Their model of doing whatever we need and mixing with what other contractors we use is great; we for example purchased a quartzite slab for the kitchen and Rock N Block did the rest. The prices were very reasonable as well, and looking at the end product I think it was a great deal. The rest of the team, Alexis and Jose, did a great job keeping us updated and keeping our property clean. I'm not sure who the guys were that did the counter build, I think it was someone and his two adult kids, but they did an incredible job and it seemed like they took the time to do quality work. The rest of the project ran into some difficulty with the electrical hookup and gas move, but Jose still got the work done on time and worked well with our countertop fabricator to coordinate what they needed and when to install Overall went really well and would recommend them for any sort of hardscape project.

Here is how it went down: 06-29-2026 09:58 AM Mike from Evo Turf came out to my house. He said he would send an estimate by the end of the day. 07-01-2026 06:57 AM I emailed and texted them, "Hello Mike. You stopped at my house a few days ago. I haven't seen an estimate come through yet. Did you email one? " 07-06-2026 08:52 AM I called the office and left a voice mail. 07-06-2026 9:16 AM I got a text: "Hey there! It's Mike from Evo Turf&Pavers. Sorry I missed your call. I'll get back to you ASAP!" 07-08-2026 10:08 AM I got a text: "Hi good morning. Sorry I'll be back in town tomorrow." 08-10-2026 08:18 PM A month later and I have heard nothing. I don't usually chase people to give them my money. So now I will start over, with someone new. I don't know if my job was too small for them, or they are too busy, or they are just incompetent and lack systems and follow up. None of it is an excuse for how I was treated, and the time that was wasted. Evo Turf needs to rename itself to "Never Turf". That would be much more accurate. Hey, "Ev-OH NO! Turf", save the apology, and the request for a phone call to explain things and make it right. You are fired. Get a CRM with a follow up system, make sure the manager is on top of the salespeople. If you can't use a basic CRM, fire everyone and start over. As a matter of fact, the owners should fire themselves. You should not be operating a business. A lemonade stand maybe, a proper business, no. If you want to write me a check for the time I wasted, at my hourly rate, I estimate $1,000 will cover it. You have my address.

Really torn on this review but I'm going to give you all the no bs assessment. Nash is a stand up…read moreguy. He honored a quote from several months prior, probably when nobody else would. He came out in a timely manner and scheduled us for install within a week. It was well over 100 degrees on the two days when our turf was installed. The install crew worked hard and got everything done (about 1,000 square feet) in two days. I did see cigarette butts and leftover trash in the yard after they left. The install looked decent at first. When I really got to look at it, there were two visible horizontal seams running the width of the turf. Nash sent the workers back out and they attempted to tidy up the seams, but ultimately told us the turf was shorter so we would see seams. We looked again, and there was about a half inch gap in one of the seams near a corner in the yard. They again came out and cut a new piece and fixed it, kind of. The more I walk around and looked at the job, I've noticed there are significant lumps and the surface is kind of rolling instead of flat. We had guests over and they even commented how our turf wasn't flat like other installs. Around the edges, the compaction was poor and the turf nails come up out of the ground with no retention at all. This causes the edge of the turf to lift up. We emailed Nash a third time but never heard back about this issue. It was a safety hazard with guests coming over so we purchased additional nails and fixed a portion of the issue. The more I researched turf install, I realized I don't believe they installed our turf with seam tape, glue, or any form of adhesive or joining. I've seen short turf and putting greens without any visible seams, so I don't understand why that would be an excuse. Overall, Nash was an upstanding guy who was respectful of our time. His pricing was average, and wasn't on the high or low end of the estimates we received. I don't believe any of the above issues were related to him, but the persons he hired to do the job. I was a bit surprised when we didn't hear anything from him when the job was complete, and he didn't stop by to inspect the work. I'm torn on this review because, like I said, I don't think it was his fault but the people he contracts with for the installs. I feel like we paid a lot of money for a lower end install, which is really disappointing and really still doesn't sit right with me.

He went out of his way to get a water pump and set it up for us. He didn't have to do it, but he still did as he is a very caring individual. Professionalism at its best. The results speak for itself. I can't wait to have another project or refer Ecograss to a friend. All his team was extremely professional and worked their butts off. Michael's bid was well within my budget, and he was able to schedule the job for a time that was convenient for me. He also offered clear explanations about why the work would best be done a certain way. When it came to the work itself, his crew was outstanding. They arrived on time, kept on schedule, and cleaned up the site at the end of every work day. I have never seen such an organized, well managed job site. They were truly exemplary in all respects, but especially in regards to the quality of their work. When it comes time to replace my fence, my patio cover, or my driveway, I will definitely call Michael.

In fact, his proposal included everything needed to properly prepare and establish a healthy lawn, while other estimates we received were significantly more expensive and included less. Michael recommended St. Augustine grass because we have a large dog, and within a week, his team was ready to start the project. He explained the entire process ahead of time and gave me detailed guidance about the watering schedule, mowing schedule, and recommended equipment for maintaining the new lawn. The crew was amazing--efficient, professional, polite, and extremely hardworking. Carlos, the crew lead, was especially impressive. He is calm, knowledgeable, and very detail-oriented. He listened carefully to every concern I had and made sure everything was addressed properly. The project was completed ahead of schedule, and they even installed a fence that we provided to protect the new lawn from foot traffic and our dog while it gets established. The finished lawn looks absolutely beautiful. The new sprinkler system is quiet, efficient, and works perfectly. They used new, quality materials and clearly did not cut corners anywhere in the project. After comparing several companies and estimates, I am very happy that we chose Pacific Landscaping and Maintenance. We received a better, more complete project at a very competitive price. Emilio was by far the most helpful with design, didn't try to oversell, was priced competitively and genuinely wanted to help. Emilio was onsite for the entire demo & install and is a perfectionist. We used Cali Turf for both side lawns & the front lawn. People stop and ask us who did the work because it looks so great. The owner, Emilio, is so detail oriented & has trained his crew to do the same. We couldn't be happier & Oh by the way...our water bill went down significantly. Sam (co-owner) scheduled a visit to see my yard, and consult with me on options and suggestions on everything from what turf he suggested, to what direction to lay the turf to optimize the viewing angles, to taking questions from me on what kind of base and equipment he would use and the warranty on the work (5 years). Requested a spec sheet of the turfs to pick from and ran the one I liked through AI to see how good it was and it came back better graded than the ones offered by other installers I was talking to. 2. Quoting happened right afterwards and the price came in competitive so I signed. Scheduling of the work was swift and I was able to get on their docket within 1-2 weeks. 3. Day of - guys came on-time and got to work immediately. They demoed it all within a short 30-45 mins. Then waited for the turf to get delivered and spent a good hour treating the turf and preparing it to be laid down. Then the base materials came and crushed it as I had expected with a plate compactor.
