Barely squeaking by with 3 stars... Compared to their Dallas location, this was a super lackluster experience. We walked in at 12:30 and there were two people sitting in the restaurant and we were asked if we had a reservations. When we said no, we did not have reservations. There is a long pause as if our party of three was an inconvenience. We were sat within a few minutes after that, place an order for drinks, which then took about 25 minutes to come out - the drinks were too iced teas and an old-fashioned. We placed our initial order only to be told that to the dishes we requested were not ready for available. Cleanup having the Nashville hot chicken, which was way less hot than the side of Tabasco sauce we ordered, so that was disappointing. The fried green tomato with pimento cheese was actually pretty good, but to call it a stack is a really big stretch, a more appropriate description would be a 'BLT nibble.' The server was very gracious and apologetic so you gotta give them another shot.

This was my first visit to this Yardbird, but I have dined at the Las Vegas location in the Venetian several times. This one is street-level in the Beverly Center, smack on the corner of La Cienega and 3rd St. I always confuse the Yardbird chain with the Yard House chain. The former is Southern comfort food with 5 US locations, the latter is a much larger chain of restaurants/breweries that has a great happy hour. I actually just did pick-up here because I wanted to try a brunch item but had already had breakfast. The restaurant is designed exactly like the Vegas location, but has a lot of natural light flowing in, whereas Vegas is windowless and indoors. They have a small outdoor patio. Yardbird is famous for their fried chicken, which they serve in a variety of ways and is indeed delish. However, I wanted to try their shrimp and grits sunrise bowl. I love shrimp and grits, pretty much order it at any Southern place. I'm pretty sure the sunrise bowl is identical to the Big Easy Blackened shrimp and grits on the all-day menu, with the addition of 2 eggs. The bowl is $8 less, so surely has less shrimp. It ended up having 4 blackened shrimp with the cheesy grits, corn, sausage, peppers and eggs. The grits were on the firm/thick side, but everything was very tasty, even when eaten a few hours later. Had I eaten in, I would have also ordered the fried green tomatoes, another go-to for me. Yardbird gussies theirs up as a stack with pork belly, pimento cheese, tomato jam and frisee with lemon vinaigrette. I also love their spirit-free Back Porch Sippers, with sweet tea and flavoured lemonade served (if I remember correctly) in a mason jar. A great spot for Southern. One niggle--their restroom is tiny.

Yardbird is really underrated. The food is really good as well as the environment. It's on the ground floor of the Beverly Center. We decided to come here since we had never been and so glad we tried it. Angel was the sweetest hostess. She checked in with us periodically to make sure we were happy. Oscar was our waiter and he was really nice and accommodating.

I visited Yardbird for the first time as part of a party of three to celebrate Father's Day, and I left with mixed feelings. Let's start with parking. The restaurant is located at the Beverly Center and does not validate parking. The good news is that parking is relatively affordable at $1 per hour. Since I don't eat meat or chicken, I checked the menu online beforehand and found several options that looked appealing. Unfortunately, once we were seated, we were given a completely different menu. When I asked about it, our server, Lindsey, explained that the menu I had seen online isn't available until after 3 p.m. That was disappointing since I had already planned my meal. We started with the biscuits. They had a strong smoky flavor that honestly made me think they were baked with pork fat or in an oven used for barbecue. Lindsey assured me they weren't made with any meat fats, but the smoky flavor was definitely noticeable. I ordered the salmon with microgreens and a side of mac and cheese. My partner ordered the steak and eggs with hash browns, and we both enjoyed the mint mocktails--they were refreshing and one of the highlights of the meal. The salmon was cooked well and I enjoyed it. The mac and cheese, however, was a huge letdown. It arrived in a cute little cast-iron skillet on a butcher block, so the presentation was great, but the taste didn't match the appearance. It reminded me of boxed mac and cheese made with powdered cheese, topped with Parmesan just to create a crust. It was runny, lacked richness, and there wasn't even a hint of that satisfying cheese pull. Unfortunately, there were service issues as well. My partner specifically ordered his eggs over hard, but they weren't prepared that way. His hash browns never arrived at the table, and on the drive home he realized we had been charged for them. He intended to mention it before leaving but simply forgot. The biggest positive is the restaurant itself. It's beautiful, stylish, and has a great ambiance. Beyond that, though, I found the food to be average for the price. Even by Los Angeles standards, $42 for chicken and waffles feels excessive. Overall, Yardbird looks better than it tastes. While there were a few bright spots, the inconsistent service, menu confusion, and underwhelming food don't justify the price. Unfortunately, I don't see myself returning.

