I was recently involved in an automobile accident, and thankfully the damage to my car wasn't extensive, the car is a cherished 2001 Mercedes 500S. The damage included by rear view mirror, wheel and fender on the drivers side. The fender took the brunt of the damage. From my first meeting with the office at Caliber I was impressed, the positive reassurance that my car would be repaired completely and in a timely manner was very reassuring. Melissa walked me through the process, the timeline and put my mind at ease. I received daily texts keeping me updated and informed of the process, this was very helpful. I had never worked with a company that provided daily updates on the services they were providing. I was given a 5 day timeline and they met that timeline to the exact day! That's was I call service. I couldn't arrange with my family to take me to pick up the car, so Melissa arranged an Uber to pick me up and they paid for it!! After going to a place in Castro Valley to get my car fixed I was left with an improperly fixed car and more damages. During my struggle with them I had to take it back 10 times to try to get them to fix it right. I was very worried that there was still many things wrong and although that shop is contracted with AAA they refused to do it right. AAA then suggested Caliber Collision to me. When I spoke with them they were extremely nice and helpful when going over my car with me. The lady I worked with didnt just hand me the sheet of damages, she actually went around my entire car explaining what she saw and the possibilities of what would need to be done. They fixed over $500 in damages from the most recent accident and over $5k of damages from the prior accident that the other shop never did right. Caliber Collsion did a full car inspection making sure nothing was missed. On top of all the amazing work they did, I was updated throughout the entire process which was very much appreciated. When I got my car back I was amazed. I didnt even recognize my car it looked better than new. So this is about 10 days late but here ya go, my vehicle was broken into and vandalized in sf, progressive suggested caliber and I went along, the work that was done looks ok the paint has a lot more orange peel than it should though. The real issue is that after getting my vehicle the front turn signal no longer works in the side the disassembled and repaired kinda weird that would leave your shop like that, next I noticed sanding dust everywhere in my vehicle even in the center console, and I'm not talking a little dust it was bad, and the last thing was discovering all the broken glass they supposedly cleaned up, it was still in my seat and floor. Very disappointed, when I contacted caliber they said to bring it back, no thanks, I would not let them work on my vehicle again if given the chance. So they got 6k from progressive and $500 from me and left my truck dirty inside with lots of broken glass to clean up plus a broken turn signal ! Thanks caliber read more

I was involved in a minor accident with damage to my rear bumper. Because of the scratches I was not able to tell if there was damage to the clear coat or the paint, and since the accident was not my fault I decided to have it looked at by a professional. I had intended on taking my car to Cook's based on a recommendation from a friend, so was happy to hear that Caliber (formerly Cook's) was the preferred collision center of the other person's insurance company. I was able to get an appointment quickly for the appraisal which is when I met Melissa. She was very professional and clearly knowledgeable about her business. Long story short, there was no damage to the bumper itself or the paint. Everything could be buffed out by their detailing department. So happy to see there are still companies that know how to provide excellent service and are honest about their business. My 2007 Tacoma truck's roof was rusted (bad factory paint job) and I had a dent in my tailgate. I had my truck's damages estimated by a repair shop in Dublin originally as I did not know this place existed. When I finally had the money together to get it repaired I then discovered this shop which was so much more convenient for me as I live in San Ramon. I brought my truck in on a Monday and their estimate beat the Dublin estimate. I left my truck with them and was contacted three days later and advised that all of the work was done and that they were able to do it cheaper than the initial estimate I agreed to. They did a beautiful job repainting the roof and the tailgate was fixed to my satisfaction.
