I would not recommend bringing any of your small engine items here for repair. Firstly, they are some of the most unfriendly individuals I have ever talked with. But that's not as big of a deal as how they actually fix things. I had a rough running chainsaw so I brought it to them. They said they fixed it, I believed them and then didn't use it for a few weeks. Once I tried using it again it ran horribly, I would say almost worse than it was beforehand. I brought it back in figuring they would make good on their repair. No such luck, they charged me again. After a discussion on how they think they could charge me again they said it's been a few weeks and they did some extra service on it. So I paid another 40 bucks for 5 minutes of work. Now should I have tried it in the parking lot, yes I most certainly should have. But I really didn't think a company could mess it up twice. But boy, was I wrong. I get it home, try to use it and it runs just as bad as it did. After calling to complain, I was told they would look at it for free but not fix it for free even though I already paid them twice. I was then told to never go there again and was hung up on. After telling a coworker to never set foot in there he had me bring it to him and had it running great in 10 minutes for free. Stay clear of this place unless you want your equipment to run worse than it does. read more

I want to give Caledonia Rent-All the credit they have earned. I have been a customer of Caledonia Rent-All for 10+ years - I have rented fertilizer spreaders, lawn aerators, large leaf blowers , chainsaws, walk behind brush hogs, bed edgers, trailers and even a Bobcat on one occasion. ( took me some time on how to maneuver - but I got the hang of it) I have had my lawnmower serviced and repaired and blades sharpened annually. I have always been treated fairly and professionally. The owner Tom greets customers 1st - he oversees his employees to make sure they give all customers professional- quality service as his retired dad did when he owned the business. I purchased a Husqvarna blower and edger for my personal use - the employee asked me what I was using it for and sold me the lower end model for my needs - did not pressure me or try to up sell me at any time. I did have an issue with a chainsaw rental - when the chainsaw got hot - it was very difficult to start - I called the store and they tried to walk me through restarting - after 10 min of letting it cool down - still could not restart. I brought the chainsaw back and they gave me a new chainsaw rental and restarted my time - I had already used for more than 1 1/2 hours. I recommend Caledonia Rent-All to anyone looking to rent outdoor power items - they have friendly and professional employees at a fair price. Great Team that works here. Have bought a tractor and rented numerous equipment from them over the years. Had a piece of equipment malfunction and they were out within the hour to fix the issue. Have had to buy parts for my tractor through the years and to date I've never walked out of the store without the part in hand. Definitely recommend them. read more

Took my weed whip in for repair late winter and picked it up maybe 10 days later. Went to use it when grass started to grow and gas poured out......which is why I had taken it in. Returned it for follow up repair and again picked up in a week or so but when they went to start it before I left, no go. No apology for inconvenience (those are free to give and build loyalty in my book). Said it probably needed a carb replaced so left it again. Waited a week and hadn't received a call so I called but the woman who answered couldn't give me an update; said I would get a call next morning. No call for 3 days so I called again to be told carb may be in but not installed yet. After voicing my displeasure they offered a loaner which I went and picked up (now my 5th trip there). They called 2-3 days later to say it was ready. Picked up today (again no mention of inconvenience, sorry, nothing) just another charge. Probably a legit charge as stuff does happen but all in all pretty unhappy and won't be returning. read more

I had issues with my weed wacker a couple of years ago. They did fix the issue but caused another on, they changed the fuel lines, leaving one way too short, culs up and out of the full level in the gas tank. Last year I took it in to get fixed correctly. They didn't do a damn thing, only cut off that plastic rectangle thing that is attached to the gas cap, claimed it was pulling the gas line up and out of the gas. This did no fix the issue. I took it back last week, to have it fixed correctly. The man I spoke to started to explain to me why he does that. I stopped him, heard the same spiel last year, asked if he could fix it correctly this time or should I find someone else. He removed the tag and handed me my weed wacker, told me to go ahead. I asked for the owner's name, he claimed he was the owner. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS! He is rude, incompetent, and an ass! They do not know what they are doing when it comes to repairs read more

Had them do work on my riding lawnmower. They did work on the mower without asking me for the go ahead, they worked on parts of the mower I never even discussed with them, and they charged me for it. They didn't fix what I took it in for correctly the first time, so I had to bring it back and they charged me Again for it! The issue they said they fixed without asking me, ended up being worse when I got it home. Their customer service was less than steller and the cost to have them do the work was way over priced.