The atmosphere here is spot on: great music, beautiful decor, and the place is noticeably clean. From the kitchen's side, the food was timed perfectly. My boyfriend ordered a hot chicken sandwich and a bloody mary. I got fresh orange juice, steak, and eggs. Everything was cooked perfectly, but it seemed deliberately unseasoned, likely to cater to a wider range of tastes. I'll definitely need some hot sauce, salt, and pepper with that! The homemade honey hot sauce is a hit with us. However, the experience lacked a certain "human touch" on the service side. After our initial order, our server essentially disappeared. Sitting in a booth made it difficult to flag anyone down. The nice busser was the one who boxed my food. The rest of the staff seemed professional, but the wait staff coordination could use more warmth and attentiveness.

The food was delicious. The fried chicken meal felt a bit but overall the service and ambiance was nice. Will return!

We went to Yardbird for their happy hour. They have quite a few small bite options and some tasty drinks on their happy hour menu. Our server was really polite and checked in on us regularly. My favorite item has to be their Nashville chicken satay. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender and delicious on the inside. The seasoning in the sauce was subtle but yummy. I got their hot honey sauce on the side, and that paired very nicely with the crispy chicken. The lemon pepper chicken wings were honestly not super flavorful, but they were very hot and fresh which I appreciated. I really enjoyed the biscuit on the chicken biscuit dish, but the meat itself was pretty unremarkable. Portions were good for the price. All the items were freshly made and came out piping hot.

Although our waiter was very attentive and helpful, the service was a bit slow. It took quite a while to get our drinks and appetizers. The drinks were very tasty. I really enjoyed the blackberry lemonade cocktail and the peach bourbon cocktail. They come in sizable jars, so very fun. I ordered the St. Louis ribs. This dish does not come with a side, so I ordered crispy brussel sprouts on the side. I really liked the ribs. They were soft and had quite a bit of meat on them. It is a large serving, so I had plenty to take home for the next day. The brussel sprouts were okay, but a bit too sweet for me because they had a honey drizzle. I prefer a more savory taste for my brussel sprouts. I really liked the buttermilk biscuits that came with butter and an apple jam spread. I m still dreaming about those. The deviled eggs had a bit too much dill - it was a bit overpowering for my taste. This was a fun restaurant that I would love to go back to and have the biscuits again.

I just got finished with retail therapy and I wanted to grab something to eat. I ordered the Great American Wagyu burger w/truffle fries. I also ordered a southern peach cocktail. The burger was huge, I really liked the pickled veggies in the side. The fries were also really crispy. The cocktail was good too. The staff here is very nice. The place gets pretty busy though so expect to wait a lil bit for your food. Try it out if you like. :)

    Skillet Cornbread

I had an amazing experience at Yardbird! The cornbread arrives in its own mini skillet, warm, fluffy, and lightly kissed with jalapeño--absolutely delicious. The Shrimp and Grits were a standout. The textures and flavors blend perfectly, and the shrimp were big, fresh, and cooked just right. The protein bowl is a fantastic healthier choice and makes an awesome next-day lunch. I chatted with the table next to me, and they had one of the biggest burgers I've ever seen--the Wagyu Burger. Three patties, bacon, cheese, an egg, and who knows what else. The presentation was wild, and they said it tasted amazing. I'd recommend a reservation, but the restaurant is pretty spacious. Depending on the day, you might be able to walk right in. The vibe is trendy, casual, and lively. Just know you'll be sitting close to others--especially at the big shared table in the middle--so be ready for a fun, energetic atmosphere. Service - 5 Stars! The support staff was on point--attentive, polite, and detail-oriented. Our waitress, Habiba, was friendly, patient, and upbeat, even when we couldn't decide what to order. Parking - Located at the Beverly Center. It's paid parking ($6-$10 depending on how long you stay). There is valet, but they closed at 10:30 p.m. the night we went, so just plan your timing. NOTE - THE PORTIONS ARE HUGE!

I visited this location over the weekend after starving myself all day and from beginning to end it was just bad. We were seated near the window and it happened to be really windy and the window kept banging and knocking hitting me on the side of my arm. I stopped the blonde bald waitress and asked her if we could be moved because of it and she just stared at me with her jaw dropped? I got someone else's attention because she clearly wasn't interested in helping us. We were moved and finally got to order, I ordered the hot honey "JUMBO" wings, Mac & cheese & the dirty rice. "JUMBO" wings were small party wings & actually smaller than expected, they were grilled, not fried, very dry. Mac & cheese was dry and flavorless with a cheap cheese sauce. Dirty rice was an instant no! They definitely don't know what dirty rice is because this was nothing but Spanish rice with a fried egg on top & completely flavorless. Everything was disgusting and I'm honestly not even saying that to be mean. I can't believe how bad this place has become.

