I've come here twice now. First time the car was totaled, so I couldn't really rate their work. This time it was a "fender-bender", so I can. We have the car back already, and they seemed to have done a good job. It was really very minor, but in repairing the rear bumper they had to remove it and so also were able to verify that the structure underneath was not damaged. I came here because my insurance prefers them, but I would come here anyway. The only other shop I've found that I like is T&S, who also do a great job. Chandler is a bit closer to us, though, and as good as T&S. read more

First off I must say that my experience with chandler auto body was pleasant from the time the telephone was answered when I was inquiring about my door handle being replaced on my 2012 kia, I was advised to bring my automobile down first thing Monday morning, I was greeted by the general manager Addison Gamo, super nice guy, he advised me that Kia upgraded there handles cuz they were known for breaking, so at that time I was gave some options to switch the whole thing out or let his professionals shave alittle of the new part and it would be most cost effective, I took his advise and boy did he deliver got a call 2 hours later to pick up the truck not only did it work correct he even detailed the truck!!!!! My car sustained some body damage and a lot of paint damage due to glass that flew out of the back of somebody's truck on the freeway. I took my car to Chandler Auto Body for the first time and was very impressed from the moment I walked into the door to the moment I picked my car up. I got my CX9 side and back panel repainted due to collision. Painting was good, but it took them more than 3 weeks to finish the simple task. They also left tons of some kind of goo inside car latch that took a long time to remove. the remnant of the this substance still makes my hatch to be sticky and can only be opened manually (not by remote or control button under dash board). read more

I have an older than dirt 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited that the window on the left rear passenger door had come down and I couldn't get it to stay up. Since no one rides back there anyway I told Scott I just get it to stay up, and that that would be fine. They quoted me a price over the phone, and I brought it in. They stuck to their quote, did the work in a couple of hours. I give that part of their service 5 stars. Now for the unsettling part. When I got there a gentleman came out who I later found out was the owner, and without identifying himself pretty much demanded my keys saying he had an appointment to go to. My son was with me to give me a ride home, and was watching the whole thing. I gave him the keys and we drove home. I called and told Scott what had happened, and that's when I learned that the man in question was the owner. I should have never given the gentleman my keys, how stupid of me! ***Terrible experience*** I regret taking my vehicle here. After getting rear-ended in January I called around to see who could get me in the soonest for my car repairs. Caliber was able to get me in within a couple of weeks and promised a stress free and professional experience. Since then it has been awful, tomorrow is the first day of April and I still do not have my car. My initial quote had the car being completed by the end of February, latest. After not hearing anything from the repair facility I had to call in and found out the service manager in charge of my car was no longer with the company. I am then told my car will only be another week at most. Then after another 2 weeks of being told my car was waiting on a specialist my insurance rental coverage ran out and Caliber agreed to take over the payments for the rental. A week later they tell me that somehow the wiring harness was ruined and needed to be replaced? Oh and it was on back order for 2-3 weeks. Also since Caliber cant control backordered parts they cannot pay for the rental any longer. I am not sure how the wiring harness was impacted but at best Caliber failed to diagnose this issue for months. I believe they may have damaged the harness during repair and now not backing their workmanship or quality. With so many repair shops to chose from I would not go with Caliber in the future. read more

We were going to pass my Mother's Toyota Avalon on to my middle daughter (who lives in Mesa) after my mother passed away but were keeping it till the house sold so my brother could use it when he came to town from Amarillo to wrap up our parents' living trust. A couple of days before he was to turn it over to her he was backing out of the garage and forgot he had the driver's door open a little. Before he could stop, CRUNCH--the door caught on the side of the garage on the way out and it crumpled the door panel and part of the front left panel. He was so mad, especially since our parents took such good care of their cars and other possessions that it looked like new in spite of being 11 years old. He spent the better part of the morning making phone calls, arranging for insurance coverage and locating this place to do the repairs, Then we had to break the news to my daughter, who was greatly looking forward to getting such a nice car, that she wouldn't get it when she thought. Chandler Auto Body did a GREAT job of repairing it--when they got done you could not tell anything had ever happened to it. They were extremely nice to work with and put a guarantee on their work if there were any problems in the future. When we got it back we passed it on to her and she has made several trips to San Diego to visit me in it. I definitely recommend this place to others! read more

