I was in such excitement when I got the cake, but it turned into a nightmare when I try it. So, so bad. It ruined the end of my wedding lunch. The almond taste was completely unbalanced, parts of the cake inside was dry, the chocolate ganache was so so thick and ultra sweet that was revolting and the butter cream as well. Absolutely a bad decision on my part to rely only on reviews for this. $130 down the drain. Yuck!

I finally found the very best Cake and cupcake business in Vegas! They are always SO accommodating to whatever needs I have, and literally blow me away with the designs they come up with. Exceeds my expectations every time. The best part is the flavor. I am very picky about my desserts. And they are absolutely delicious! I won't be going anywhere else. They are all very kind, patient, and personable. It's a mom and daughter who run the business, and I love that. I will recommend to all my friends in Vegas.

Dawn and Kelly were absolutely fantastic to deal with- their customer service was amazing, and they went above and beyond to make my birthday perfect by accommodating my requests! The cake was absolutely delicious! I even flew it back home from Las Vegas to Canada, and after a week, it was still moist and amazing- everybody loved it, and the picture I sent them of how I wanted it decorated was flawless! I highly recommend them!!

Kim and Dawn are amazing! When I first visited, Kim went over the design I had in mind by drawing a sketch and throwing ideas of what she would do, etc. It was a sense of relief knowing the ideas she wanted to implement to make this spectacular. I was very pleased to see the finished product. Not to mention a marble cake cake with oreo filling. Wow, that combination worked better than I imagined. Prices are reasonable as they are just what I pictured they'd be. And the work they put towards the cake, I can't wait to see what else they can do. There are varieties of cake flavors and fillings that allow you to put together a delicious cake. Just the thought of what works with what makes me want to eat sample cakes. But the fact that both Kim and Dawn has made this day a memorable one made it all worth it. I will definitely be back for future orders! Thank you!

First time I have ever ordered a custom made cake. So glad I found Cake Designs to do a cake for my birthday celebration. I had some ideas and called Kim, she helped me with what would work best. I had around 50 guests and wanted a cake to be special, delicious and unique for this special occasion. The design was amazing, everyone commented on how beautiful the cake was. And once we cut it and served it up the cake tasted amazing. The chocolate cake was so moist and tasty. The Bavarian cream filling was just perfect. I will definitely go back to Cake Designs for my next cake. Everyone wanted to know who made this cake and where I got it. It was a big hit for this birthday event. Thank you!

Cake Designs did it again! When my son and (then) fiancé told me they were getting married in Vegas, I knew exactly where to order their wedding cake (I ordered from here once before in 2018 for a friend's anniversary party). They once again created a delicious and beautiful cake exactly how we wanted it for our son's small (9 people) wedding on 5/15/21. Ordering was easy (we live in CA) and they were very helpful with suggestions on flavors and decorating styles. They were able to meet all our special requests and we all loved how it turned out. AND it was so delicious! We ordered buttercream frosting, with a tier of chocolate cake with banana filling and second tier with lemon cake with blueberry filling. I will continue to order from Cake Designs for our special occasions when visiting Vegas! Thank you so much Cake Designs! We all LOVED the cake!

Appetizer: The address on their order/invoice is completely wrong. I spent way too much time going to the address listed on the slip, just to find that they're not at that location. Meat: I did not receive what I expected at all. The applique of the logo is wavy, and the "Packers" stenciling in each end zone is so unclean I wanted to throw up. I tried to explain that this was not what I expected and what I did expect, but nothing could be done to make this look somewhat decent. Seriously, the endzones are so dirty, it looks like a child is just learning how to do cakes. Ridiculous and gross. I had to take the day off work because their hours make it so impossible to pick up orders before or after work. In short, I paid $80 for a goose chase and a shit cake that I'm too embarrassed to present to my boyfriend. I really hate that I had to pay that much for a poorly designed cake but it was either take the refund or take this shit cake you already told your boyfriend was not only late but would be waiting for him when he also gets off work. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Plenty of better cake designers who will actually give you what you paid for.

