First time I used Caliber Collision in Tujunga, I was pleased with the results. So, after I was rear-ended, I decided to use the facility again. This was the a complete opposite experience totally. The bumper was put on crooked, the rear spoiler was left with scratches which needed a return to buff out. The convertible cargo carrier was bent and ripped, yet it wasn't discovered until the day I came pick up my car. This required another return trip for repairs. I was instructed to not was the car for two weeks as the paint was curing. Once I did wash the car, I discovered water on the floorboard on the backseat passenger side. My car was taken to a Chevrolet dealer in Glendale. They were not instructed the car was in an accident, were told only the customer wanted to know where the water was entering. Total disservice to me as I had to pay almost $500 to get my car back. Surprisingly, water is still getting into my car, which wasn't an issue until the accident. I've tried contacting the manager to discuss this, yet he has yet to return my calls. Oh yeah, he went on vacation after taking my car to the Chevrolet dealership and nobody knew where my car was, and I was told only the manager could discuss the case as it was a return. After a week of no knowledge of where my car was, I became assertive in wanting to know the location and status of my car. Come to find out, this Caliber Collision only uses two Chevrolet dealerships. It still took a day to find out the location. To say I am frustrated is an understatement, my car is back at the Chevrolet dealership as I type this. The car was rear-ended at the beginning of June, I've had the car probably a total of less than 20 days in the last 2 months. I wouldn't use this facility ever again. read more

For some strange reason, we went through a period of 3 months where people kept hitting our cars when they were parked. 4 times! One time, it was a rental we had while our car was being fixed because someone hit it. Each of those times, the cars were repaired at Caliber Collision, and each time they came back to us, you could have sworn they were brand new. Caliber Collision is definitely THEE place to go when you need auto body repair. I wish they could repair my physical body the way they repaired our cars. They matched the paint perfectly too. They were in communication with us letting us know when they were going to be done early, or where they had delays in the process. They were professional with every conversation we had with them too. Their facility is kept well and doesn't look junky the way some auto repair shops look. Slam dunk 5 star reviews for this place. You really don't have to go anywhere else. Are they pricy? There was a loose piece of molding on the passenger side that slapped against the car. It needed 2 fastening clips which Nissan does not sell! I brought the car to Caliber. The fellow at the desk came out to look at what was needed. He asked me to wait. The first set of clips were not correct so he went back to the garage and found exactly what was needed. He put them in and attached the molding...like new. There is no price to mention...means zer0. I hope not to need a collision place but if I do, I will go here. My car was sent here by the Caliber in North Hollywood due to them overflowing with business. Never again. There is a reason why I like the NoHo location. I am never going to another one again because even though this Caliber and the other one are the same company, the service and the way the car runs is much better at the North Hollywood location. Moses was in charge of the repairs on my car. I was told the car would be ready on Friday (after an entire month of no calls about progress). which was then changed to early the next week to the end of that week. I never got a call back on the progress and always had to call myself to be met with the same "I was JUST about to call you!" Excuse. They said they would deliver it to my local caliber by 4:30-5. After zero contact until basically 5:30 they "miraculously" say they're delivering the car to the north Hollywood caliber. On top of it all, my car battery died on me two days after leaving this shop. I had just replaced this battery less than a year ago with a brand new one and it had never died on me before. I highly suspect the mechanics here either killed my car while working on it or straight up stole and swapped my battery. NEVER AGAIN. read more

I had my truck hit again by a hit and run in front of my house and took it for the second time to Caliber (last time is was still called Classic Collision). My truck is black in color and consequently the most difficult to fix back to smooth and perfect condition. However, once again the same team got it done for me. The truck came out perfect. Ethan is great, as he was with Classic. The door needed a minor adjustment at pick-up which he got done for me immediately. Thanks, Ethan! Another nice feature is that they still send out text updates of progress on work on your vehicle. Communication to the customer is outstanding, just like Classic was. One thing to note is that the new management seems more focused on profits and procedures than customer service. Everyone seems to be rushing about now to pump out work, and don't seem to be as focused on customers as they were before. Ethan is the exception, but an example was when my truck was dropped off for work on a Saturday, the manager (not Ethan) who was there gave an unpleasant lecture about procedure to follow when bringing in vehicles for work.....WTF? I'm the damn customer, how about a little education or respect? I'm a customer, and not aware of your stupid rules! Still five stars for the work on the vehicle and for Ethan's helpful service, but if this top management attitude of money first and customer service second prevails, I will take my business elsewhere next time. read more

