Service: Good. Got checked on regularly by friendly staff: Ambiance: loud, colorful, probably a good fit for a loud drunk brunch vibe. A lot of seating and a back area with fans. Food: This place is quite bad. We ordered the tortilla soup and the vegan tofu chimichurri. The tortilla soup was inedible it was so salty. The tofu was grilled and entirely burnt on the bottom. I had to slice the entire bottom off. The chimichurri sauce was flavorful. The yellow rice side seemed like bagged instant rice. The maduros were good. Did not try the alcohol but they had a large selection including non alcoholic options. The place adds a 20% auto gratuity fee. Kind of absurd on a 2 person check. I am Latina so perhaps I have a higher expectation for Latin food but I'm perplexed at how this place could have such high ratings, perhaps it was just a bad night. Went with a group after we had a tour of the Greenwood Cemetery. We had our own room bring it was 50 women. The service was excellent, the ambiance was true to culture. We started off with a dip sampler along with homemade chips. The dips were freshly made and tasted delicious. Afterwards we had an avocado salad and Platanos Rellenos The main course was yellow rice, black beans. This was served with veggie tacos, Ropa Vieja ( shredded beef) and Plantain Crusted Chicken. Everything was served family style and more than enough food per table. For dessert we had Churros that you can dip in chocolate or caramel sauce. Everything was delicious. read more

The mural on the wall is so beautiful and all the art is very fun to look at. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We came here with our daughter for brunch and all the food was really delicious. All of the Colombian food on the menu looks tasty! It's wasn't really busy and they had a lot of seating inside. I would definitely recommend the spot! read more

The food is impressively delicious... save yourself the trip to Colombia, Bogota is right here in Brooklyn. The food is well seasoned, prepared and plated. Service is above average the entire staff are welcoming and accommodating. Waitstaff is very menu knowledgeable and willing to assist with dietary needs. As much care and concern went into decorating as it did with the menu. Colombian pride is on full display from curb appeal to the restrooms. There's a special through September for $3 empanadas and $5 select cocktails -- makes for a perfect casual night out. The empanadas were bigger than I expected and I appreciated the variety of options. My favorite was the chicken -- the wrapper was super crisp and paired with the different salsas, the savory, textured bite was the perfect accompaniment for my frozen marg and pina colada! The cocktails were also delicious, albeit a twinge sweeter than I'd like. Would happily come back though to try more items! Had a family Valentine's Day brunch here and it was delicious! The wait staff was friendly and accommodating. 5he place is casual and has nice Columbian decor. We made reservations but they are not required. We stayed almost 2 hours and were not rushed. We were 5 and ordered two arepa avocado toasts, steak and eggs with an additional order to go,, another arepa dish and chicharrones with fries. We each had a cocktail and they were perfect. Ordered from here on a whim and I'm beyond happy I did! What a flavor bomb every bite was. Wow. Ordered the rotisserie chicken with garlic sauce and got it with yellow rice and tostones. (9 out of 10) Also tried the empanada sampler which came with four empanadas of my choosing and tried the Beef, shrimp, chicken, and birria. (8 out of 10) I mean this sincerely... everything was beyond flavorful. The rotisserie garlic chicken had to be my favorite bite of the night but each empanada included in the sampler was crispy, tender, and decadent; each one leaving its own individual mark. Seriously blown away and might even had to stop in to try the food at the restaurant next time. Can't wait to see order from here again! read more

