I stumbled across this bakery after a quick bite in the same shopping strip of stores. The store is rather large for a bakery, although indoor seating had been removed I thought social distancing could safely occur if someone wanted to eat dessert inside. I was greeted immediately and offered assistance by at least three individuals. Since this was my first time in the store it took me awhile to scan the options. I landed on 6 cupcakes to share with my family. Once home, my stash had diminished to one option (sister and kids) so I only sampled the cookies and cream. The cupcake was fresh and I really enjoyed the icing. The center was a little too gooey for me. It was like a pudding interior. I'm standing right there. Not another soul in the shop. And she tells me to go to the website. That's it. Nothing else. I bought a few cupcakes and left. Won't be back. Best cupcakes ever. Rich, yet light. Aesthetically pleasing, as each cupcake is a work of art. I tend to be frugal, but I do not mind treating myself to Cake because it is worth it. The cupcakes are a great alternative to a standard cake when you are trying to please a crowd that has various flavor preferences. I brought a dozen to a farewell party and they were a complete hit! The flavors and textures are unique. Also, for every single holiday, they have special cupcakes in celebratory colors to appropriately commemorate each occasion. So far, my all-time favorite cupcake is coconut with a graham cracker crust. It's exciting to not know which flavors they will have on offer. I enjoy being surprised and trying them all! The cupcakes freeze well. However, I think the cupcakes taste best when they are fresh. I prefer to eat them immediately and for breakfast the next day. Ordered a birthday neopolitan cake for my daughter for her 16th birthday. She chose neopolitan - my least favorite ice cream, but I was so pleasantly surprised by the cake. I loved it - and I normally don't like chocolate cake. It was very easy to order and pick up, and they had a banner noting my daughter's name and birthday. It looked amazing. Jason and his team are absolutely phenomenal with making the best cakes that exceed your expectations and bring a smile to everyone's faces. I've ordered three cakes now and I'll be back for more! 1.) The first was our wedding cake, which we hardly got to experience until a year later - we froze it and enjoyed it on our one year anniversary. It tasted absolutely amazing! Each layer was a different flavor and they made it look just as beautiful as the stock image I sent them :) 2.) I got a little more complicated and wanted something to make my husband's birthday beyond special and memorable. An Old School RuneScape (mmorpg video game) themed cake, even featuring his in-game username and stats. Even more, it looks just like the in-game cake even when sliced into, the layers match perfectly. Originally I went to a local bakery but they said they couldn't recreate it because they don't "sculpt" cakes, and they couldn't add all the other fancy stuff, yet wanted more money! Meanwhile Jason was emailing me back at 2:54am making sure he had everything correct, from the MULTIPLE pictures (I flooded him honestly) that I sent to try and get it perfect. He was super creative and optimistic about getting the flavors perfect and unique, too. From the taste to presentation, he made sure it was up to my standards and stayed in a very realistic budget, I was honestly expecting to pay a lot more. It was just as delicious as I had remembered my wedding cake being! 3.) My mother in law got married very last minute and I wanted her to have a special cake, too, I mean - why get flowers when you can get a cake, right? I ordered her the vanilla chocolate signature cake since it was a ready to order cake that could be made within 2 business days. I got the 6 inch one and it was very beautiful and just the right size. It looked just like the picture online, it had gorgeous roses all over the sides (each color was a different flavor chocolate icing) and you could even customize a message on top of the cake 50 characters or less, and it had gold flakes which gave it a very elegant feel within our budgets. Sadly I didn't get a picture because we ate it too fast! All in all, if you're looking for a one-of-a-kind cake with consistently exceptional quality, Cake by Jason is your place! Him and his team will never let you down. They even sell plenty of candles and cute pop out cards for you in the cafe. They have coffee if you want something while doing a cake tasting for a wedding, and all around everyone is so helpful every time. An employee even helped me bring the birthday cake to my car so I wouldn't drop it. They truly care. The cake itself of course is delicious. It's not as sweet as some other places, which can either be a good or bad thing depending who is eating it, but it's very light and elegant feeling. Even the icing itself is very buttery and fluffy. I love it! I would give more than 5 stars if I could. I drive close to an hour to get my cakes from them and I'll keep driving there. First of all, I have not ordered a customized cake, but from what I can see they appear to be beautiful. But I just discovered something called Cake in a Jar that they offer, and that is it a scrumptious piece of cake in a jar. I had a lemon one which was a cross between a lemon pie and cake, light and lemony. And I had a chocolate chip cookie dough which had a cake mousse consistency, so tasty. Really unimpressed and disappointed. My mom told the employees that she liked a lot of dimension and that my dads a big ravens fan but didn't want a super tacky ravens cake. Stopped by to pick up a carrot cake for my friend and loved this place. It is so nice in here and I loved seeing the cake and cupcake display. You can also see Jason working on his creations in the back. The carrot cake was so delicious and beautifully decorated. The pumpkin spice and red velvet cupcakes were delicious. You can make orders online and it's a very user-friendly website. I do wish they were open on Sundays... I tried to get a cake for my brother on a Sunday and they were closed. We had our wedding May 21st, the cupcakes from Cake by Jason were delicious and the presentation was great. With that being said their "fees" were egregious. Our wedding was on a Saturday & we needed to return the cupcake stand "within 48 hours". However they were closed on Sunday and Monday and then we were out of the country for our honeymoon by Monday AM. We ended up spending almost 1/3 additional on a fee for a stand. Would not recommend this business to anyone. $300 for a late return of a cupcake stand is rich. They did not communicate this effectively or work with us. We dealt with 15 vendors for our wedding and they were hands down the worst. read more

I went back today may 16, 2018 and had a great experience. The banana chocolate peanut butter cupcake was amazing. The ganache was thick and yummy. I also took cupcakes back to work and everyone raved about the cream cheese icing on the blackbottom and the icing on the cookie dough cupcakes. Went for the soft opening earlier this week. The new space is really nice. I was excited to see what items they had. For the soft opening there were cupcakes and donuts. All of the cupcakes looked beautiful. I liked the garnishes in them. This bakery's name came up several times. My company and decided to go try them. When we first walked in we were ignored, so we browsed a little until this little old lady finally addressed us. We told her we were looking for cupcakes. She replied, it was too late to order fresh baked cupcakes, and told us the time frame for ordering. I asked if the ones in the showcase were for sale, she said yes and quoted a ridiculous price. We chose to buy six, and boy were we disappointed. We also bought a cake in a jar. Who would have thought a little old lady could not be trusted. The little old lady did not tell us that the cupcakes were old, stale, and disgusting. The cake in the jar was too sweet to eat. WHAT a WASTE of money. Little old lady, you should be ashamed of yourself. We are supposed to b a good example for our youth.