From start to finish my experience at Caliber was nothing short of top notch. I had the pleasure of working with one of their associates named Rey, who was an absolute joy to work with and a consummate professional throughout the process. His timely updates and friendly attitude made all the difference. As far as the work they did on my vehicle, everything came out looking nearly brand new. The car even felt better on the road. It was cleaned thoroughly inside and out upon receipt as well. It honestly has that "new car" feel again (and it's a 10 year old car). So unfortunately I crashed my car and I need body work on it. My insurance said caliber collision will take good care of me. That was an understatement. This specific location hooked me up. I got my vehicle towed. Went in to sign the papers to get everything started. Cindy at the front desk was very friendly and helpful when it came down to explaining all the paperwork. She would follow up on a daily basis to update me on the status of my vehicle. There was also a guy named Pablo I believe that would also call me and pretty much inform me on timing on completion. They were on top of everything! Once my car was ready I went to go get it, Cindy asked me to leave the rental and she'll check it in with enterprise and they even took the car back for me. Professional experience from start to finish! Omar was our contact and oversaw work on our Audi. He was in constant contact with us, informing us of progress along the way and ultimately got our car back to us about a half a week earlier than he originally estimated. Not only was he able to expertly match a special color but he also took care of few other dings and scratches around the body of the car. When we got it back the car looked brand-new! I was referred to Caliber Collision by Bob Smith Toyota in La Crescenta, which uses Caliber for their body-repair needs. A few months before, someone had broken into my driver's side door. Ever since then, air whistled when I drove. Bob Smith Toyota determined that the door was bent and recommended that Caliber take a look. Caliber provided EXCELLENT customer service. I drove to the Tujunga location, making it there about 20 minutes before closing time. Ethan, the service advisor, didn't look at his watch or give me that exasperated "why are you showing up at the end of the day" look. He was extremely pleasant and professional. I showed him my door, he asked me to take a seat and five minutes later, it was fixed. No charge. This is obviously a company that cares about its customers and believes in providing good customer service. I will definitely think of Caliber Collision Tujunga first when I need body work done. read more

I am writing this to complain about an incident that happened today 12/10/18, concerning Caliber Collision at La Crescenta and Tujunga office. I had a hit-and-run car accident in the beginning of November. I called Bob smith Toyota to recommend a reliable garage to fix my car and they recommended Caliber Collision, which office just located right next to Bob Smith in La Crescenta. I did an estimate and they sent it to my insurance, which approved the repair right away. But what I didn't know was that I had to bring the car to their garage in Tujunga garage to fix the car. They did not make it clear at all; the La Crescenta office has no garage?? Very confused situation. I made a appointment through Cindy in Tujunga on Monday 12/10/18 early morning at 7:30 am. I confirmed the appointment 5 days prior. They said no problem. Today, when we got to Tujunga office, the technician Vartan cannot find any information about my car, plus, he said we need another estimate?? What kind of business is this? Disorganized, no communication---what a waste of customer's time. I will never recommend anyone to go near this company and am surprise a company like Bob Smith would recommend them. read more

My elderly mom had been developing "garage rash" on the front corners of her Camry - probably a continuing problem. She had already had the front bumper cover replaced by Caliber a few years ago. So I took it to them hoping for a low-cost patch-up. The manager was so cool - after an assessment, he told me that the bumper cover had been torn at the bottom from backing over parking bumpers so couldn't be legitimately fixed by them without a full bumper cover replacement. But rather than switching to "sales mode" and try to sell me the "full bill of goods", they understood the situation and explained to me how I could patch it up myself with some epoxy to extend the life of the bumper cover before the eventual need to replace it. And he then went even further and brought out some polishing compound and cleaned-up the scuffs! And wouldn't take any money for it! I was impressed with how they seemed to want to "do the right thing" not just maximize their business. Would definitely go back and trust their guidance and desire to do the right thing! read more

