Located on North Tenaya Way in a strip mall one should not confuse Cake World with Cake World Bakery on Maryland Parkway, though each are long-established community staples they are independently operated and in no way related. Owned by a second generation baker and open at 7:00am seven days per week, Cake World occupies a small corner of the shopping plaza where the ceiling decorated in pinata feels as joyous as all the custom Cakes on display throughout the interior. Greeted by pleasant staff, prices barely changed in the past decade, Pan Dulce comes in a good variety from sprinkled Cookies to crisp Oreja and Cheese-filled Empanadas. Still not impressed by the Concha, dryer than many but perhaps a matter of personal preference, Cakes prove excellent whether one selects jiggly Flan by itself or atop a Chocolate base while Cake World's signature Tres Leches Cake exceeds expectations thanks to light Cream, Fruit and a Sponge that stands up well to the moisture.

I ordered a custom cake from Cake World. They did a nice job, especially with a one-day turnaround. It tasted good and looked cute. When I ordered my cake, I purchased a few items from the bakery section. They did not taste fresh. I don't know if it was bad timing or what. I'm willing to give them another try because the custom cake was good.

I sent them a picture of 2 cakes that I wanted to make into 1 cake. I got exactly what I wanted for my birthday and they did an excellent job. Not only was my cake beautiful it was delicious. It's a small shop but very clean and organized inside. Don't miss out because it looks small. The creativity and the taste makes is OUTSTANDING.

I have used Cake World to make several cakes for me over the years. They're family owned and ran and do a wonderful job making your designs come to life! The cakes have all been fantastic and taste as amazing as they look! They even helped me get the cake settled into my car. On the cakes I added some dolls on the LoL one and a topper and some little figurines on the Stitch cake. The cakes are definitely expensive but you get what you pay for! These were wonderful and I would highly recommend them for all your baking needs!

I absolutely love this place! OMG! The owners were amazing and so sweet, she took her time to explain the options for the cake I needed for my husband birthday and helped me place my order! I got some sweets to go and everything tasted amazing! The day I picked up the cake I was blown away again service was amazing! She even walked me outside to load the cake in the car! The cake was so amazing I had to call the owner and thank her! I literally told my husband I will always get our cakes from here!

Cute little shop that sells baked goods. We got a few things for my husband for Father's Day. Was a clean shop with good service.

Wy wife needed a cake for my granddaughters first birthday and wanted to make it VERY special. We went to every place we could think of to get a "strawberry shortcake" themed cake but no one could do it. We called Cake World and they were excited to show us what they could do. The front of the store was suspiciously clean and bright, almost to the extent that you believe that they were super sanitary. With their "A" rating, I know they are. They have large screens showing portfolios of what they've done for other clients and the cakes looked pretty cool! They do some awesome wedding cakes, custom made to your specifications. We ended up picking up our cake to save the delivery fee but we were biting our nails the whole way home. It might have been worth the fee! The cake was beautiful as you can see in the picture and my granddaughter was so excited!

I've been buying cakes from Cake World for over 10 years. Always a big favorite when I'm looking to buy a quality cake. They have baked goods as well as sliced cake. When I need something sweet and delicious I can come pick up a yummy slice of cake. My favorite combination is Marble cake. Whipped cream frosting with peach or strawberry filling.

My husband put in an order in person only a couple of days before I came home, and it was ready just in time. Cake World created just what he'd ordered, a beautiful custom design with buttercream. The coloring was just perfect. They helped him pick a flavor and size, which he chose a layered vanilla, chocolate mousse and cream. SO YUMMY! I am not much of a cake fanatic, but the creamy mousse layers really made this the best cake ever. I cannot describe enough how tasty this cake was! The workers were very helpful, quick & precise. 10/10 recommend Cake World for custom cakes!

But once you find the beautiful, ornate wooden door and step inside, you're transported into a charming little wonderland. The interior is unlike any other café in Las Vegas, with a greenhouse feel, small trees, unique décor, and plenty of cozy spaces to relax. The atmosphere is airy, whimsical, and fun. My favorite drink is the Iced Butterfly Latte, a delicious banana-flavored latte that's both unique and refreshing. I've also ordered the Berry Ricotta Brioche several times, and it's always amazing. The menu offers a great variety of pastries, sandwiches, desserts, and specialty drinks, so there's something for everyone. Pro tip: Find a table before ordering! This place gets very busy, and seating fills up quickly. If you're with friends or family, have someone save a table while the others order. Overall, Gäbi is one of my favorite cafés in Las Vegas, and I continue to bring friends and family whenever I get the chance. Between the delicious food and drinks, the beautiful atmosphere, and the hidden speakeasy vibe, it's truly one of the most unique café experiences in town.

