I was crunched for time on my order, and had some very specific design requests, and yet the baker was so incredibly helpful and kind. She went out of her way to make my birthday cake happen exactly as I wanted, even though I was so last-minute in ordering, and ai am so grateful! I not only got to customize the design, but also the cake flavor and filling - which were both to die for. I'm especially picky about my buttercream (I want it to taste like butter, lol) and I was so happy with the taste and texture of the buttercream, cake, and raspberry mousse filling. I keep wanting to go back and buy a tiny cake just for myself, because it was so tasty. I also feel that the price for my cake, which was a large custom, two-tiered, intricately decorated vintage heart cake, was EXTREMELY FAIR, especially considering the time crunch! I had the privilege of meeting the owner while I was there with a friend of mine getting some cake supplies for her birthday and we got two mini cakes, one was cookies and cream and the other one was confetti. We also got a brownie. One of the most delicious cakes I have had. It was very moist and light. The buttercream was heavenly. We were instructed to eat the cake at room temperature and let me tell you it was worth every bite. The brownie was also delicious. We didn't warm it up, but it was fudgy but not dense. They had an abundance of knowledge on baking tips and the history behind gelatin. I came in over the weekend to buy molds for gummy candies. I was looking for gummy worm molds and bear molds. They sadly did not have any worms or classic gummy bears. :-( I ended up buying molds shaped like hearts, zoo animals, feet, card suits, gems, trees, and flowers. The molds I bought were made to shape chocolate, so I had to grease them before I squirted in the gelatin mixture. They turned out really well and tasted great.
