Wonderful family that runs it. Unbeatable food and drinks.. Quality ingredients, best salsa and chips around.

Finally got to try the new mexican restaurant in Staunton. It definitely was some tasty food but still not the best we've had. I loved the thinness of the chips and the freshness of their salsa. The Tamale I had was amazing and so was the Beef Birria tacos. Try to get a regular Coke a couple times but kept being given diet. The food did not take long and was pretty hot when came out. I would definitely come back if did not want to travel as far to our favorite spot. One thing though is that it was extremely loud with the music trying to drown out the conversations trying to out drown it so be mindful if wanting a more quieter setting.

    The owners are the great!!

He's created an atmosphere--and product--that makes me want to stick around awhile. In fact, for our last visit we got carry-out food from an Italian restaurant in town and enjoyed it at MC's bar so we could make an evening of it. The mood in the room is comfortable, with high ceilings, dark wood, and just enough warm lighting. The music is cool; Tracy knows what works in the space and creates a nice vibe. Printed menus are readily available, listing current house beers, guest taps, and can and bottle offerings. They also have a nice cocktail menu featuring house-made cordials and such. And the beer--it's really good! They specialize in oak-fermented ales, and seem to know what they're doing and take pride in their work. A couple farmhouse ales hit the spot on a recent hot day. My fave on the menu was the Orange Peeler saison, and I regret not bringing home some cans (the first beer they've canned, I believe.) They also have some collabs with Perennial Artisan Ales available in bottles; those did come home with us. Another beer that's not currently on the menu, but I enjoyed a few months ago: Fuzzy Guitars, an oak-aged saison with blackberries. There's always something new and interesting here, as well as beers worth coming back to each time. Also a hit for me: the cocktails and mocktails. I chose a cocktail off the menu (the name of it escapes me... something about a worm) that involved tequila, absinthe, vermouth, and... I don't know what else but it was perfectly balanced and lovely to sip. I followed that up with a flavored soda that was also top-notch. Mississippi Culture is hosting events, including live music and trivia nights--I'm looking forward to returning for those soon.

The food is consistently fantastic, and the cocktails are always perfectly done. We've been back several times now and have never been disappointed. It was a special night, a group of foodie friends got together after not seeing each other for a while. It was a group of 11 and the accommodations and service couldn't have been better. Our server was extremely professional and didn't mind that it was 6 different checks. As our server was telling us the Daily Specials and the Catch of the Day, I immediately knew what I wanted. Whenever I hear, Pan Seared Sea Scallops or anything with Scallops, I'm sold. My scallops (4) were huge and the Risotto that they were served on was moist and flavorful. I also learned that they offer half bottles of wine and one of them is my favorite. I love, Quilt Cabernet Sauvignon. I'm probably going to wine hell because I paired it with my seafood instead of a white wine. Also, I want to give a shout out for their, Crab Stuffed Mushrooms. I've been known to stop by and have them and a Martini and call it a meal. When: February 19, 2026 Why: Meeting up with friends

From the reservation, to the hostess greeting us and helping us even though we arrived an hour early, to the desserts. The server was knowledgeable and helpful in choosing our food and drinks. It's a small menu, but clearly that allows and incredible focus on the quality and the details. I cannot imagine being unhappy with anything listed. This, for us is a special occasion place, simply because of the prices, but WORTH IT.

It was decently busy for a Wednesday night but there was plenty of bar seating. The decor is beautiful and I especially appreciated their carefully curated glass and tableware--all stunning. Our bartender, whose name I fail to remember, was excellent. She had great beer recommendations. We tried the Hefe Weissbier (my favorite, which paired perfectly with both appetizers), the Meteor Pils, and the Gaffel Kolsch. I'd recommend all of them if you're a beer drinker! The spinach dumplings are a must. They are bursting with spinach flavor and swimming in a rich brown butter sauce. We also tried the alpine dip, which comes with an enormous soft pretzel. It was okay, but the dip wasn't exactly what we were expecting. I'd probably pass on the alpine dip next time. Overall an amazing experience and I look forward to enjoying a full meal there next visit. Be advised that they pride themselves on seasonal menus so if you're eyeing a menu item, get yourself there to try it before it's gone!

Their service was limited to drinks and a featured appetizer. The ambiance was stunning! Hats off to the designer of the Christmas decorations. The decor set the expectation of my experience and they did not disappoint!. There were 8 in our party and we ordered from the holiday drink menu, designed like a Christmas Card which is a genius idea. We tried 8 of their drinks and passed them around to taste. ALL were well balanced so hats off to the bartenders as the place was packed and it would have been easy to let your standards slip when you are as busy as they were. Although the place was packed our service was great. I can't wait to return and try their food menu. If it is anything like their attention to detail, I am so excited to return and I fully expect to post a great review. What a great evening with friends and a great kick off of the holidays. Just a quick note on pricing: This is not a chain restaurant so don't expect chain restaurant prices. My opinion is it is deserved price point when you consider the standards they set. It's a perfect place for date night, entertaining a client or a girls evening out.

We walked in around 4:15pm, and found an open private booth which was cool. The entire space is classy and I'd like to sit in the leather chairs in the back room next time. The drinks were good- a Carajillo and special "love potion". The booth had the ability to control our music volume which we enjoyed. The only hiccup is the menu said to "hit the button in your booth to order", we couldn't find the button. After waiting quite a while our waitress hadn't come back, so I went to find her and put our drinks in. She explained the booths no longer have buttons. No big deal, but we should have been approached sooner for our drink order versus having to go find her. All in all we still enjoyed our experience and will return.
