I asked them if they tested it to verify it worked, they said they didn't but they were sure it was OK. The next day I turned it on it had very low pressure then it overheated and shut down. I called but they said they were 'booked' and couldnt come back until sometime the next week. Of course couldn't use the pool the entire 4th weekend.

Seriously, they are nothing but helpful and much better than a roulette wheel at diagnosing your murky pool water. The other job was a deck refresh from wood to composite. He showed up to do the job not knowing how. He apologized, said he didn't want to disappoint me, and called his father, a retired contractor over to help. His father spent weeks on what should have been a few day project. Turns out, he'd never did this particular type of job either. I never asked this contractor for references because he'd been my trusted pool guy for a while. I highly recommend asking for referrals whether or not you have a relationship with that individual. You may well be the next guinea pig. Fake it til you make it is what they call this maneuver.

I "fixed" it each year with globs of "underwater epoxies, silicon, etc." but this year I lost about 3/4" per day and try as I may could not find any additional leaks. It was time to bring in the pros Samantha and her husband Ed. The pool was thoroughly investigated via sonar and dye testing and they found the culprit-my other pool light!! Ed repaired it as well as my other messy pool light fix with a neat and patient application of a special epoxy. I performed the bucket test again and my leak is gone! I highly recommend Pool Patcher for solving my multi year pool headache and I'm not worried about losing any more water or pool chemicals thanks to them.
