Yesterday, I placed an order for pickup after 3:00 p.m., and it was confirmed. When I arrived today, my order didn't exist. Instead of apologizing, the manager claimed it wasn't made because I "didn't prepay"--even though no one asked me to prepay when I placed the order. Then they asked me to prove I had called by showing my phone log. I'm not upset that a mistake happened. I'm upset by the complete lack of accountability and poor customer service. Own the mistake, apologize, and make it right instead of blaming a loyal customer. Customers have plenty of options in Las Vegas, and experiences like this are exactly why people take their business elsewhere.

I was able to get 14 generous slices (not those baby slices they serve you at a wedding) with two slices left over. Our guests devoured their slice, frosting and all, even after a heavy Italian dinner. As a matter of fact I had to hide the two leftover slices so that me and my husband could enjoy them ourselves the next day. Every single one of our guests complimented on the cake.

I didn't receive a response until the end of day on Tuesday. I also called her bakery multiple times and had no answer or response-- for 4 days! By that point, I already found another bakery to handle the cake, but had I waited, I would have been left in a very bad position. As a fellow business owner, I don't say this lightly ~ the level of communication here is pretty unacceptable. It takes legit, less than a minute to acknowledge an inquiry and set expectations. A simple "I'm totally booked out" or "I'll follow up" would have demonstrated basic professionalism and respect for a potential client's time and energy. When someone goes out of their way to find your business, fill out your form, and actively try to give you money ~ silence and negligence send a very clear message about how that effort is valued. You haven't earned a client here-- and maybe that doesn't matter to you, but word of mouth is the best form of advertisement, and that matters. My response to Christy's response: It takes less than a minute to fire off an email, or simply answer your phone. There's no such thing as "Easter Monday"-- it's just Monday. When someone reaches out with a clear deadline, a quick acknowledgment isn't optional-- it's expected. Even a one-line response would have been enough for me to plan accordingly.

The customer service was basically nonexistent. A simple "Good morning, how can I help you?" would have made a huge difference. I ordered the 35-piece box and paid for my items. When the tip option came up, I chose not to tip because I'm honestly tired of feeling expected to tip when the service doesn't warrant it. After I paid, he just turned around and walked into the back without saying, "I'll be right back," or anything at all. He eventually came back out, handed me the box, and said, "Have a good day." I definitely prefer the other location. At least there, the employees smile, greet you, and make you feel acknowledged as a customer. This location is extremely close to my house, which is why I wanted to give it a try, but I would honestly rather drive 20 minutes away for better service. I'm not sure I'll be returning to this location.
