I didn't expect the stains to fully come out, but it's clear that they didn't even TRY to clean them, even a little. The upholstery was not even damp. And there are floor and other areas that are still FILTHY. This place is awful. This is what my car interior still looks like $48 plus tip later. What a ripoff. UPDATE: I just noticed that the cashier, "Sergio," never specified "upholstery cleaning" on my receipt. I don't know if it was supposed to be included in the original package, but I do recall I had tried to pay for just the $16 basic wash and all other services à la carte because I wanted certain ones (upholstery cleaning) and not others (clearcoat and fancy tire treatments). He said the $40 wash package had everything I needed except the interior mats, which I could add à la carte, so I did that. But he also seemed not very attentive to what I was asking for. I had to keep repeating my specific cleaning requests -- and yet still ended up with a dirty car.

I scanned my official Shell app for my standard fuel discount, and the cashier deliberately kept pressing "ABORT" on the register screen to cancel the discount while attempting to charge me full price. When I showed him my phone with my account and name clearly displayed, he refused to honor it and kept hitting abort so the store could pocket the difference. ​This isn't just bad customer service--it is flat-out illegal under California state law: ​Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code § 12024.2 (Price Verification Law): It is illegal to charge an amount greater than the advertised, displayed, or promotional price at the time of sale. ​Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code § 17200 (Unfair Competition Law): Engaging in deceptive, fraudulent, and unlawful business practices to cheat consumers out of valid promotions. ​Cal. Civ. More on that in a minute. I hired him for a very difficult job of making brand new a very unusual and challenging vehicle, a sportsmobile, which is a Ford Econoline van converted into a small 4x4 RV. This vehicle has a lot of little compartments and all sorts of books and crannies, and it had never been cleaned inside. Dave and his family worked on the vehicle for half a day when I was away at work, and was in touch with me numerous times about different aspects of the job, and did an amazing job, see pictures attached. What REALLY surprised me and made me sure to ONLY go to him for all my detail needs in the future, besides the high quality of his work, was something that happened during the detail. Now I was having this done on my fathers vehicle, and I thought I had cleaned it out prior, emptied all the drawers and took all the personal belongings out, but what I had missed and hadn't seen something my father had stashed and forgotten about, and I had no idea it was there, was an envelope full of cash! He texted me after I asked him how everything everything was going, and he said he had found a stash of cash! Yes, he found an unknown to us envelope full of money, and immediately let me know! Now I know everyone should report these things and not keep them, but I believe it's rare to actually have someone do the right thing in that situation and give the cash back to who it belongs to, us! He could have kept the cash and we would have never known about it, but he didn't, he told us and returned it, and I think that is amazing. People like that are very rare these days and he deserves to be acknowledged and appreciated for it.
