọt, and Bánh Bột Chiên. I was hands down a huge fan of the ginormous Bánh Xèo -- crispy, flavorful, and just overall my favorite (though I'll admit I'm a little biased toward it already). Meanwhile, my boyfriend completely fell in love with the crunchy Bánh Khọt. That said, I did notice a slight graininess in the Bánh Khọt, which took away a few points for me. The Bánh Bột Chiên was solid and got a pass from us, but it wasn't our top pick -- mostly because we've had better versions elsewhere. Other worthy notes: the herbs were fresh and crisp, and the pickled vegetables were refreshing as well (though my boyfriend thought they could've been a bit more strongly pickled). Eating everything the traditional way -- wrapping it in lettuce with herbs -- made the whole experience even better. Honestly, I would come back just to order two Bánh Xèo. I actually came back a second time before posting this review, this time with my family. We ordered the Bắp Xào, Cơm Chiên Bò Lúc Lắc, and a simple rice dish. This visit was a bit different -- across the board, we all agreed the dishes leaned too salty this time around. I could also tell the staff was overwhelmed, with only two people handling both the front and the kitchen, so it was tough to get their attention at times. That said, the Bánh Xèo still held its ground. My parents were genuinely impressed by the size, and for me, it's still an absolute banger -- something I'd come back for again and again purely for flavor and value. The Bắp Xào really stood out to me in a nostalgic way. I loved the use of traditional Vietnamese corn, and the sautéed dried shrimp brought back memories of flavors from dishes I grew up eating, even if I couldn't quite pinpoint which one. While my mom thought it was too salty, I actually felt like it would pair perfectly with a bowl of plain white rice. I also tried some of my brother's Cơm Chiên Bò Lúc Lắc and found the beef to be tender and flavorful, though not particularly standout compared to other places. I've had very similar versions nearby, but it's still my brother's go-to -- though I suspect that might also be his way of loading up on protein. Overall, even with the inconsistency during the second visit, I still really enjoy Yummy Quan -- especially for the appetizers. It's a place I'd bring family and friends to try, and I'm still curious about more of the menu... but realistically, I could live life on Bánh Xèo alone. At the end, you also get to grab some guava candy, and for anyone who's never had these, don't forget to pick some up -- they're simply delectable!

We let the ice melt a bit and it made for a great palatte cleanser. Banh Xeo (4.5/5): Definitely one of their signature dishes. I read the reviews on how large it was and it was still shocking! See my hand for reference. It's crispy and delicious. Two downsides: Not enough protein, and not enough lettuce to make wraps with how big it is. But overall, definitely one of the best I've had outside of homemade. Banh Khot (4/5): These little flavor explosions are a perfect bite size and are also a signature dish. Would definitely recommend. A few of ours were light on the pork. Banh Bot Chien (3.5/5): I was dying to try this since there is really one famous spot for it. Their version is very good, but misses on the crispiness. The inside texture and pairing sauces and radish were all very good, it just needed a little more crisp. I love that they give extra garlic and spice and basically let you customize the intensity of your fish sauce to your preference. Paid with no issues via inKind at the counter. We definitely left stuffed and would come back!

It reminds me of Vietnam every time I have it. My mom said it still isn't quite as good as the fresh sugarcane juice back in Vietnam, but both my brother and I love it. It's probably about as close as we'll get with the importing. Bún Bò Huế - My mom and I both agreed that the broth wasn't as rich as we'd like, and I don't think it's their highlight dish. That said, it was still a delicious and filling meal. Served with the traditional red cabbage. Phở Đặc Biệt - Still one of my favorite pho places because of their light broth. I've had it multiple times and have always enjoyed it, but today was definitely soup-energy. Bún Thịt Nướng - I didn't have this one, but the person who ordered it said they enjoyed it! Overall, this place continues to be one of my family's reliable Vietnamese spots. The meat in both broth dishes was especially good this visit, and despite us coming so close to closing, they never made us feel rushed. We'll definitely keep coming back.

At first it was just us and one other table, but not long after, more people started coming in, probably for lunch as well. The restaurant is pretty large, with both tables and booths, plus a big table for large groups. This is what we ordered: Combo Rolls This comes as a sampler with five different types of spring rolls. Regular spring rolls, nem nuong rolls (fermented grilled pork), grilled chicken, grilled pork, and shrimp only. I really liked this idea because it lets you try everything without having to order each roll separately. My favorite was the nem nuong roll. Bun Bo Hue I do not eat pork blood or pork loaf, so I substituted them with more tendon and beef meatballs. Because of that, I cannot really comment on how the pork tasted. The broth was okay but a little lacking in flavor. After I asked for shrimp paste, it tasted much better. Bo Kho (Beef Stew) This is my husband favorite dish, so he always orders it whenever a place has it. He ordered the one come with bread as dipping. He did not really like this one. It was not bad, but not great either. The flavor was missing, and the broth was more watered down than how he prefers it. Still, it is worth trying if you like beef stew. Overall, our experience was just okay. The service was fine, but the food did not leave a strong impression on us. We did not stay long since my husband had to get back to work. I would come back to try more dishes, especially pho. Since their name is Pho Guru, I feel like the pho might be better.
