We rented the private room for my daughters and her fiancés engagement! It was perfect ! Food was great the atmosphere was perfect ! Our waiter was wonderful . We had the best night !

Stopped by Calhoun Corners on a cold Thursday night and we were charmed. From the exposed brick to the wood beams, the place has been beautifully restored. Plus, we got to warm up by the fire place! We loved the she crab soup and the seared sea scallops. My boyfriend had the duck while I went with the Medici shrimp and Parmesan pasta. Both were delicious! After dinner, we stopped by the bar for a night cap, the martinis were perfection. We'll definitely be back!

Super solid experience tonight. Started slow, no server for too long to even get us started once we were seated, so we had to go back to front desk n someone immediately came over. Isabelle was top notch, couldn't have been better from start to finish. Our meals were all very good. My fave was the shrimp and lobster Newberg, the lamb was a hit for someone needing Gluten Free. Jambalaya was thouroughly enjoyed. Lots of beef choices with nice sauces. Portions were decent, no complaints. Prices reflect the current food market, it's a celebratory place for us, wouldn't be in the normal rotation. But we need a place to take guests when they visit right? Building is interesting, you can sense the history here. The big tree out front is so pretty. Definitely recommend it!

I prefer to give good reviews when they are earned, However Underwhelming was a word I need to use. Let's start with service. Seemed like they'd rather be somewhere else. Started with water.. asked for water with lime for both of us. Came out dumped on the table and ran away, no lime.. ok minor, later came to refill waters, did my wife's glass and as I stood there with my half empty glass in hand...he walked away. The meals, at these premium prices, expect a premium meal, small duck breast, large helping of a some what overdone risotto, and just enough vegetables to add color to the corner of the plate. Swing and a close miss, a bit more attention to the risotto, slightly larger duck helping and a slightly larger helping of vegetables would have gone a long way to make this better. Duck was good but not a memorable flavor or tenderness. The duck Bricket looked more like frozen patty than a fresh breast. What this place has going for it is the nice old building with the exposed brick. They need to up the dishes and servers need to pay better attention.

The reviews on yelp do not give this place enough credit! Our research team went here for dinner and it was exceptional. The waitress was attentive and the food was amazing. We had the goat cheese bruschetta and hummus appetizers, and they were quickly devoured. For dinner, I had the pan seared rib-eye and it was outstanding. Perfectly cooked and seasoned.

The food here is good and I can't say enough about the staff though. Outstanding crew every time. I usually order seafood here, but I have had steak a few times. The food is always well prepared and quality. Most recently I had scallops and shrimp. I didn't care for the dipping sauce, but with just butter and lemon it was delicious. I really like the servers, who always treat our party well and are friendly.

Seafood trio. Small portion but it all tastes amazing!

Recommend by a co-worker and I was not disappointed. The Shrimp and grits were delicious. I ate at the bar and had great service as well.

Unfortunately Rick Erwin's missed the mark on its primary assignment. The restaurant is nicely decorated in the style of a steakhouse. Dark wood paneling and shutters adorn the walls with pleasant dim lighting shining down from above. Service was strong with a team serving our table. We were greeted immediately and offered water and a drink. However, we were not offered bread, which is unusual for a steakhouse. Our appetizer of Buffalo Cauliflower was just ok. The breading had a subtle after-taste, which may have been from the batter being undercooked. And the buffalo sauce was not very prominent. So the dish was not as strong as I would have wanted. For our main course, we ordered the porterhouse for two--the signature dish at any steakhouse. Unfortunately, it fell short. When the steak arrived, it lacked the expected presentation; it had been grilled rather than broiled and was served without the usual butter or sizzling finish. That missing sizzle wasn't just visual--it showed in the flavor. A proper porterhouse should have a rich, salty, buttery finish, but this one was surprisingly bland. Just as disappointing, instead of being presented as the centerpiece of the table, the steak was served on a plate that we were apparently expected to eat directly from. It felt odd and took away from what should have been a standout experience. Overall, this was a below average experience for a steakhouse. We will try it again down the road since the choices near Clemson are limited. But Rick Erwin's should really revisit what it is trying to be and then decide how to be that.

First hint should have been the tables - several high tops still dirty and not wiped down. The ducks are cute, but to have to avoid stepping in duck sh** to get into the place, well not our thang.... Anyway we decided to give it a go and ordered some fried mushrooms, 2 orders of the double burger special, and a couple of sodas. Waited, and waited.....and waited. In the meantime the servers were busy showcasing their twerking capabilities to each other at the counter where they pick up orders. OKaaaaay. How about wiping down a few tables? So our order arrives - rather partial order. Only 1 of the double burger special arrived, and the "order of fried mushrooms" contained 9 mushrooms total, and these were not large by any stretch. For $10.75?? Good grief. We decided to split the one order of the burger special as we had waited close to 35 minutes already. To be fair, the burger was good, the fries that came with it were sparse but good. The mushrooms - meh. Oh and at the plastic cutlery dispenser station - out of forks and knives. That twerking practice must be oh so important.... The live entertainment was good though - just one guy who knew a lot of songs, and was doing his absolute best to play some requests. Entertaining, great sense of humor and sounded good - kudos to him. Net net, not interested in a return visit - certainly didn't expect a 5* or even a 4*, but this place had too many things just not up to par.
