We love this place! Our absolute favorite restaurant! The food is amazing and everything tastes like grandma's cooking. It's so comfortable and inviting. They always have great music on and the service is always excellent.

... I'm guessing he was a chef. Sees my empty bowl and says "... you killed it. Extra shrimp and all. Wha'cha gunna do now? Nothing you eat from now on will have flavor like that. Wha'cha gunna do? Everything you eat just gunna make you sad. I guess we'll see you tomorrow." ... prolly not tomorrow but I'll definitely be back.

Off the beaten track, but fabulous food. Might be the best shrimp and grits I ever ate! I enjoyed a very large sweet tea with it. the place is not fancy, but the staff is friendly and the food was amazing.

I came here on a 12:30 on a Saturday and was able to get seated immediately. The venue is pretty small and I ended up parking in a lot across the street. It really feels like a hidden gem. It really feels like stepping into a mom and pop shop. I wanted to order a chicken jambalaya but it wasn't available so I ordered the crawfish jambalaya instead. I also subbed in dirty rice. The food took 10 minutes to arrive and it ended up up having chicken, sausage, and crawfish. I normally don't eat crawfish but this was delicious. I was scared for a second that I would have to peel it myself but thankfully everything was peeled. The garlic bread was good and so was the dirty rice. I ordered level 3 spice and I think it was perfect. I feel like I could do a 4 but the spice builds up over time. This was pretty good comfort food.

I enjoyed the heavenly jambalaya I ordered yesterday. Authentic flavor, delightful taste. Rice cooked properly. Lots of chicken and sausage. My main complaint is that I paid an extra $9 for shrimp and crawfish. There were literally 4 shrimps, maybe 5. They were fresh tasting, but severely lacking. Then there's the lack of crawfish. No decent sized crawfish, they were literally 1/2" long! Little portions! So the seafood was very disappointing. The peach cobbler came out piping hot and was exquisite. Overall positive and I'll be coming back again.

Loved everything about Lee Esther's Creole and Cajun. Top service. Ordered the macaroni and cheese crab balls and fish dish. Extraordinary flavoring. Can't stop thinking about how good my lunch was! The customer dining next to me said she's from New Orleans and this food is the real deal. Highest recommendation.

Came to Lancaster from LA with the sole purpose of trying this place. Service was amazing, our waitress was this gorgeous black girl with eyelash extensions who was a sweetheart. The lady at the cash register was also very sweet. Funny enough the other customers inside the restaurant were also a great vibe. This was my first time trying shrimp po boy, and it was amazing. Bro don't even get me started on the yams they were so good. The vibes inside the restaurant were also great. My friend and I will definitely be back to try the Jambalaya.

Boudin Balls - always have to stop by when I am in Palmdale
    Candace B.

This place is nostalgic for me. It takes me back to those summers in the south. Good food. Family. Good company. Boudin is actually my favorite thing. When I was a youth, we could only have a little portion of the link my grandfather would personally buy and bring from Louisiana until he learned how to make it himself. He has been gone for 20 plus years now and Boudin is not sold in your family grocery store and hard to find so when you find someone who can make it, you stop in and patronize every chance you get. I have enjoyed their other dishes but these Boudin balls are good when I cant get the links! I will be back again, next time I am out that way.

The best creole and Cajun cooking I've had in southern CA. I tried the Louisiana Cajun Bowl and Crawfish Jambalaya and both were AMAZING! I wish this place was closer to my home in the South Bay Area but when in Palmdale, this is one of my favorite places!

