MY REVIEW IS OF THE LOCATION ONLY. I NEVER WENT INSIDE. First of all the address doesn't match the chronologically order of numbers in rest of the shopping center. So I'm driving around in the (sketchy) center looking and calling the restaurant and the lady that answered could give precise instruction on how to located the place. When I finally gave up and was just leaving I made a right out of the drive and lo and behold it's on the outside of the center. Literally the highest numbered address and the only suite PRIOR to going into the center. Like hello why not say I'm not inside the center. She kept saying if you in the center near the beauty supply go around the back. Then around the back from Louisiana Chicken. Honey let me advise you, you are prior to the center go around back doesn't make people will at least me think the corner prior to or outside of the center. I was trying to drive to the back of the center and it was not where you'd want your customers going. The spot is off Kingtree and I Street and you can't park on Kingtree nor would you want to there's homeless encampments all over there with antique store directly across the street from her door so any street parking on I would be taken by those patrons. And I had a disabled person in the car who couldn't walk from all the back where the shopping center began. So I'm sure she's missing out on foot traffic and inconvenience of parking traffic. If I maybe so bold as to give my humble opinion, break you lease and find another spot that isn't as scary for lone females and elder patrons to visit, that has robust lit parking and that doesn't put Baby in the back corner !! Tonight, we ordered our food through GrubHub. We figured we would try a restaurant we haven't ordered from and I am glad we did. The restaurant staff kindly called to let us know they were out of fresh baked chicken, which was one of the plates we ordered. They offered to either replace with a different entree or asked if we preferred to wait for it to be made. Given it was our first time ordering from them, we opted to wait. Not only did the food arrive sooner than expected, they threw in extra goodies and the meal was cooked to perfection. We ordered oxtail w/Mac & cheese and candied yams. I was very disappointed and it was a little bit dry because of that point and it was little I mean little I got more rice than red beans so I also got yams which, in my opinion were undercooked had a pretty good flavor. I guess the oxtails now I was disappointed for two factors. It wasn't spicy it needed a lot of pepper needed some salt, but I didn't have no oxtail gravy. What's up with that? she needs to be putting gravy with her food I also got the banana pudding now I think she uses condensed milk in that cause it was so sweet. It was ridiculously sweet. I had to check my sugar 2×3 times and I I'm not a diabetic. In the end I spent about 80 bucks and I was glad I really didn't wanna cook and the food wasn't that bad but for that price in that time I probably could've cooked the whole meal myself and didn't have to see crackheads run across my car anyway I hope she has a blessed restaurant. The food served at Cali's Peaches is absolutely superb. The service is enthusiastic, attentive, and empathic. I had the fried chicken which was seasoned PERFECTLY, crispy, and juicy. The portions were ok my meat loaf was dry and fell apart, yams had too much honey or citrus taste for my liking. the Mac and cheese lacked seasoning and didn't have cheese throughout the serving.
