It also had a very strange, almost chemical flavorful to it too, so I have no idea what is really in it. The chocolate cake part also lacked flavor and was super dense and not airy at all like it used to be. The store was very cluttered and not very welcoming at all. I don't even know if I'll even bother trying the German chocolate or coconut almond one I got and at nearly $4 a piece, I definitely feel slighted. Idk if they do a better job on their cakes, but from the recent comments I've now seen, it seems like a lot of people have the same criticism about their products. Definitely won't be going back here anymore and I guess I'll have to find much better cupcakes elsewhere. Those mermaid cookies was too adorable and delicious. Samantha puts a lot of quality and care in creating each piece, you can see that in her cookies. Her products was a big hit at our party and made it so special. My most recent order was for Thanksgiving. We learned that the inspo pic she found on Pinterest was AI generated and the lovely lady at the front helped us figure out a cake design that worked with our budget and matched her aesthetic. Last year I ran out of cake because I didn't know how to cut a two-layer cake, so this year the cake was in separate layers, with a cardboard layer in between which was an incredible help to me.