Do they still have chicken and waffles special? I hope they bring it back again By the way the food here is delicious I've been here more than once and my family loves it too

But hell all the damn way to the MF nah, can I not warn people away from this place...they double charged us $140 for an incomplete and inedible order that took almost two hours to get. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE EAT HERE, YOU ARE BETTER OFF AT A GAS STATION. Save your money. Options to consider instead: -A Costco hot dog ($1.50 w/ a drink vs $71 no drink) -Develop the ability to photosynthesize. -A well preserved cigarette on the sidewalk. -Gift a meal from this place to an enemy. I know the wait I'm in for with soulfood and I don't mind paying what's asked. I could go in about how I placed my order at 4:45 and did not walk out with my food until 6:30 because there was only one cook with mask hanging down, or how my order was still so incomplete that I was chased down to be handed lukewarm green beans and when I got home not one order had cornbread, or how the jambalaya was just tomato marinara weirdness and everything was blander than that Taylor Swift cover of Earth Wind & Fire, or how I saw store bought pies in their tins thrown on the stove. But what really matters is that I feel the need to at least got to the BBB site because this establishment is either disorganized to the point of reckless billing or just straight up thieving money. They should be ashamed to represent our community in ANY professional capacity. I selected the option to pay in cash through the app, but I didn't know it charged our cc from the grubhub account immediately. So when I arrived, I went to pay and the man pulled up my order and read it off exactly. Had to change the order because they were out of what I selected in app, so with the total change, I pay $70+ with a $100 and he's short change and promises to give me my $4 later. Wasn't a problem...until it was 6:00 and I still have no food or change and the man asks ME what one of the meals I ordered was. Um sir? Is it not on the ticket??? All that was on the 11th. Cut to today, theres a grubhub charge posted as of the 13th. I figured yelp glitched with grubhub somehow, because I selected cash and had to pay when went so I called grubhub. Grubhub refunded me immediately because it turns out even though I selected cash it charged my cc immediately and came through to the restaurant as PAID. This man went through my whole order and everything on a PAID TICKET and let me hand over cash. I even asked grubhub if the order would have come to them paid because of my selecting cash and she said YES, IT STILL WOULD HAVE SHOWN PAID. $140?! And I didn't even get the cornbread?!?! Never in my whole black like have I experienced blasphemy to this extent. What are yall a bank? I was so hot by the time I left I didn't even remember my $4. That's a dollar away from $5! It's a pandemic, people getting thrown to the streets and yall wanna scam people?! The desperation. Don't have a business you can't afford to manage properly, honestly. it was a hard day, my pregnant self was laying concrete and I just wanted to treat my family to some good food. I was so emotional about this at first I didnt want to post in anger. But today having to be refunded after finding out they knew I already paid was it. No one has time for these kind of shenanigans.

So here's my good and not so good. Good: the service here is amazing, friendly attentive and I watched every dine in customer receive extraordinary care. The portion sizes are huge and the whole restaurant felt like you were in someone's own kitchen on a weekend morning with all of the right smells in the air for a great brunch. Here's the not so good: it took 4 minutes shy of an hour to get lunch for 2 (2 order of chicken tenders, side of red beans and rice and an order of hush puppies ) prepared. Although the booths were full, most of the tables had their food, so it didn't appear to be a lot of tickets stacked up. When my order was finally delivered, and I took the10 minute drive back home, I opened the bag to fund 3 brown paper bags, wet, soggy and soaking in grease. Because the food hadn't been allowed to cool a bit and it was placed in a plastic bag with no way to vent out steam, every item was soggy and falling apart. The fries were wet and soggy, the chicken had all of the dry coat falling off and most the seasoning was pulled off of the batter that was left because of the water and steam. Additionally, the red beans and rice were so wet, they were almost soup. One of the orders had potato salad as a side, but to received overcooked soggy fries instead. The hush puppies were way over cooked, they had passed the golden brown cook level and were a black brown color and were sort of flavorless and really soggy from the heat of the plastic bag. I'm sure that most of this could have been avoided if I hadn't placed a to go order. But I'm leaving this review so that when you order from this little gem, you consider dining in or asking for the foot with plenty of lead time so that they don't rush, improperly pack the food for transit (let it cool off a bit) and have the time to make sure the order is correct, and cooked to a standard that best represents the business. Pomona needs Day-Days as a locally owned, black owned soul food restaurant. Switching from plastic to paper bags and giving the food time to vent will go a long way with quality for the customer. In the end the food tasked good, I'm sure was prepared with love, but fell flat on the delivery. All of that said, patronize this restaurant!!!!