I had Dawn help me design a cake for my son's 4th birthday. She gave me suggestions as to what flavors and filling/icing would be best together. I told her that the flavor and taste was much more important to me then the appearance and I would be easy to please. Dawn knocked it out of the park with both taste and look. The cake was even more beautiful then what we expected from the concept she gave me. There were so many little details added to this masterpiece, it was difficult for me to cut and serve such a beautiful piece of art. This bakery is family owned and ran, professional, clean, and I would emphatically recommend this business to anyone needing an awesome cake. Dawn was such a sweetheart and really took her time talking with me and explaining her ideas. Thank you for such a great experience! I will definitely be coming back for all our kids birthday cakes from now on

I was able to order my wedding cake through Dawn a couple of weeks before my wedding. She was able to answer all my questions via email since I live in Washington. She made the process so easy, even though I was worried about taste and design since I wasn't in the same state. My worries were unfounded! My husband was able to pick up the cakes the morning of our wedding (they also offer delivery). The design was perfect, and the cakes we ordered were delicious. In addition, this company was much cheaper than some other companies we were researching. If I ever need to order anything I'm the future (if I'm in the Vegas area), I will definitely use Cake Designs. Thank you so much! read more

Amazing! Ordered cake for my daughter's wedding with only one weeks notice. Dawn went above & beyond to make it happen. She called me after closing hours on a Saturday. Unheard of these days. She was extremely patient and professional. She put my mind at ease, answered all my questions, and let me draw on her experiences. Then we tasted the cake.... amazing! We wished we would have ordered a bigger cake to have more leftovers that's how good it was! read more

This year was my daughters 6th Birthday. We have used them almost EVERY year (one year I messed up on the dates). They make gorgeous looking a delicious tasting cakes. I don't know what else I can say. Dawn is amazing, she remembers her customers and is more than helpful and patient. I wish I could give this place a -50 stars. Granted this dates back to 2006, but the event was a very big day for me, as it was our wedding day. Cake is one of my favorite foods in the entire world and I knew this cake had to be perfect, it was my wedding day after all! My husband and I tried cakes from all over and we found the perfect cake at a French bakery, but the price was way out of our range. (If I knew what I know now, I would have splurged!) Cake Designs by Ruth was recommended to me by a coworker that was married a few years before. We met with Ruth and I had her make a small cake that I could take home and share with some family to see what people thought. It was a white cake, with fresh strawberries inside and white buttercream on the outside. The cake was delicious (there were 6 of us that tried it... all family) and the price was right, so I called Ruth and placed the order. I was so excited! But when I showed up to my reception, the cake wasn't there. I got on the phone and Ruth said the cake should be there any minute. (I had set a time before the wedding for the cake to be there probably 2 hours before our arrival). The cake came, the guy set it up and the cake was LEANING like the freakin TOWER OF PISA! Everyone just stared at it. Such an eyesore. When we cut into the cake, it had a weird taste. It turns out they separated the layers with CARDBOARD! WTF?!?!?!?!?!? So the entire cake had a slight taste of cardboard. Disgusting. No one ate the cake and I was embarrassed. The reception place said it was extremely hard to cut the cake because of the cardboard. I went under my table at the reception, called Ruth and I left this horrendous message (I shouldn't have been saying some of those things while in my wedding dress!) I was so angry. Of course, she never returned my call. So the next day I called Ruth and she did NOT want to give me a refund after all of the things. After about an hour and a half on the phone with this horrible woman, I was finally able to get a refund. Maybe they have cleaned up their act since 2006, but I would never recommend this place to ANYONE! read more

our wedding cake was included in our wedding package through the venue. i was both relieved and concerned about not picking the bakery myself. but my concern completely dissipated as soon as we met with our cake designer. unfortunately, i can't remember her name. she was helpful, pleasant, extremely knowledgeable and full of great ideas! when we met with her she was in a chef's apron and her hands were stained from coloring. i knew right away that we were in extremely good hands! i knew i wanted cupcakes and my hubby knew he wanted red velvet, which worked out great since our wedding color palette included red. we didn't do a tasting so we just told her that we preferred fluffy, moist cake with whipped topping over dense, sugary, sweet cake with buttercream. again, i was concerned but they delivered exactly what we asked for and more. the majority of the compliments we received from our guests were about how amazing the cupcakes were. thanks goodness we ordered extra because our guests were fighting over cupcakes to take home with them. on our one year anniversary, i ordered a dozen of the same cupcakes and they were identical to the ones we had at our wedding and just as tasty. the hubby and i were so impressed that they were able to recreate our wedding cupcakes an entire year later. it brought back great memories of the best day of our lives. i also ordered a cake for my friend's bridal shower that i was hosting in los angeles. i worked with the cake designer to come up with the design and she did an amazing job. the cake flavors (lemon cake with raspberry filling) were superb and the design came out exactly the way i wanted. the best part, it survived the 4 hour drive to los angeles and the overnight stay in the fridge. cake designs is my go-to cake spot for any event. read more

