I ordered the 8-piece shrimp with garlic noodles, and my boyfriend ordered the chicken strip tenders with fries. Its a place to try. The food was a mix of good and bad. My shrimp and garlic noodles tasted good, and my boyfriend enjoyed his meal. However, the breadsticks were very bland and lacked flavor. The service was the biggest disappointment. Our server made a couple of mistakes with our order which is fine but then seemed to blame us instead of taking responsibility, which made the experience frustrating. I really love this place. I've tried several spots around the Central Valley and this place so far is the best one. I also used to live in New Orleans for 3 years so I know a good seafood boil. My favorite is the house special spicy ! You can't go wrong with that combo. The food comes out quick and I've always had great service. If you come to Cajun Crack'n, be prepared to get messy. Like, fingers-slick-with-garlic-butter, sauce-on-your-face messy. They do provide gloves if you want them--but honestly, leaning into the chaos is part of the fun. We ordered the middle-size boil with snow crab legs, a pound of crawfish, corn, and potatoes, tossed in mild spice with garlic butter, and it was so good. They bring it in a large plastic bag drenched in sauce and you dig it out and put the shells in a mini-trash can they provide you. The crawfish can be a little tricky at first, but they give you these tiny scissors, and once you get the hang of it, it's actually pretty easy (and weirdly satisfying). This is not a first-date restaurant unless you're trying to test boundaries immediately. Sauce gets everywhere. Everywhere. I went with my family, and it was perfect for that--fun, loud, and zero pressure to be polite. We brought our kids too. There's no official kids' menu, but they do have six-piece BBQ wings and edamame, which you can order Cajun-style or sea salt. I went with sea salt since my son doesn't like spice, and it was a win. The service was great, the ambiance was fun, and bonus points: the margaritas are BIG--like actual drinking-glass sized--and totally worth the price. "Brittany," the Asian woman who claimed to be the manager, refused to allow my family of 10 to sit together despite there being more than enough available seating in a restaurant that was nearly half empty. Her attitude was dismissive, cold, and incredibly unprofessional. When we politely asked for an explanation, she simply walked away mid-conversation instead of addressing the situation with basic courtesy or respect. It was clear that customer experience was the least of her concerns. We chose to take our business elsewhere, where we were actually welcomed and treated with professionalism and ended up having an amazing time. I'm sad to say as a long-time customer, I'm talking about since this establishment opened, has dramatically dropped the quality of its food. The quality mostly impacts the way the sauce is made. What used to be a burst in flavor that stuck to everything is now reduced to an oily separating mess that does not add any flavor. This is a cool place that I will most likely revisit. I was very disappointed to find out no King Crab it was the only reason for my visit. No signs when you come they are out of menu items. They wait until you are invested with drinks to let you know what they are out of. Was stuck with snow crab with 1/4 of it cracking empty legs with no meat. It's why I wanted king crab.
