Called Bluffton auto body and was told that they would try to help if we got there before they closed. The team secured the bumper and repositioned a loose light. Taped it securely for her in just a few minutes. The owner declined any payment for this swift and generous service to someone from out of state. Incidentally the shop looked like a top notch place. Clean and spacious. I would definitely use them again if needed.

I pointed out the wires hanging and they were just tucked back in by hand. Just to fall out when I drove off. So based on that I went supermarket shopping only to learn that the trunk won't close that was rear ended. So the car then needed to be towed back here. Communication was not the best and I would call to get information constantly. Since parts had to be ordered and the car was a year old the process took seven weeks. All the while no communication and they have my vehicle sitting outside in the back of the building. When it was ready they called and I left my rental there to get picked up. Only to later find out the trunk still did not close. So I have to bring it back and they said it will be awhile. Well since I no longer had a rental I had to wait. Thankfully it was only a couple hours not a half a day. The accident was bad but this place doing the repair just added to my pain and aggravation. The only positive is they worked with the insurance company to get paid.

Advanced Collision…read moreof 216 Mead Road, Hardeeville, SC was the authorized repair shop for the Toyota recall process. On October 12, 2021 the vehicle was brought into Advanced Collision for a 2500 PSI power wash which uncovered paint issues on virtually every metal panel on the vehicle. A report was sent to Stokes Toyota which submitted it to the manufacturer for approval. Approval can take up to two weeks, but was received in about ten days. Upon approval, Stokes notified Advanced Collision and we were scheduled as soon as possible and our vehicle was dropped off on November 19, 2021. We were told by both Stokes and Advanced that the process which involved removing all trim, glass, and other hardware items, then stripping every metal surface to bare metal, re-priming, and repainting up to 3 coats of paint. Any parts removed during the process had to be (replaced if broken) reassembled to the vehicle. This entire process typically took six weeks, sometimes longer if there were supply chain problems for replacement parts. Our vehicle was returned to us on December 9, 2021, just under 3 weeks which included the Thanksgiving Holiday. Advanced Collision did an outstanding job! It was like receiving a brand-new car every detail was perfect including the pin-striping! In addition, Advanced gave us two travel mugs filled with hot chocolate mix and Christmas candy! The folks at Advanced were extremely pleasant and kept us informed at every step in the process. We received a 24-hour notice that our vehicle as painted and being "reassembled" and would be ready the next day. My wife and I were extremely impressed with the entire process and highly recommend the folks at Advanced Collision for your every auto body job!