I cannot recommend this place enough. I requested a quote via email for my daughters 4th birthday. They were quick to respond and their price was very reasonable. I shared pictures of what I wanted. They priced out multiple versions of my ideas and then I selected one. All was done via email or over the phone. I picked up the cake on the day of and could not believe how beautiful it was. Even more beautiful than the pictures I sent. Not only that, it was delicious!!! read more

These guys are just amazing! First they made my engagement cake and my wife loved it. They set the bar pretty high; then the made the wedding cake and destroyed the standard! Just amazing! Kim made a cake to make every guest want one for their wedding and every person to not mind getting fat. The cake was just amazing! Kim was able to find a silhouette of what I wanted for the bottom layer. I couldn't even find it even through the 10th page of Google, Kim is a super hero. Oh and not to forget anything the cake tasted amazing! You have to go here to get your cake made!! read more

Omg, this place is amazing, from my first call and told Kim what I was looking for to the piece of cake that melt in my mouth. The complete experience was outstanding. I planned my sister big 60th birthday in Las Vegas and started to look for cake, when I ran into the reviews from Cake Designs and decided to change the order that I had with a "well famous bakery" there to Cake Designs and I glad I did because they delivered what I asked for and more. And the price was very reasonable. Everybody in my family thought I paid a fortune for it, because it was classic and elegant. It was a Tiffany's theme and the cake look awesome. Thank you Kim and I'm sure the next celebration I have in Vegas, the cake will be from Cake Designs. read more

Dawn and everyone at Cake Design were total life savers for me when I needed a cake last minute due to a mishap at a different bakery. They went ABOVE and beyond my expectations and replicated a photo I gave them so perfectly, along with adding some great custom touches for me. I was so happy with the design, taste and experience! Unacceptable! Most cakes are fabulous but not ours ! Not commenting on the taste but the appearance! Left- what I got Right- what I saw on their website Look like a B grade Counterfeit product from China, jeeee those purple butterflies were like wilted leaves except they were in purple! The others I would call them fatty flies! They claimed the style was years ago, well I don't care how old is the style! I just want to get what I saw! What an excuse! If I was at the shop instead of my husband, I wouldn't accept it!! To be fair, the taste was ok for local appetite if u ever taste Asian style cake (ie those from Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong), they are unbeatable! read more

Would never go here for a cake again. I had my wedding cake done here&i wish i had chosen a different place! First they got my wedding date incorrect, even though i had repeated the date multiple times, ehich meant my wedding cake was done over a week early! Than both ladies, Dawn&her sister, argued with me about my wedding date. I'm the one who was getting married, i know the correct date. The design on the cake was gorgeous but the flowers on top were supposed to be made of fondant not fake flowers i could buy at Michaels. The cream cheese frosting around the cake was far to thick&the filling between the layers was to thin. There was so much inconsistency, it was dissappointing. Lack of customer service among other things. I would give 0 stars if i could. read more

Thank you sooooooo much to Kim at Cake Designs for coming through for me at the very last minute on a cake for my friend, who's an NFL player, and was celebrating his birthday in Las Vegas. I literally called her on Thursday afternoon and I had a custom cake ready for me on Saturday!! That looked way better than the picture I sent her. It was perfect, especially given the time frame she had to work with. If she is this good on short notice, I can only imagine what kind of cake she can create with more time. I have bought all my special occasion cakes here for many years! The customer service is always stellar. One time, I can't remember why exactly, but the owner brought the cake to my house! I Iove the cream cheese frosting and every time I get a cake from them, everyone raves about it and asks where I got it from. They are not cheap cakes, but the quality of the ingredients, deliciousness and fabulous designs are worth it!! I think they are much cheaper than Freed's and just as good! I will never buy a cake from anyone else! read more

