I would not recommend using Caldwell Glass. I ordered my glass shower door and glass partition on May 19th, 2020. I was told 10 business days and they would call me to schedule an appointment. I never heard from them some 20 days later and called the business. I got the run around for several days. I finally got a call back and got on the schedule for June 17th, 2020. They arrived late and my wife heard the installer, Chad, say he had not done one of these doors for well over a year. After the door and partition were installed, I found they were not measured correctly. I contacted Caldwell Glass and spoke to them. They advised they would not replace the door. They stated it was an issue with the tile. I told them the tile was installed prior to them measuring and that they measured wrong. Instead of remeasuring and replacing the parts, they found a Band-Aid for the problem. They did make some effort to fix the partition. However, they either measured the replacement glass wrong or used the old glass, as there is a very large gap on the back of the glass that they filled with silicone. I reached out to the owner Thad and he blamed their supplier and the tile for the issues. At the end of the day, he would not take responsibility for any of the issues. Ultimately, I filled complaints with the BBB and the Idaho Contractors Board over this situation. It appears Caldwell Glass came under new ownership at the beginning of 2020 and is not the same company the Treasure Valley once knew. I ordered a window over. year ago and paid half as a deposit still have not received the window install and can not contact company. I would like a refund but I guess they moved locations. can't get a hold of any one. this is horrible company read more

Basically, took my deposit. Gave me the runaround about supplier issues for months closed up and refused to return deposit.

They had us on their schedule, but then they never showed up. I called them, and they couldn't find the schedule. After a while, they said they figured out the problem. The materials hadn't come in yet and they said they had tried to contact us to let us know, but failed to leave a message (I guess.) They had talked to my wife the week of the install to confirm our appointment. I asked when they could reschedule and they said it is against their policy to create a schedule until the materials came in. I called them out on why did they create a schedule for us if they didn't have the materials, and they blamed it on a training issue in the office and it has been dealt with. Maybe I have a trust issue, but it almost sounded like they gave my materials to another job or something and tried to cover their tracks. Going on week 3 without our window being replaced. read more

stay away this company sucks. we ordered our Windows almost a year ago and still have not received them. all we get is the run around. we ask for our money back and they will not refund us back. going on a year and still do not have answers to we're are the Windows. run,run away from this company unless you would like to wait a year or more for your Windows if you even get them at all. they are thieves in sheep clothing. run run run away. read more

I work with Caldwell Glass regularly for the rentals we manage. Each and every time, they have been professional, responsible, and their prices can't be beat! I checked with two other companies on pricing for two windows that were broken and no one even came close to their pricing. They were even able to repair a window that I didn't think was repairable due to the age - and it turned out great! I won't go anywhere else for repairs to broken windows and glass replacement. read more

The crew that has done our window/trim install has really been great. They did good work however above that (and to me more important) they are true customer service people. They went about their tasks very professionally and showed a lot of respect for us, our friends and home. We had out of town guests from AK and TX so a lot of people in this space. The crew just weaved in and out to not interrupt anything and basically ignored all our silliness and loudness. Thank you!!! We are so very glad we went with Caldwell Glass your crew is doing a wonderful job representing Caldwell Glass. I think a lot of companies loose site that for the consumer sometimes the service people is the company to us consumers. Not a good experience. Owner didn't write all instructions down so one of the windows didn't slide the right way. Also the grids were wrong. After asking him to fix it. He blamed us! We contacted the manufacturer and they fixed it. Beware! read more

Had all 19 home windows replaced. After several bids, I liked what Caldwell Glass had to offer and how friendly they were. The windows were installed quickly with minimal damage to the existing frames. When I called about one of the windows not sliding correctly, they immediately fixed the problem. I will definitely use them again. read more

I would give Caldwell glass a zero rating if I could. Please read this entire post because I hope no one else has to go through what we went through. To begin with they are a family run business that takes no accountability and covers each other's butts and never supports the customer. They actually make excuses for their awful customer service, mess ups and they asked us if we were interested in buying the business. What does that say about their lack of commitment?!We are return customers as we chose to give them a second chance after they messed up our first project. Our mistake! Their second in command and lead foreman, Dave, spray-painted the brick siding on our house bright orange to mark where a hole should be dug in the ground fir an egress window and then denied doing it and refused to fix it. When I asked that someone else besides Dave oversee the project I was told that our project would be delayed an extra two weeks because of my request. Then Todd, one of the owners, came out unannounced and started drilling holes in the side of our brick (not the foundation where he should've drilled) to mark where the hole for the egress window should be cut. He also sprayed more paint on more of the brick siding! When Acore, the cutting company, came on site they had to remeasure, re-drilled the holes and lower the marking for the window by almost 2 inches because where Todd had measured and drilled did not meet egress code. Up to this point we had paid over $2200 which was only half of the entire job. When I called and spoke with Clint, Todd's dad and the other owner, Clint called me a liar on the phone about Acore and then told us we were being very difficult customers. He then told me we should just find someone else to finish up the job and left me hanging. We were able to get our windows from them but we still had to hire a mason and pay him to fix the brick that Caldwell Glass's OWNER AND LEAD FOREMAN had destroyed without taking accountability and without offering to rectify the situation. I would NEVER recommend these people! I have no idea how they stay in business! We are local business owners as well and if I ever treated any of our clients this way I would expect the same sort of review. read more

I had my hesitations after reading a bad review but they could get me in right away so I decided to go here. I left my car over night and they got to it right away the next morning. I picked it by 4. There was an issue w/left over glass in the bottom of the door and it was making a weird sound. I will tell you that talking to the installer, he does get a little miffed when you say something is wrong but he looked at it right away and fixed the issue with no problems. read more
