We have been going to Calabreeze since 2018 for our pool needs. They replaced our liner back in 2018 (we had a bad liner leak for years) and they installed a salt cell to convert our conventionally chlorinated pool to a salt water-chlorinated pool. Aside from that, Debbie has been a joy to go to for balancing chemicals and all other pool needs. The sand in my filter needed to be replaced this season, and she did not try to force having them do it. Instead she was happy with my doing it and filter sand was much cheaper there than the alternatives. As long as I am in the area I will always be going to Calabreeze. Starting mid pool season in 2025 we were having so many issues with our pool water and spent lots of time and money trying to get it right using seasonal world and hometown pools and nothing got fixed. This year we hired Calabreeze pools to open our pool and help us get the pool water right. I cannot tell you how much I appreciated Debbie and the team here. They went above and beyond to troubleshoot our issues and to help everything get fixed. The expert advice, honest approach and support they gave far exceeded the other places. Took the day off work to have a line test done for a leak. They called the day of the appointment to tell me they couldn't do it because they scheduled us for a pool opening instead of a leak test. The woman on the phone was rude made it out like it was our fault.Then, said it must have been a miscommunication. There was no miscommunication, we had a 10 minute conversation about the problem we were having. They had no other appointments so we would need to take another day off to have them come out. Very rude unprofessional, and do not have loyalty to their good customers had an appointment to open my pool. They did not even call me after my husband took the day off of work to be here to tell me they weren't coming because their guys stripped my liner screws to hold my liner on And they didn't want to deal with it so we called to ask when they were coming. They said oh you had a problem with the screws in your cement so you have to speak to the owner and then when my husband called back the girl there who I wish I remembered her name Was nothing but a bitch and rude to my husband, like oh well, too bad, such bad business and unnecessary rudeness their men stripped our screws and then they screwed us for our appointment. It would've been nice to have a courtesy call just to say hey we're not coming today but no and then when we call, we got nothing but nasty ass. They should be embarrassed. Calabreeze is one of the worst pool company in Jackson New Jersey . I recently hired Calabreeze pools to service my pool and to balance out my chemical and they did a horrible job. I was out of town for a few week so my water turn green and the level drop below the skimmers . Calabreeze pools was hired to clear up the water however that did not happen . They took my money and my water is still green , all they did was add chemicals to the pool without filling it back up the right level . My pump was off and all my skimmers was filthy . They didn't even clean out the skimmers. Who throws chemical in a pool and don't have the pump running for at least 24hr ?. After asking them that I was then told my pool was on a timer when it was not , but as a pool professional you know that the pool needs to be ran at least 24hr why would u put it on a timer .all the excuses they gave me did not make sense . I was hurt and a felt like I was ripped off . I will never recommend them even to an enemy or friend . Worst experience I've encounter with a pool company wish I can get my money back and never see them again . read more

I wasn't surprised to also find other negative reviews here about this business. One reviewer here sites the owners as, "RUDE, RUDE, RUDE." I just left the store under treat of bodily harm and near physical removal. It was only after I said that if he touched me, the Jackson PD would be called and here within minutes. He further said that I'm lucky I'm an "old man" or he would have decked me right then and there. It was only then that his wife held him back from carrying out his threats. I guess that happens when you sit around smoking vapor canisters all day with unknown substances; you get volatile, My offense? I left a note in the crack of their door in complaint that after 6 visits over a Saturday and Sunday they were closed. But they advertise and publish weekend hours. It is not a convenient trip for me. In my note I acknowledge that I know sometimes things come up. But I also wrote suggesting that they change their VM message or leave a sign on the door. Shit happens, I know. On 9/11 I lost my Mom at the WTC. But almost immediately I had the good professional sense to change my business voice mail so that my clients would understand that I might be delayed in getting back to them. That's what professional do when they care about good customer service. In a way I'm glad this happened. If I had six stars these guys would be it. The best of the best in customer service and expertise. My wife and I have been impressed with the quality of workmanship/service/ punctuality and expertise we have received, from all of their techs and office personnel. We purchased our home a year ago and knew nothing about pools and The Calabreze team have been an incredible asset in helping us restore our pool, and maintaining it crystal clear all year. I have to agree with other postings. Brought my water there for testing and compared with another store with another of the same sample. Their results were way off and therefore their advice was too. Not that I really blame the guy, he had to be nervous with the boss lady talking down to him the whole time like he was an idiot and she was some Marine Drill Sargent. They are so helpful. Both owners (husband and wife) really know there stuff. I'm baffled by the other reviews here, as I have NEVER had an issue. I love the back and forth bickering they do on my behalf, on how best to treat my water. They are always professional and kind to me. RUDE RUDE RUDE! These people are so rude. I have spent so much money in this store, I cannot believe how these people treat their customers. Once you learn your pool, Walmart has all of the same chemicals for half the price. Get a good PH kit and just do it yourself! Just a note - I too was switched to EZ pool and it DOES NOT WORK! I switched back to normal chlorine chemicals. Central Jersey Pools in Freehold is a good place to go for monthly water testing. Buy something there like a bag of shock or something so you can continue to get free water testing. read more

Use them at your own risk 9 the owner challenged me to a fight when I disputed an unauthorized $45 charge they hit us with when they closed our pool. We paid the quoted balance in full, but they hit us with an extra charge and lied saying no one was home to authorize. When I disputed the charge with the owner he said "What's the matter, you broke and can't afford it?" The staff is there is massively rude, but now you can add "lacking in integrity" (a nice way of saying 'theft') to their qwell-deserved reputation. read more

Just finished dealing with these people. I think they have advanced stages of Alzheimers. They sold us a bill of goods with this EZ Pool system. Oh you need to add this and add that before you can even start the EZ Pool product. So over $100 later we followed their instructions explicitly and at the end the pool looked like a sudsy milk bath. Called them up for help and to get a reimbursement. No deal they said. They couldn't even agree on the amounts of products they we put into the pool after writing it down for us. We put three bottles of this in the pool and they said - oh that doesn't come in bottles. Well, thats what you gave us. And a bottle of this - oh that doesn't come in a bottle. If you don't know what you gave us then how can you help us. The computer calls for 5 bottles of this and they only gave us three bottles. People this is a 12 foot 30 inch deep above ground pool. It ain't rocket science. Go somewhere else for your pool needs. Trust me. read more