Oh, how I wish I could remember the name of the hostess who also was our server. It was a Sunday morning, 10:30 a.m. She reminded me of CoCo from SWV. Amazing human being. She was so kind, so thoughtful, and so personable. We wanted a quick meal prior to boarding our afternoon flight; we were in town for our anniversary and marked anniversary as the reason for our brunch visit. We were not expecting anything to highlight our 13 years of marriage, so imagine our surprise when our hostess told us happy anniversary, led us to a spacious booth, and presented us with a sign that said Happy Anniversary. Cute! The food was fresh and flavorful. We need a Yardbird in the SF Bay Area! The restaurant has a great bar area with TVs, so this is a good place to come with friends or watch a game. We tried the fried green tomatoes, deviled eggs, gravy train biscuit sandwich, and the macaroni and cheese breakfast skillet. Job well-done, Yardbird! Everything HIT. The deviled eggs? FIRE! Those fried green tomatoes? Crispy, not mushy, and perfect. My gravy train sandwich was filling, and excellent. The gravy was creamy, the egg was cooked the way I liked it, and the fried chicken reminded me of my dad. Basically, Yardbird took all of my Southern family favorite and elevated them. I'm a fan!

    Shrimp & Grits Sunrise Bowl

We enjoyed a lovely brunch at Yardbird! When we arrived, the hostess acknowledged our reservation and our preference for a booth, which she kindly accommodated. Our server came shortly after to take our drink order and offer some recommendations. My husband chose The Great American Wagyu Burger. I picked the Shrimp & Grits Sunrise Bowl. We then decided to add the Yardbird Cinnamon Roll to share. Our food came out quickly. Nice presentations, good portions and so, soooooo satisfyingly delicious!! The Shrimp & Grits were ah-mazing -- fluffy grits and tender shrimp accompanied by smoked sausage, roasted peppers and sweet corn, all topped with a perfect sunny-side egg. It's the best I've had. Ohhhh and that HUGE cinnamon roll -- I mean...c'mon...look at it -- YUM!! Service was great all around. Parking is available at the Beverly Center, but we found street parking just a short walk away. We will definitely be back!

The Lucky Tiki's take on the traditional 1944 Trader Vic Mai Tai is fantastic. Each Mai Tai comes with the Lucky Tiki swizzle stick and I happily kept the 3 we ordered to display in our home Tiki Bar. The wife ordered a second one while I took the waitress' recommendation and ordered The Maverick ("A Renegade of Rums, Cinnamon Syrup, White Grapefruit & Lime Juice, A Bold, Fiery, and Unapologetically Wild Ride, This Cocktail is for Those Who Live By Their Own Rules")...and coincidentally, this applies to me perfectly. The Maverick was awesome and came complete with a show of fire. We also ordered the Potstickers which were fantastic, especially dipped in their garlic teriyaki sauce. Wow! I wished we lived closer because I would hit this place A LOT. TIKI DAVE highly highly highly recommends THE LUCKY TIKI! I will be uploading video to my YouTube channel soon! Ive heard lots of great things and was super excited to try. Arrived around 9pm. We made a reservation which was great but wasn't super necessary for our Thursday evening, but the bartender told us that some nights get packed. So definitely make one during those busy times. The drinks were fun, sweet and refreshing. I love kitschy behavior so I fell in love with the Elvis and Jim morrison cocktails. We grabbed food from the shop downstairs and it was delivered right to us. We got a combo plate where we get to choose a variety of items. It was super delicious and paired perfectly with our drinks. Custimer service was great too! We spent most of the time chit chatting with the bartender who was super nice and knowledgable about all of the drinks and the lore of this place. Loved my time at the Lucky tiki! Super fun speakeasy vibes and great drinks!

The place is so cool and oh, so fun! The Aviator is a magnificently decorated and themed airplane bar which has a first class and coach section seats that are exactly like being on a real airplane along with seat belts, trays and movable arm chairs and a Flight Attendant bell to request service! Food: we were treated to fries which were delicious! The Aviator offers a nice appetizer menu along with specialty drinks themed to the bar. We ordered Aperol Spritzes and they were delicious and refreshing! All reasonably priced too, yay! They have "cart" service too which added to the airplane themed experience! Service: Splendid! The Bartender and Flight Attendant were attentive and friendly! My friend and I had a blast of fun and plan to visit again soon! If you haven't been to The Aviator yet, plan to do so! You'll be glad you did!

Parking can be a little challenging, but valet service is available if you prefer the convenience. The seating is outdoors, so I'd recommend bringing a jacket or sweater, especially in the evening. The outdoor space is still beautiful, but , unfortunately the LOUD music ruins the ambiance. People have to scream to hear their table mates. So we asked to be transferred indoors. Music still loud but less people screaming. the indoor space has been poorly maintained, floors are worn out, everything looks, well, old. Food: fried calamari... well cooked, tender, totally flavorless. Caesar Salad with chicken... VERY little dressing (we had to request more as well as salt and pepper, the chicken... dry as cardboard. The only good thing about this experience was the attentive waitress, unfortunately I didn't ask her name. What a disappointment!
