The missus was impressed with the added richness of the broth flavor, and as you can see the Cajun seafood boil platter was destroyed as it was delicious. I haven't had this for years and have been craving this Cajun seafood meal so while I'm not sure how much sausage and corn was supposed to come with, I kind of wish I had a little more of both (two pieces of corn, and about 6 slices of small pieces of sausage)... nevertheless, all of it was delicious. Some may think this is a little hole in the wall place cus the area isn't all that great. Could be bums around and people on drugs but other then that, inside is a treasure hole of delicious authentic Asian goodness. I've tried their seafood boil farmers style and the sauce is on point yall. I love the green onions in it, the spice was just right. The shrimp head on was big, juicy and plump. The crab was meaty and the mussels was a good size. The kao poun nam pa was good but I wasn't a fan of the salt and pepper calamari. Very mid. I've had their Thai pho before too and I actually really like it. It was my first time trying it. I think they said it was a mixture of pho and Thai boat??? I could be wrong so don't quote me on that. Jsut gon ask them. The service was good. She was patient when we ordered and she even chatted with my gramma for a bit. It used to be so good but every time we went, the quality just keeps going down. It went down hill pretty quick , especially moments before they move location even tho it's in the same plaza. We decided to get some and OMG! The worse experience ever. We used to ask for it super spicy, the spicier the better, especially with what's noted on their menu and the guy(literally, the only person running the place) told us he only used one spoon when we asked for pepper because "other customers complained about it being spicy." I did not taste any ounce of spice. He then go on to complain that "you guys shouldn't be eating spicy and it's not good for you." Like okay? I would rate these two at about 6.5 to 7 the spring egg rolls maybe six service was excellent, but the food is not worth the trip would I come back no and the reason there was hardly any meat in the beef pho and same for the Thai boat portions are not very big read more

Growing up in LA area and just in town to visit, my husband and I decided to try this place. I must say I have yet to come across a restaurant that serves such authentic Laos food the way Lotus Kitchen does. We had the beef larb, which was amazing. The meat was tender and flavorful. The herbs mixed in were not only fresh but different compared to what is served in LA area. I loved it. My husband had the Lotus Family Special, the Royal, and nothing was left. He even took home the sauce. Mind you, he's a Boiling Crab fanatic. We got to try the Nam Tok. It's not the same flavor or texture as bo luc lac but very similar only more crispy outside and soft and juicy inside, I recommend trying it. Fast service and good menu choices! We tried this restaurant as we stopped over on our way to Yosemite. Overall, we were very happy with this restaurant. Located about 5 minutes from Highway 41 in Fresno, this restaurant offers a wide variety of Asian food such as pho, Vietnamese sandwich, stir fried noodles and even cajun seafood dishes. I ordered the 1 pound cajun shrimp and the dish was delicious. Service was extremely fast and our food was ready in around 5 minutes. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive as well. COVID-19 Phase: I called in and ordered their Thai boat noodle soup and spring rolls. At first I wanted the Thai noodle soup, but I wanted chicken and the worker said it only comes with pork. I do not care for pork, but luckily the worker said they have a chicken noodle soup so that one won! Chicken couldn't be put in instead of pork. That's what the worker told me. I also asked if shrimp could be added and that wasn't a problem. Just an extra charge. Perfect for this rainy weather! The worker said it would be ready shortly! I went to get it! The restaurant is clean and my order was ready when I arrived. The worker was okay. Not real welcoming. I checked out on the new register aka iPad and you can include the tip on there. I was happy with the way the worker packed it up. It could have been a total mess, but luckily it was only a small mess! The container that the soup was in split and went out everywhere! Total mess, but that worker packaged it in another bag so it went in there and not everywhere! You'll see in the pics. Still messy, but could've been worse! The chicken noodle soup was good! Thick, scrumptious noodles with shredded chicken! Spicy hot oil was provided and that made it better! Adding a little spice always makes it better! It was also seasoned and worked well on this rainy day! I paid extra for shrimp to be added on it and I only found 2 little shrimps in it. Lol! Not worth the extra charge. I come here a few times every year and am usually pretty satisfied with my food but it's out of the way for me so I don't come often. It's not in the best part of town but I think that adds to the charm. I love hole in the wall places and I'm always rooting for places like this. I've had papaya salad, chicken wings, Tom yum, Khao poon nam pa, and Thai boat from here and they've all been tasty and filling. Everything was flavorful and very rich. My reason for giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is I wish their Thai boat included Chinese broccoli or some other type of green veggie like it normally would and their portions for for papaya salad and chicken wings were small for the price. Thought I give this place a try. It definitely got a makeover from the inside from its last owner. Looks nice and clean inside. Menu was nice simple and organized. One page front and back. Price was typical average rage. Weather was good for a bowl of pho and my favorite calamari. Unfortunately food wasn't to my liking. The pho noodle was a little like chalky mush taste which is pretty much like old noodles. The beef broth was ok with a little side ingredients added in. Calamari was bland with a chalky batter taste to it. Looks like MSG seasoning on it. Portion was small for the price. Overall for the two dishes I paid a little too much for what it's worth. This is now my go to Lao food. So far I got tried their thai boat, beef noodles, beef laab, papaya salad and chicken khaopoon. All dishes was delicious however I wish they would provide more chicken with their khaopoon and also add more condiments like mint, cilantro and green onions when getting it as takeout. People were raving about the Thai boat noodle here so I thought I'd give it a try. The seafood platter was not worth $65 but I guess they justified decent enough because they had king crab in it but the portion was small. The Cajun flavor did not come through at all.
