With a 4.4 rating I would think our visit would be great. However there were just too many things…read morethat screamed not good. I admit I had heard they're breakfast and lunch are great. We thought we would visit for dinner at about 6 pm . Place was totally empty when we arrived; a very wait person say us and very nicely waited on us throughout. I had the two bratwurst with red cabbage and German potatoe salad . Now usually to me , bratwurst should be full juicy sausages of a considerable size . What I got was a little better than two hot dogs that were cut in two length wise. The potato salad was somewhat greasy and not too remarkable at all. The red cabbage was only passable. The whole thing seemed like it was warmed up from lunch , in that it came out surprisingly quickly and was tepid rather than hot. Microwaved maybe even. My partner had pork schnitzel, spaetzal and sauerkraut. The snitzel seemed ok though tepid . The serving size though was somewhat smaller than what their online pic showed but my wife said that she didn't need anything bigger . My wife said the spaetzal was good though I tasted it and thought it seemed warmed up. The oddest thing is that the sauerkraut was mixed up with mashed potatoes. The texture was weird and it was missing the tanginess of sauerkraut and , again, tasted warmed up. Is this a way to "stretch" sauerkraut of all things? The problem is they just started dinner service I guess in the last two weeks according to our server . On top of all this it was exorbitantly priced . Whereas I might visit during breakfast, I may not fit dinner for a while to where they can build a better experience. The waitress was very nice and accommodating.

It's just okay The service was great, could not have been greater. The prices are a little bit higher than I would have thought. $5.50 for an extra side is a bit much in my opinion.

If you're in Corpus Christi and even remotely appreciate great food, exceptional whiskey, or a…read morewell-executed vibe, Nueces Whiskey Library is an absolute must. This place is the coolest whiskey bar meets fine dining--and it nails both sides perfectly. I travel to Corpus for work and customer visits, but this is one of those rare spots where I'd come back just for the restaurant. The whiskey selection is outstanding--deep, thoughtful, and clearly curated by people who actually know and love whiskey. Whether you're a bourbon guy, a Scotch drinker, or just want to explore something new, the staff knows their stuff and makes great recommendations without any pretension. The food is where it really separates itself. This isn't bar food pretending to be upscale--this is legit, well-executed, chef-driven cuisine that easily competes with big-city dining. Every dish feels intentional, balanced, and elevated. It's the kind of place where you slow down, enjoy the experience, and immediately start planning what you're ordering next time. Atmosphere-wise, it's spot on: moody, polished, and cool without trying too hard. Perfect for entertaining customers, a business dinner, or just treating yourself after a long day. Corpus Christi is lucky to have this place. Nueces Whiskey Library sets the bar high--and then pours you something great while doing it.

We arrived after having had dinner and despite it being busy (it was a Friday night), we were seated quickly. Its got an old-timey vibe which is enhanced by the decor they use and the fact they were playing a black and white film on the projector. The bar area itself is gorgeous and displays what looks like hundreds of bottles of whiskey. We tried their sazarac and the Anastasia Grey. While I love anything earl grey, I wasnt the biggest fan of the charcoal element but thats a personal preference. It was rather busy so it took some time to get a hold of our server but understandable considering he also had other tables to focus on!

Flavor was great but it was really tough. I understand it's day old croissants I just don't remember them being that tough. My husband ordered a full breakfast and it came out with 2 items missing. I asked to see the menu. It didn't come. The server brought out 1 additional item. I said it was still missing something and asked to see the menu again. Was told everything was there and my husband said it was fine so I let it go. He enjoyed the breakfast but the baguette piece of bread was a joke. One small slice. So he ate the croissant with his eggs. He didn't even use the butter or jam since there wasn't any bread for it. Then the bill came and we were charged for the drink that was supposed to come with it. We told the server. She said that the drink wasn't included. My husband said it was and asked her to see the menu again. No menu. She did go check and it was taken off. Once we got home I looked up the menu and yes the prosciutto I kept asking for was included and never given to him. Really disappointing. For the price this experience was a joke.
