I needed an alignment on my 2006 ram 2500 long bed. 3 shops said they could do it but once I got there they said truck was too long. Cory actually went out to the shop and measure the alignment rack for me. They knocked the job out and even called me into the shop to take a look at my shot trac bar bushings and explained my caster/camber adjustments. They were also able to set caster to my preferred specs instead of factory due to running 35s and a level. All in all they are great trust worthy people and very nice to talk to and work with. I had a somewhat unique project with my Jeep JLU occurring (Rubicon axle swap on a Sport S) and wanted to find a reliable/respected, well-reviewed and reasonably priced shop to have the work done. Corey initially quoted me a very reasonable amount for the work involved and advised that Sean (the Jeep guy) would be doing the work. Essentially being a "nuts and bolts" job, turned into slightly more...as optional/custom work often does. Their attention to detail to fix things that needed to be addressed was particularly impressive...but there was no "fluff" either...no trying to find random stuff to jack the price up. I received a call from Cory letting me know that with the new tires, shocks and alignment we were good. He recommended not using the other parts because we didn't need them. What? I took a 2013 Subaru Forester in here for a pre-purchase inspection. They somehow missed a major issue, leaking in the upper oil pan seals. I bought the car and it ended up costing 1,800 to remove the engine and replace the oil pan seals. I was disappointed and down $1,800. I would be more financially stable now if it were not for this situation. The people at the shop were friendly and willing to explain the results of the PPI, so I wish it had turned out well, but somehow they missed this major issue, which had very clear visual evidence in the form of oil in the radiator. They noticed that there was oil in the radiator, which I noticed too, and suggested replacing the radiator, but somehow did not know that oil in the radiator is a sign of upper oil pan seal leak, which I now know is a very common issue in Foresters of this era. read more

I originally used Coastal Car Care because they did the first major tune up on my 2014 Subaru Forester. Subsequently they installed new brakes. I went back a few times after they made adjustments last year, but since the squeaking persisted, they kindly replaced the brakes at my request although I was concerned the warranty had expired. No problem, Cory said and since the replacement was done at no cost to me, there has not been one squeak. I can't say enough good words about Cory and the gang at CCC! They truly are that mechanic shop you hope to find. They are kind, professional, priced according to their experience and fair! The most important thing to me is they are transparent. For example, I took my daily to them for regular maintenance and asked for an alignment as I thought it felt slightly off. Cory called and said it was ready to be picked up and that I didn't need the alignment. He said everything was in spec. That's something you should pay attention to on a shop. Honesty. They could have easily taken my money and did the "alignment". If you need another example, my daily is a 2015 and the transmission completely failed. Long story short, they helped coach me with some choice phrasing when it came to requesting the dealership replace the transmission on their dime. It really paid off and I was able to get it replaced at a fraction of the normal cost. I also have a weekend car that spent a couple months with them at the shop. They took very good care of her and laid out everything I needed to get her up and on the street again. They even prioritized what was most important and some items I could push for a later date. They also enjoyed showing me the work they did and showed me some areas under the car that might need some love in the future. The work they did was fantastic! Felt like a new car! I went in for an oil change and had questions about my previous repair done in another place last year for my 2017 Honda Accord. I brought in the billing from them that listed some things that may have to be repaired/replaced in the future. They told me what to look out for and that everything was fine for now. I am updating my review because I need to let you all know that they are seriously the best mechanics with phenomenal integrity. My check engine light came on just as I was getting off the 5. I drive home with my shaking car and then immediately called Tony because I didn't know what to do. He informed my that I should not drive my car and should have it towed in. Once they looked at it, they learned that my engine was leaking oil and it was damaging lots of engine parts. Tony went ahead and researched this issue and it's frequency in my car model. He learned that there was a class-action lawsuit against my car maker. He helped me negotiate to have the car company fix it, replace my plugs, timing belt, water pump, 2 catalytic converters, etc at a deeply discounted cost. This would have been close to a $10k job. Coastal Care Care went far above and beyond to help me and coach me. A big thank you to Tony (and all of the mechanics, because I spoke to others here). I brought my 2019 Jeep grand Cherokee Limited here to have them look at a few things I found concerning, especially some noise coming from the front end.