Found myself here on a late Sunday night, I was just glad something was open after my super late train ride. The drink was pretty stellar. It was sweet and fun. This felt like the kind of place where any of the drinks you order would've been great, so try which ever one sounds good to you. The arroz con pollo was a loaded plate of food, yet so balanced! Angel was our server and was INCREDIBLE! Miguel at the bar is a legend there and helped our 6 top party settle in. The red sangria is my absolute favorite, recipe has stayed consistent for the 20 or so years the establishment has been open. The lunch special was a great deal an appetizer and entree some with an upsell. We went with the salad, beef empanada, fish tacos and ropa vieja with black beans and rice. And we ordered the cocktail special the lychee martini . I took off a star since normally service is great but our server today was abrupt and rushing us. I barely sat down and came by twice asking if we were ready to order. Maybe he was going in break but literally 4 tables were seated. I mixed the stew with the rice and found so much happiness in each bite. The house salad and dressing were also on point. My friends and I also enjoyed Chips & Guac, Empanada Sampler, and Tostados - everything was tasty! I washed it down with the Frozen Mojito, which also brought me so much joy! This is always a great go to spot for lunch. They have a great lunch special that is affordable a filling. I recommend the pernil and the red beans. It had the right amount of seasoning and was a large portion. For dessert, I indulged in the guava and cheese empanadas. It was so tasty and sweet. Such a great spot for dinner! If you're craving latin food, make sure to come here. The food does not disappoint. The menu offers a wide latin menu particularly Colombian food. Came here for dinner with a group of 6 on a weekday night and we were seated right away. The vibes are chill and the interior decor makes you feel as if you're eating out on a little getaway. We all ordered platters and the portions were big. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. The steak was delicious. Rotisserie chicken was seasoned well and juicy. Grilled chicken was flavorful. I came here for my cousins birthday dinner and we came here last minute however we ended up having a good time. We sat in the back patio which was spacious and heated which is great for cold temps. The only thing was when the heat kicks on its loud real loud which was disruptive. The music wasn't to loud as it allowed us to be able to have great conversation as a large party. The drinks were all good strong and came fast we all got different drinks but enjoyed each one. We got a few different apps some empanadas that were good the guava and cheese was a nice surprise I made everyone try it they liked it also. I overlooked a delivery of chicken tortilla soup with a broth that had reduced to a salt bomb and contained dry stringy tasteless chicken, and an order of ribs that were 80% fat and gristle. My friends convinced me to try once again in house. I was looking forward to my favorite, "Daisy eggs," which arrived without the red sauce and a yolk the texture of hard grit. The salad was spoiled by swimming in a sea of overly sweet dressing. Service: Yikes! When I went one afternoon for a snack at the bar the place was empty. The bartender said not a word but wandered off for 15 minutes leaving me alone. I walked out. When my friends and I went for brunch we asked for extra chipotle sauce. We never got it. I pointed out that my eggs arrived without sauce and he brought over the menu and pointed out that the eggs come with sauce (which I did not get). There is a mandatory 20% tip added to the bill, so I guess servers just might not care about service. read more

The place feels small when you walk through the bar, but they have plenty of seating options, and the energy is vibrant. The music really adds to the atmosphere, making it a fun spot to hang out. The staff was friendly and accommodating when we asked to be seated inside. Our waitress was nice, but we did have to flag her down a few times since she didn't check in on us as often as we'd like. We stuck to appetizers and drinks, and I have to say, the guava and cheese empanadas and tortilla soup were standouts, definitely 10/10 recommend! The rest of the food was just okay. I went a bit side ways and tried all new things today. *plantain fried chicken (and you can pick 2 sides) with coconut rice (it does come with coconut flakes and raisins) and red beans (pork chucks). Let me start off and say I am regular at Bogota. The vibes, music, and drinks here are always good. Super friendly staff. Came here on a Wednesday night it was not packed. We were immediately seated. Love the décor of this restaurant. Really feels like you are in Columbia. We ordered appetizers along with alcoholic beverages that were on the happy hour menu. We ordered the chicharrones de pollo and the grill street corn. The chicharrones were ok, it tasted a little bland. It could have used some more seasoning. The chicken is served with a cilantro tartar sauce and aji. Now, moving on to the grilled street corn, we did not enjoy it. The corn did not taste grilled. It was covered up in so much mayo and cheese. We wind up not eating the corn after we tried it. For our main course, we ordered garlic rotisserie chicken with a side of white rice and beans. We ordered the shredded pork. The chicken was dry inside. The white rice and beans were good. Now, onto the shredded pork, this had to be my least favorite out of all the things we ordered. The pork was served with so much of that marinated Colombian beer. It was overpowering the flavors of the pork itself. We told our waiter we did not like it, and they replaced the meal with rotisserie chicken with a side of white rice and green plantains. That chicken, too, was dried. "I normally enjoy all the meals I've eaten here, but not on this particular day we went." Honestly, the only thing we enjoyed was our drinks. The corona and strawberry margarita was hitting but not the food. I'm basing this review on my recent visit, not in general. I have enjoyed their food in the times I've been.