I was involved in a collision with some road debri and based on the feedback I decided to try Chandler Auto Body. The insurance adjuster went back and forth with them and when it was all said and done, I decided to take my vehicle else were. When I called they were upset with this and wanted to charge me $50 a day storage fees when it took them 5 days to do an estimate?? I asked for some help to remove the storage fees but they wouldn't. I paid to have them put the parts back on that they removed for an estimate and when I picked up the vehicle my bumper wasn't even connected on one side ...... Sorry but I wouldn't recommend this shop or take my vehicle back here again. read more

I feel choosing auto body shop is like rolling dice. But, had a fantastic experience with this shop to replace and repaint rear car bumper. They are an Approved Met Life location. Accident happened on Thursday. Called them Friday at 7:30am. Manager was very nice. Arrived at 8am. He was ready for us, got us checked in in 5 minutes. Even reminded me to take my garage door opener. Best yet, had the rental car arranged with Enterprise (right next door to his shop). Call me back Monday at 12noon to tell me the car was ready. That was less than 2 business days to fix. At pick up, they showed me proof that they used OEM parts (purchased from local new car dealer). I showed them a few scrapes on the front hood, unrelated to the accident, that needed to be buffed. He did it on the spot and would not allow me to pay for the extra work. Everyone was very friendly the whole time. Don't be fooled by it being a small shop, they do great work. read more

I moved and lived in Austin for a couple of years. Apparently everyone thought my car was a bumper car, so a little TLC was in order for my Kia Soul after returning to the Valley. In November, I received a quote from Chandler Auto Body for all the work my car needs totaling over $3k. My husband and I were busy with life for a bit, and before I knew it, it was past the 90-day mark for the quote I had received. I took the car in for another quote for just two of the things that were driving me crazy; a door molding on the passenger side that was flapping in the breeze and peeling paint around my tail light. The work was scheduled for the following week. I was pleasantly surprised when Chandler Auto Body called and told me the car was ready several hours earlier than I had anticipated, although I still had to wait until later in the day for pick up after my husband got out of work. When I went to pick up the car, the first thing I noticed was a clear coat drip several inches long near the tail light. When I brought it to Rick's (the owner) attention, he told me that he had not noticed it (shouldn't the owner of an auto body shop be more detail oriented?). He said he would take it in the back and it would be fixed immediately. I waited for a bit, and then he brought it back up. The drip was still there! The only thing that looked better was the bead at the bottom of the drip was gone. He looked at me expectantly like he was expecting me to accept it the way it was. I told him that it was in unacceptable condition and that the car had been sitting there all day and they could have done it right. He told me they would have to put the old piece back on and redo the new one. I would have to return tomorrow for the new one (I did and it finally looked good). He said that at least they fixed my back bumper where it had mildly separated from the body. That repair was on the first quote, not on the second, so they did not have authorization to touch it. I thanked him, barely glancing at the bumper, and redirected him back to the task at hand. I spent an hour there and was in a mad dash to get home to get dinner done, so I didn't really look at the bumper until arriving home after work the next day. I noticed there are two new dings that were not there previously. Also, it looks as though there was some shoddy paint touch-up done. I have attached a picture. My car now looks even worse than when I took it in and I will have to pay someone else to fix the dings and paint. The bumper also wasn't written up on my receipt which means it's not under warranty and I have no proof they touched it. It should have been written up for a zero charge. All I can say is that I'm glad I didn't have them do all the work. My husband took the car back to the shop to ask them how they could "repair" the bumper when they didn't have authorization to touch it. He told them they weren't going to be allowed to "fix" my car anymore and asked for some sort of refund. Rick would not look him in the eye and told him, "There's the driveway". I will be pursuing other avenues of reporting this issue. I work very hard and was looking forward to finally getting some of this work done, only to be even further behind than when I started thanks to Rick and the employees at Chandler Auto Body. read more