My insurance company recommended them. Work is guaranteed they said. Caliber (North Hollywood) repaired the front end of my 2014 Honda but very soon afterward my battery light came on while driving and I was told (by a Honda mechanic) that the alternator was falling apart. So, I took the car back to Caliber. No one called to let me know the status the first day. The second day I called them and was assured (twice) that the car would be ready that afternoon and they would let me know as soon as I could pick it up. No one called to let me know, the place is now closed and it's too late to get a rental. No way to get to work tomorrow. Does no one take service seriously anymore? They are very courteous on the phone and that's why they get one star. read more

So my truck was in an accident at the dealership cause my an employee. I was there when it happened. The dealer said they would fix the truck. When they told me they were going to take it to Caliber Collision, I told them I didn't want them to go there because I took my other car to the Burbank location years back and they did a bad job very rude people and I ended up getting the car fixed again someplace else. The Dealership manager told me not to worry they deal with Caliber all the time and if they mess up they would make it right. This happened in January, I got my car 21 days later. As soon as I got it, I noticed the bad work, to the point where the door panel inside did not match at all. They came and redid the bad parts. I got it back 4 days later. The first day driving it, the door would rattle and panel still did not match, they said to give them time to find the panel and then they would take car of the rattle. Two months later no panel rude as hell and attitude I went back to the dealership and told them now take it to where I told you to take it. Caliber collision said I had a new door, I did not, they had to put in new hinges for my door at Caliber, the other shop said if I would not have gotten the truck fixed again the door would have fallen off and that the door was not new. Nobody cares at this place and from what it seems like at any of their places. I called their corporate offices in Texas, they don't care. So before you bring your car here, I would think twice. The only reason I got my truck fixed the right way by another shop is because the dealership was on the hook. read more

We went there, like the other reviewers we had to wait. It's (not an actual repair location) but rather a shop with a plaque but they really come from Tujunga. They underestimated the repair in my opinion, they were doing it for Statefarm, how they expected to fix the minor bumper paint damage for that price (98 bucks) I don't know, but they didn't know how to fix an older BMW m3 headlight that the incident made not work, they told me they didn't know how and the light is after market it's an older car they didn't want to tinker with it, they refused the repair. Over two weeks into this I already had to take it elsewhere to get the light adjusted as their guy bashed into my parked car and the electrical connection became loose, headlight no longer worked. They claimed the car was trash/damage basically. I should post a photo lol. Sent in 98 repair. They never bothered to call me. Statefarm (whose guy hit my car where it innocently parked) never bothered to call me. I've wasted many hours on this already. In my own personal opinion, it felt like they are in business with Statefarm to spent as little money as possible, even when their driver was 100% at fault and the damage was minor. Total waste of my time was my personal experience here. read more

I had repairs done there twice previously and was very pleased. I took my Lexus there to have some minor scrapes repaired and repainted and later noticed that the lower part of the rear fender had defects in the repair. It wasn't very noticeable but if someone looked they would know that there had been body work done. I returned and spoke to the manager and he didn't seem concerned even suggesting that I had further damaged the area which hadn't happened. He said it would cost 5 or 600 dollars to repair it again which I wasn't going to pay so I let it go. I would definitely have second thoughts about taking my car there again. read more

The first time around, I went with another facility that took 2 months to get my car back to me (I won't name names but it was a horrible experience). This time, I took my car here and literally had it back within 4 days. Juan, the guy running this shop was not only extremely friendly, but you can tell he actually cares. He kept me updated along the entire process, let me know exactly how long parts would take to ship, and they did amazing work! I had concerns based on my last experience and Juan reassured me that his team would never give me my car back without it being perfect, and that's exactly what they did. My car hasn't looked this good since the day I first got it. I can't thank these guys enough for getting my car back to me so quickly.