Came here for my sons graduation cake, not only was the design right on point with all the elements I asked for but the taste was amazing! My sons only request was he wanted a simple chocolate cake with whip cream and strawberries. EVERYBODY at his graduation dinner loved the cake it was so moist and tasty. All you have to do is tell Kim your vision and she comes up with great designs. The cake is delicious and prices are very reasonable. How do I start with my experience, let's start with the cake, it was the sweetest (overly sweet) cake I have ever had in my life :( uhhhhhh I did not like it at all. we had placed an order for my son's first birthday party and I paid all in advance, I tried the cake after I paid and realized her cake was way too sweet!!! I called her to ask for money back and she mentioned IF I CANCLE MY ORDER, I WILL LOSE 50% OF MY DEPOSIT, so I had to get my cake from them:( It was very dry and very very sweet read more

My husband decided about a month before our wedding that we needed a different cake from what our venue offered. I was hesitant but am so happy we ordered from Cake Designs Las Vegas. My husband worked with Dawn, who was amazing. The customer service and quick response time was wonderful. Prices are very reasonable too. I looked for a place that had a reasonable price and was hoping it also tasted good. This place exceeded any expectations I had. Price was reasonable for a wedding cake and everyone loved the cake. I came from Bakersfield Ca and had ordered this cake over the phone. They delivered on exact time and were helpful when picking colors as I was the groom and well not very good at those things. I would highly recommend this place. If I ever need another cake in Las Vegas I will definitely order from here again. THANK YOU. read more

I picked up some of the donuts, ube tres leches, and a box of the crinkle cookies. Everything was so good! And as my in-laws say, "not too sweet!" Both items were on the sweeter side, and I usually don't like very sweet desserts, so that may just be a personal preference.

They don't close until 10pm and people were still coming in, and there were still plenty of people sitting in the restaurant, but the staff didn't let me order anything at 945pm saying that she doesn't take any more orders after 930pm. What?!?! What the hell? You're open for a whole 30 more minutes and don't want to take my money - am I hearing that right? My friend had cash on him, and he was willing to pay cash if that's less of a hassle, and still no. It's not even to-go only, it was a flat-out no, before their 10pm closing time. THAT IS CALLED CRAP SERVICE. However, the 3 stars instead of 1 or 2 stars is because one anonymous employee who witnessed that go down changed my perspective of this spot. This person asked me not to reveal their identity on my Yelp review out of fear of getting in trouble. They overheard me trying to order but got turned away, then pointed to the macaron in a box in the fridge on display right there to my friend. So as I was walking towards the bathroom, this person (different than the girl who rudely turned me away) apologized for what happened and gave me the apple cinnamon macaron as a gift. That was so sweet of them. The macaron was absolutely perfect too, it was delicious - the perfect texture of the macarons, apple filling, in the center between the cream, with the crunch from I think they were dried apple bits on the side of the cream - amazing!!! But still insanely Vegas tourist trap rip off overpriced with the macaron that person gave me worth $8.35/piece. Honey & Butter Macarons in Irvine, CA or Durian Macarons at Sweet Mood in Westminster, CA, still keep their also delicious macarons under $5 each while having cute decor/ambiance (I'll admit they're not as impressive and unique as this spot though). But they're essentially banking on tourists not knowing any better and what things should actually be worth/gouging tourists as much as they can. Essentially, you're paying for the ambiance. Definitely not paying for the crap service. Food is good, but not astronomically priced good - you're kidding yourselves. You may be able to get away with stuff like that if you're inside one of the luxurious casinos on the Strip, like Venetian, Caesars, Bellagio, etc. But especially being off-strip, get a reality check. I may come back (thanks to your anonymous employee's kind gesture giving me that macaron), but it's more just to show my parents the cool ambiance.

Despite cooling down a bit, they stayed pretty warm (I still microwaved for good measure). These cookies are incredibly gooey, not at all cakey, and just sweet enough to still be flavorful. Infinitely surpasses the quality of chains like Crumbl. Great stop in Centennial Hills amongst several businesses. Even relatively walkable for Las Vegas. Sweet find!

Yes, I think I've had enough coconut cake now in one sitting to last a lifetime. Yuzu Panna Cotta: Very unique. I haven't seen this dessert anywhere else.
