This is small quaint bakery/restaurant. The store front is split into two sections, one side is the restaurant and the other is a bakery and kitchen with a few seatings. The bakery section is also where you order to go. The ladies working there are very nice. Disappointed that they didn't have any ice cream or fruits available from their menu. Here's what I ordered and my thoughts on it: Chicken and beef empanadas $2.90 each The shell is harder and the inside is filled with meat and mashed up potatoes. It came with two sauces. One mild and one was spicy. The shell had a much harder exterior than most empanadas and the filling tasted well seasoned and I enjoyed it. Chorizo $6 this come with one piece of chorizo and a piece of yuca frita. Very delicious and not overly salty. Tamal Tolimense Tolima Region Tamale $16.00 This was supposed to be star of the meal. Very disappointed that the meat in it was very dry and not flavorful. The masa on the other hand was soft and flavorful. The meat tasted like left over meat that was boiled. Definitely not recommending this dish. Tre leche $6 This cake was delicious. Definitely on the sweeter side. The highlight of this place is the chorizo and the empanadas. Would come back and try the breakfast platters. SB: they do charge more if you use card.

Great Colombian cafe. Really small shop and will be easily missed because of the location. I have only had their snacks and they all are really good. The service is efficient.

This place is disgusting and a complete ripoff. I ordered the arepas with chorizo and Chicharron. The arepa had no flavor, the guacamole was so salty , chicharron was stale, and the chorizo was okay. To top it off there was a hair on my plate. I throw everything out and yet they want to charge $15&$18 for this garbage. I would not recommend this place. Also, notice the price difference between Uber eats and what was charged when I called in the order for a pickup. Presentation was just thrown together. Places like this are really bring down the neighborhood.

I'm so happy to have found a Colombian restaurant in Bayridge. I've ordered from this restaurant through Uber eats before and they were outstanding. Everything was very authentic and delicious. I had breakfast Their chorizo, huevos pericos and pan de bono were really good Their coffee was not bad at all very good. Will be returning for more :)

Solid Colombian food with generous portions. Bistec a Caballo is delicious and enough for 2 people. Tasty empanadas as well.

Ordered from here on a whim and I'm beyond happy I did!…read more What a flavor bomb every bite was. Wow. Ordered the rotisserie chicken with garlic sauce and got it with yellow rice and tostones. (9 out of 10) Also tried the empanada sampler which came with four empanadas of my choosing and tried the Beef, shrimp, chicken, and birria. (8 out of 10) I mean this sincerely... everything was beyond flavorful. The rotisserie garlic chicken had to be my favorite bite of the night but each empanada included in the sampler was crispy, tender, and decadent; each one leaving its own individual mark. Seriously blown away and might even had to stop in to try the food at the restaurant next time. Can't wait to see order from here again!

Service: Good. Got checked on regularly by friendly staff:…read more Ambiance: loud, colorful, probably a good fit for a loud drunk brunch vibe. A lot of seating and a back area with fans. Food: This place is quite bad. We ordered the tortilla soup and the vegan tofu chimichurri. The tortilla soup was inedible it was so salty. The tofu was grilled and entirely burnt on the bottom. I had to slice the entire bottom off. The chimichurri sauce was flavorful. The yellow rice side seemed like bagged instant rice. The maduros were good. Did not try the alcohol but they had a large selection including non alcoholic options. The place adds a 20% auto gratuity fee. Kind of absurd on a 2 person check. I am Latina so perhaps I have a higher expectation for Latin food but I'm perplexed at how this place could have such high ratings, perhaps it was just a bad night. I would never go back and would not recommend.

The atmosphere is amazing -- such an amazing vibe, welcoming, and filled with positive energy. The staff is super friendly, professional, and always makes you feel at home. Everything is incredibly delicious, fresh, and clean. My personal favorites are the obvious winners: chicken wings, paella, ceviche, guacamole, tuna aguachile, chicken chuzo, and so much more... My son asks to go there at least once a week just for his favorite chicken chuzo with French fries! It's also super kid-friendly, which makes the experience even better. Let's break it down:…read moreDefinition: "Chuzo is a brochette or skewer of marinated, grilled meat with bold seasonings, classic sides, and the unmistakable flavor of Colombian street food." "Bar" well we all know what that means, "vamos, vamos, vamos!" Since my first visit last year, I was hungry for more deliciousness and decided to go with Yelpie friend, Sharon for brunch. Bar Chuzo has the restaurant and bar attachment which is where we dined. I happen to like the bar room for dining, it's charming and quieter for a Sunday brunch. Bar Chuzo offers really nice Brunch selections from ceviche, salchipapas, tuna, steak and apps from delicious fries, calamari, crab, plantain chips, croquettes and so much more. Here's what we ordered: Apps- Plantain chips( dinamita !) with a side of salsa verde. Yuca Croquettes with Yuca, Chihuahua cheese, and uchucuta sauce( green herb chile sauce with nuts) Dinamita number two! Two different brunch menus, Menu 1 offers apps, sides, entrees, cocktails and desserts. Menu 2: Bottomless Brunch for 90 minutes choice of Margaritas for $35 or Mimosas for $30. Mains: Crab cake Benedict consists of sunny side up egg, crab cake, potato cake, uchucuta hollandaise sauce, crostini and Chuzo salad. Sharon enjoyed it very much.Dinamita number three. Chicken Chuzo: Brasa marinated chicken skewers, Andes Ecuadorian corn, yuca croquettes. There are two skewers with three pieces of chicken on each, scrumptious, loved the taste of the chicken, the croquettes ( yuca again) nice accompaniment and the corn was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend! Dinamita number four. Cocktail: Mango peach sangria hit the spot! Service: Gabriella is a great, professional and accommodating server. Absolutely wonderful and knows her stuff! Dinamita number five. There are delicious desserts as well but too full. The portions are generous and this meal for me was lunch/dinner. The vibe here is chill with Latin music seeping into your veins. 'Mis felicitaciones al personal!' ( my compliments to the staff).