My truck got hit in a parking lot and the offender didn't leave any note, so I was paying for repairs out of my own pocket. I took my truck to Chandler Auto Body. They kept my truck for two days longer than promised, but it was worth the wait! My truck was gleaming inside and out ... they washed the outside and vacuumed the inside and best of all -- the truck looked like it had never been in a little fender-bender. And ... the final cost was exactly the same as the estimate. Nope, they didn't try to nickel-and-dime me with extra (surprise!) added costs or anything like that. These guys are the real deal -- honest, friendly, professional, and they did great work. I would highly recommend Chandler Auto Body to friends, family, and anyone else who may need some body work done. The only thing that kept me from giving a full 5 stars is because someone there took all of the change I had in the coin holders that I use for tolls, car wash, gas station air, etc. What did you get, ... $4? $5? My car still makes a weird noise when going over any bumps but finally a month later the wheel bearing and hub has been replaced. Thankfully the owner stepped in so I did not have to deal with Andy and his condescending attitude and remarks. I made a decision to go to this body shop after reading such great reviews on the work. I took my truck in to get the side panel and bumper fixed, I was quoted and told 1 week to fix the repairs. After I had my insurance cut a check to them I took it to get started, all of a sudden it changed to a week and a half, then I was told 2 weeks, 2 weeks then turned into "well we'll try to have it to you by the end of the month ( dropped it of June 12 at 7am). I am yet to see the work but I was told a week when I decided to go with this shop. Its frustrating because im taking Lyft and uber everywhere so this is now costing me couple hundred dollars more then i anticipated because of this extended time frame. I want the work to be done correctly and I understand that things come up, but don't tell someone a week and then take 3, that's just unacceptable. read more

Had an appointment to drop off my truck, showed up and they told me that they couldn't take it that day and pushed me back a week. Truck was there for over a week, never got an update. I had to call to make sure I could pick up my truck on the date it was promised. Was told they were still waiting on some parts the day before. Showed up to get my truck, work looked alright. They left my LED headlights in my cup holder. Went back inside, they told me that the lights all of a sudden weren't any good but my passenger side and fog lights still worked. Got home, had to take my headlight housings out and put in the bulbs myself. They worked fine! Definitely not a pleasant experience with them. read more

The damage was expensive and the insurance company wanted to total my truck but the shop managed to work a deal. Really great staff and my truck looks better than she did before. I have used Chandler Auto Body on several different occasions and have ALWAYS found them, specifically Rick, to be not only professional but EXTREMELY helpful. I found him to have the highest of integrity. He goes above and beyond what a reasonable person would expect. In my case spending countless hours dealing with the other guys insurance company. My truck looked remarkable! I can't thank him enough for taking the time to help me with the stubborn insurance company. I guess for all of you who take note of other 1 star ratings my only advice is to always remember there is always 2 sides to a story. I went about a week ago to get a estimate from this place. BIG MISTAKE THAT I EVEN STOPPES BY... And the grey hair guy I think it was Charlie was very rude and not polite at all. I recently brought my car into this shop to get a shield and fender liner replaced, because the parts busted off my car while driving on the freeway the day before. The only reason I went to Chandler Auto Body was because Subaru had a 5-day wait time for getting my car in, and this place had openings. As a FIRST TIME CUSTOMER, I picked up my car about 6 hours after dropping it off, and within 10 miles of driving my "fixed" car , the SAME EXACT PARTS - the shield and fender liner - broke off my car and started dragging on the ground while driving on the freeway, almost causing an accident. I pulled over immediately and saw that the fender liner was stuck under my tire, so I backed up and pulled it out from under my car, and realized there were NO NUTS & BOLTS holding the fender liner in place!! The shield was also dragging on the ground as only half of the bolts were attached!! I called Chandler Auto Body asking if they could come meet me where I was stranded on the freeway or send me a free tow truck, but they REFUSED! They said I have to drive it to their shop in order to get a repair, and they promised to get it done for FREE. I told them my car was not drivable but they didn't care!! So, I had my husband meet me to temporarily put the part in place before I drove back to the shop. Upon arriving back to the shop, the owner didn't even bother to look at the damage and quickly said that he won't be able to fix my car, because it's not their fault it fell apart and he trusts that his guys put all of the bolts in. But then, he says that he was NOT in the shop during the hours my car parts were installed. This is AFTER he told me on the phone that if I came back, you would fix it for FREE!!! Then we asked him if he still trusts his guys after showing him the busted parts, and he said YES and he will NOT be firing the guys who made this mistake. If you take your car to this place, be certain that you'll end up in a bind like I was because he doesn't hire experienced professionals! Instead, he wrote us a refund check and told us that it's not his problem, thinking he would get away with poor customer service!! He does not care if you get into an accident, your safety is NOT his concern. If you want excellent service go to the Subaru Dealership on Gilbert Rd & Pecos! Dealerships might charge a few extra bucks but they use NEW (not OEM parts) and don't make these mistakes!! Customer service at Subaru has always been amazing - Mike the service manager is the best guy in the area who has fixed minor issues free of charge or only for the cost of nuts & bolts (only $7) on a few occasions. It definitely was worth it to wait another week to go back to my trusted Subaru mechanics after this mess!!!! read more