Restrooms were really clean and had the same style decor too, so I appreciated that attention to detail. However, I docked 2 stars since I couldn't order anything. I arrived at 939pm, looked at the menu and decided on a slice of the Ube Crepe cake and one of the Apple Cinnamon macarons. They don't close until 10pm and people were still coming in, and there were still plenty of people sitting in the restaurant, but the staff didn't let me order anything at 945pm saying that she doesn't take any more orders after 930pm. What?!?! What the hell? You're open for a whole 30 more minutes and don't want to take my money - am I hearing that right? My friend had cash on him, and he was willing to pay cash if that's less of a hassle, and still no. It's not even to-go only, it was a flat-out no, before their 10pm closing time. THAT IS CALLED CRAP SERVICE. However, the 3 stars instead of 1 or 2 stars is because one anonymous employee who witnessed that go down changed my perspective of this spot. This person asked me not to reveal their identity on my Yelp review out of fear of getting in trouble. They overheard me trying to order but got turned away, then pointed to the macaron in a box in the fridge on display right there to my friend. So as I was walking towards the bathroom, this person (different than the girl who rudely turned me away) apologized for what happened and gave me the apple cinnamon macaron as a gift. That was so sweet of them. The macaron was absolutely perfect too, it was delicious - the perfect texture of the macarons, apple filling, in the center between the cream, with the crunch from I think they were dried apple bits on the side of the cream - amazing!!! But still insanely Vegas tourist trap rip off overpriced with the macaron that person gave me worth $8.35/piece. Honey & Butter Macarons in Irvine, CA or Durian Macarons at Sweet Mood in Westminster, CA, still keep their also delicious macarons under $5 each while having cute decor/ambiance (I'll admit they're not as impressive and unique as this spot though). But they're essentially banking on tourists not knowing any better and what things should actually be worth/gouging tourists as much as they can. Essentially, you're paying for the ambiance. Definitely not paying for the crap service. Food is good, but not astronomically priced good - you're kidding yourselves. You may be able to get away with stuff like that if you're inside one of the luxurious casinos on the Strip, like Venetian, Caesars, Bellagio, etc. But especially being off-strip, get a reality check. I may come back (thanks to your anonymous employee's kind gesture giving me that macaron), but it's more just to show my parents the cool ambiance.

Very small interior, but a vast selection of treats. They offer donuts, cookies, even banana bread! Unfortunately with my evening visit, all of the donuts were sold out. Again, I came for the cookies so not a problem. I chose the Cookie Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie as well as the White Chocolate Chip Ube. I took them home as take out. Despite cooling down a bit, they stayed pretty warm (I still microwaved for good measure). These cookies are incredibly gooey, not at all cakey, and just sweet enough to still be flavorful. Infinitely surpasses the quality of chains like Crumbl. Great stop in Centennial Hills amongst several businesses. Even relatively walkable for Las Vegas. Sweet find!

Unfortunately, today's experience was incredibly disappointing. I ordered a breakfast crepe, a curry cheese sandwich, and three cakes. The food was served without any fork or knife. When I asked about it, there was simply no effort to provide basic service. The bigger issue was when I purchased a birthday cake for a friend. I was told there were no bags available for a 6-inch cake. However, I saw other customers receiving bags. I even asked, "If I buy two more cakes, making it three cakes total, would you be able to give me a bag? I only have two hands." The staff still said no. That response honestly made no sense. What made the experience even more upsetting was that I had my service dog with me. From the moment I walked in to place my order, I could already feel that the staff member was unhappy and dismissive. I truly hope that wasn't the reason for the way I was treated, but it certainly felt that way. This isn't just my opinion anymore. Many of my friends have said the same thing: the cakes are excellent, but the customer service is consistently disappointing. People come because the products are great, not because they're treated well. Sadly, it feels like there's no hospitality--only attitude. My family and I have supported Suzuya since the very beginning, back when the first location opened on Durango. We've watched the business grow over the years, and it's honestly disappointing to see the customer experience decline. Ordering now feels like talking to a robot who simply doesn't care. I've always heard wonderful things about Mike, and from what I've seen, he seems like a genuinely kind person. I can't help but wonder how he would feel if he knew his customers were being treated this way by his staff. I'm usually not someone who complains or leaves negative reviews. It takes a lot for me to write something like this. But today's experience was frustrating enough that I felt it needed to be said. Yes, Suzuya makes fantastic cakes--but great products should never be an excuse for poor customer service. Loyal customers deserve to feel appreciated, not dismissed.
