This is the same company as the one on campus. Also the same prices, lol. Quality/Quantity - Everything Cal Poly and/or SLO. See pictures. We have more gear than I need. But I want/like to support. Atmosphere - Good size store. Again, everything you need Cal Poly merchandise wise. Metered street parking. Or if you like to walk like me, free residential parking approximately a quarter mile away. Open 7 days a week from 10:30am or 11am to 5pm, 6pm, or 8pm. Thursday's hours are until 8pm due to the farmers market when they have that event. Service - Good. Price - Above average, but if you want the "real" college merchandise, then you have to pay for it. Owner Comment - Follet company, 150+ years old. Great selection, occasional sale on items, friendly staff and customers! Great to be able to pick up items off campus!

Stopped in while driving through town to pick up some merchandise as our current stuff is getting worn down. Moved to a new larger location which was done really nicely. Plenty of selection. They unfortunately didn't have exactly what I was looking for - architecture t shirt not in my size - but I grabbed something else that was just as nice. The staff greeted us when we came in and the check out process was quick. The pricing always hurts but it's as expected being that it's official Cal Poly clothing. Will return for sure. read more

You already spent thousands in tuition, rent, books, food, dorms, and booze... ...why not spend another couple hundred on CP logo'd randomness?!? I say this cheeky, because I am such sucker that loves to rock CP stuff, in theory. I buy tons, but I only pull out the hoodies when weather permits. They literally have everything you could think of and which a logo can be added - from babies to grandparents, it's all there. Literally t-shirts for all members of your family and extended family - sizes and colors, the choices are endless. A plethora of trinkets and junk with CP on them, my particular favorite is the shot glasses. Under Four, right there (shout out to my Marketing homies)! I will say I was pleasantly surprised to see they've stepped up their brand name game - they sell CP Hurley, Under Armor, and Nike items. Yeah, I'm a sucker for labels and the CP logo, so this store is lethal to my post college bank account! If being an Alumnus is of importance to you, then you can kindly ask for your 10% off discount - they might ask for your Alumni card for proof. You don't need any of it, but those two initials, C-P, are nostalgic for us 'Stangs!! read more

The Cal Poly Downtown store was a convenient way to get tourists to pick up gear from the local college. There was a decent selection of products. Prices are as expected - high. What I thought was pretty cool was Cal Poly's wines. read more

I love stopping into Cal Poly Downtown to checkout all the new apparel and gifts, including workout gear, gadgets and Cal Poly food (preserves, jams and chocolate bars) and wine products. Hundreds of shirts, sweatshirts, pullovers, hoodies, fleece, jackets, shorts, sweats, keychains, blankets, coffee mugs, water bottles, backpacks, hats, license plate frames, professional frames, kids wear and food and wine with the "Cal Poly" moniker to choose from. Cal Poly Downtown has a large selection of quality Under Armour, Champion and Nike athletic wear. The sweatshirts are warm, stylish and comfortable. They always have good sale racks too...where a a good find is just waiting to be swept up. The staff are always nice and quick to help with any inquiries and suggestions. I managed to keep the damage at a minimum this trip and walked away with a CP hoodie and a tee. read more

There's usually a huge crowd at student stores on campus so the Mustang store downtown offers a great alternative for students, parents, alumni or visitors. There's the standard stock of clothing apparel, office supplies, gear for sporting events and collectable items. Everything says "cal poly" in someway or other. Most everything is high quality and not chinsey. Here's a more detailed list of stuff: hoodies, shirts, shorts, exercise clothes, pens, pencils, coffee mugs, water bottles, key chains, kids clothes, wino accessories, license plate frames and graduation frames. I came to this store today expecting good things. I had good recommendations from family and friends yet I unfortunately walked away very upset. Upon arriving in the San Luis Obispo area, I found this shop. Like I said, after hearing about it I wanted to see what there was to offer. As soon as myself and my partner walked into the store we were kicked out. They told us that masks were required due to COVID-19. No biggie right? I would go back to my car and grab my mask and come back. But unfortunately no. One of the employees made a rude comment stating that I should know by now masks are required everywhere when in fact they weren't until today. We went into the shop 30 minutes after Governor Gavin Newsom made the announcement requiring masks (yes I checked the news after this incident). Honestly how were we to know? We could have been politely approached and asked to wear a mask but instead we were kicked out and were ridiculed and frankly embarrassed in front of other patrons in the store. It was unnecessary, impolite, and downright rude. Management and customer service at this location needs work. Do not recommend due to bad service and impolite staff. read more

I went in the other day to return a defective item and Katerina was so understanding, helpful and professional in helping me solve my problem. I ended up with a brand new, non defective product and even got to have a nice conversation about the holidays as well! Interesting assortment of theme items but the baby items are not cute enough to convince me to drop $28 on a onesie. Which is too bad, because I was intent on buying something. The plushies were not that cute either; some of the animals had human-looking eyes which gave them an off-putting look! read more

This store is 100x better than the one on campus. The staff is nice and goes out of their way to help customers. The selection of clothing is varied, with lots of choices. I had a lot better luck finding cute cal poly shirts here then on campus. read more

I loved visiting this store for all things Cal Poly. They had a great selection and even a SALE rack that had selection in all sizes and styles. A great stop for Cal Poly memorabilia if you can't make it to the store on campus. read more

Love this Cal Poly apparel store (and other gift/accessory type items). Merchandise is always neatly displayed and I think they have more fashion apparel items than the campus bookstore does. It's not too big so you can really see everything they are selling easily. One dressing room in the center of the store. The students that work there are so friendly and helpful. It's too bad they are only open until 9:00PM on Farmer's Market night, because they would probably do well to stay open later on Friday nights too. Prices are good, especially their sale rack!!! If you are a Cal Poly SLO fan/student/parent....you must check it out! read more
