A historical restaurant tucked just outside the main downtown strip. It's set in a very old house with charming, period décor that adds to the experience. The food was excellent--we ordered the fish and the chicken, and both were outstanding. Definitely a place we'd return to.

$48.00 Special, 2 pieces of broccoli and 1 piece of a carrot. My steak was a little tough and my pasta was uneatable, Very disappointing

We rented the private room for my daughters and her fiancés engagement! It was perfect ! Food was great the atmosphere was perfect ! Our waiter was wonderful . We had the best night !

Stopped by Calhoun Corners on a cold Thursday night and we were charmed. From the exposed brick to the wood beams, the place has been beautifully restored. Plus, we got to warm up by the fire place! We loved the she crab soup and the seared sea scallops. My boyfriend had the duck while I went with the Medici shrimp and Parmesan pasta. Both were delicious! After dinner, we stopped by the bar for a night cap, the martinis were perfection. We'll definitely be back!

Super solid experience tonight. Started slow, no server for too long to even get us started once we were seated, so we had to go back to front desk n someone immediately came over. Isabelle was top notch, couldn't have been better from start to finish. Our meals were all very good. My fave was the shrimp and lobster Newberg, the lamb was a hit for someone needing Gluten Free. Jambalaya was thouroughly enjoyed. Lots of beef choices with nice sauces. Portions were decent, no complaints. Prices reflect the current food market, it's a celebratory place for us, wouldn't be in the normal rotation. But we need a place to take guests when they visit right? Building is interesting, you can sense the history here. The big tree out front is so pretty. Definitely recommend it!

The reviews on yelp do not give this place enough credit! Our research team went here for dinner and it was exceptional. The waitress was attentive and the food was amazing. We had the goat cheese bruschetta and hummus appetizers, and they were quickly devoured. For dinner, I had the pan seared rib-eye and it was outstanding. Perfectly cooked and seasoned.

Recommend by a co-worker and I was not disappointed. The Shrimp and grits were delicious. I ate at the bar and had great service as well.

Unfortunately Rick Erwin's missed the mark on its primary assignment. The restaurant is nicely decorated in the style of a steakhouse. Dark wood paneling and shutters adorn the walls with pleasant dim lighting shining down from above. Service was strong with a team serving our table. We were greeted immediately and offered water and a drink. However, we were not offered bread, which is unusual for a steakhouse. Our appetizer of Buffalo Cauliflower was just ok. The breading had a subtle after-taste, which may have been from the batter being undercooked. And the buffalo sauce was not very prominent. So the dish was not as strong as I would have wanted. For our main course, we ordered the porterhouse for two--the signature dish at any steakhouse. Unfortunately, it fell short. When the steak arrived, it lacked the expected presentation; it had been grilled rather than broiled and was served without the usual butter or sizzling finish. That missing sizzle wasn't just visual--it showed in the flavor. A proper porterhouse should have a rich, salty, buttery finish, but this one was surprisingly bland. Just as disappointing, instead of being presented as the centerpiece of the table, the steak was served on a plate that we were apparently expected to eat directly from. It felt odd and took away from what should have been a standout experience. Overall, this was a below average experience for a steakhouse. We will try it again down the road since the choices near Clemson are limited. But Rick Erwin's should really revisit what it is trying to be and then decide how to be that.
