It was so good I found myself crying tears of joy. Like it wouldn't stop to the point that I started to laugh at myself at the ridiculosity of it all. My table happened to have a great view of the kitchen. It was great to see the team as they worked as a team to get shit handled. The service was above and beyond. The floor team did a perfect job pacing every dish. Someone always refilled my water. The sommelier was amazing. He rolled out a cart of all the bottles used for the pairing. He handled the rude, drunk woman so graciously. That could never be me. I would've called her out for her rudeness. But he took her comments like a champ and turned it around.

This menu is a tasting menu consisting of 6 different presentations of small dishes, most with a seafood theme. First plate, the chef's appetizers were not a bad start. The artfully crafted bite sized pieces were interesting in flavor and each was very different from the another. The second plate, 3 different presentations of fish on wonton type crackers. By far my favorite plate of the entire experience. The three types of tuna each had their own flavor profiles. The third plate, had a pretty flat flavor. It was like a mushroom creme with various mushrooms that only added texture and not flavor. The fourth plate, turbot with vegetables. It was a really fatty fish with an odd crust. I couldn't really tell you what the crust was, but it almost had a burnt taste to it and despite having this crust it was still pretty flavorless. I could only taste the oil of the fish. The fifth plate, red prawn black rice was a huge let down. The presentation was beautiful, but the entire dish was completely devoid of flavor. I don't think I've ever tasted something so bland. The squid was also no where to be found in the dish. This was a hard pass for me. The 6th dish was a beautiful presentation of a life like clementine with a soft mousse and popping pearls in the center. Lastly, three small sweets (coconut white chocolate with a pineapple filling, chocolate truffle with a fruit jam, and sweet potato ball with nuts). I'm not sure if this is apart of the official tasting menu, but it was served at the end of the lunch service. The staff were so incredibly nice, but service was slow and beverages were not refilled adequately. Additionally, the server spoke a poor level of English and was unable to communicate the various dishes in a way that I could understand. They did have English menus upon request, but I think part of the experience is the verbal explanation of what you're being served. Overall, I did not enjoy this tasting menu. Another important note is that everything was either cold or room temperature at best. Some dishes were meant to be cold, but I didn't think the turbot, rice, and mushroom demi-glaze cream thing, being served cold/room temperature was very nice. Most flavors fell short of the expectations and the hype around a Michelin reputation.

The mood is subdued without any music playing. The seasonal fifteen course tasting menu highlights Spanish Mediterranean and Catalan haute cuisine and comes with an optional wine pairing. We enjoyed a few glasses of cava instead. I recommend fasting for at least six hours prior to the meal in order to properly enjoy it. It was constantly being cleaned up, new silverware being laid out, or getting the next course served. We enjoyed all the courses. There wasn't a single course that we didn't like. Our stand out dishes were the blue lobster with the softest/most pillowy gnocchi and an iberico pork chop with cabbage jus. We were all in awe. My dad loved the cured squid somuch, he talked about it throughout the rest of our trip. I loved all the dessert courses. My husband and I both got cocktails. We told them our taste preferences and our preferred liquors. And they absolutely nailed it. I did read somewhere that their mocktails are just as expensive as their cocktails, so keep that in mind. I thought it was absolutely worth the price. It was about 3-3.5 hourish dinner. We did add an extra course (they were offering a white truffle pasta dish that my dad absolutely did not want to pass over). We decided on 70 euro each which gave us a grand total of around 15 tapa dishes. This was a lot of food and you bet we were stuffed by the end of the meal! Everything was so delicious, the meat and seafood were all excellent quality. Standout tapas include the sea urchin, grilled razor clams, Russian salad, Iberian ham, tomato bread, foie gras, pork jowl sandwiches and mackerel. I don't know how many customers they get from spillover from Tapas 24 (especially on Sundays when it's closed). Our bill came out to be 44 euros after a glass of wine and gin and tonic (almost three times more expensive than the wine). I think I could've expected a little more in Barcelona with that price.
