The ambiance was really clean and inviting. I ordered a chicken burger which tasted fine. The avocado mayo spread was a strange consistency that looked like food dye and my chicken breast was cut across. It didn't seem like a full chicken breast and felt that I was being shortchanged compared to other fast food places. The onion rings were delicious and the hot dog was very meaty. I ordered a kids burger to try and the amount of ketchup that out on this hot dog was equivalent to 3 packets. The ketchup was extra sweet and pretty intense. The cook was excellent and seemed very detail oriented with each other. The customer service at the front counter was a little abrupt. I made a mistake with an order while using a kiosk and I had to purchase another hot dog. Compared to the Cali Burger at Westlake mall, this locations service was very sub par. I think for a chain there are other local burger spots that stand out for food quality, customer service, and flavor. read more

Dude, what in the world? This was a TOTAL and utter train wreck. I came in today and the place was clean and the service was pretty friendly. And the food was pretty good, too. So why the one star review? Sit down, this might take a minute. I HATE writing bad reviews, but sorry, but this one is well earned. The employee there was very friendly, but there was a bit of a language barrier. She struggled to understand what I was asking and I had to ask questions several times. I do speak some Spanish, so I was happy to help bridge the gap. I asked how much more it was (in Spanish) for the combo, but she didn't seem to know. I finally figured it out on the menu board, which she confirmed on the screen. Also the customer interface was confusing, apparently you have to tap the screen to pay? Not sure what the purpose of this confusing interface is, but we got it done I suppose... Third thing was that I also needed to use the restroom, like fairly urgently, but it was occupied. For like 15 minutes. Apparently the male employee was in there smoking pot. Thanks that I was forced to smell that while I was using the bathroom. As we were leaving, my friend went to get water at the fountain drinks and it got stuck open and he wasn't able to stop the flow. They said it was okay, it happens all the time. SMH... Finally, and least importantly, as I was leaving, there was a standing table in front of the shop that had been outside for a LOOONG time. It was made of formica and plywood. The plywood layers were completely separating and the top was cracked like crazy. It's too bad. I won't be coming back here, despite the decent food. For a grand opening that took forever at the papered up former Quizno's location (had photos from back on April 25th, so six months), not much fan fare at this new CaliBurger. Heck this is the best place for the least interaction. Looks like various delivery services are available too. Personally, this is my first visit (10/22/21). The Homie had visited the former site in Seattle's UDistrict and the Alderwood Mall site in Lynnwood. Two self serve kiosks to order/pay (lots of hand sanitizer available) or you can order at the counter. New, but grubby tables...yeah I mentioned the hand sanitizer already. Random garish corporate interior decor. Indoor and limited outdoor seating available. Uninspiring CaliBurger staff during peak dinner time hours on Friday though. Very focused on their assigned tasks. Ate the goods in the car, because cold, congealed burgers would not be good! Burgers were tasty, just a wee bit much on their signature sauce, scant vegies, melty cheese, nicely grilled patties, soft buns. Shakes were just okay, kind of liquidy though. Fries made by the robotic arm were decent. Hot, crisp, and nicely salted. Never seen that before. Menu has nice variety of burgers, plant based burgers, chicken burgers, hot dogs, and sides like fries and onion rings. There's gluten free buns available. Yesterday night after a movie, we ordered two shakes, six cheeseburgers, and one fries from Dick's in Lake City for a little over $24. This CaliBurger order had two shakes, two customized burgers, plain fries, one Cali style fries with tax and 15% tip was a little over $38. So probably in the price range comparable to Five Guys or Shake Shack. From 145th to 205th along 99/Aurora in Shoreline, there's McDonald's, Jersey's, Jack in the Box, Good Burger, and Habit Burger, and now CaliBurger. 3.5 stars, rounding up for the pandemic effort. read more

After hearing about the automated robot, my friends and I decided to come check it out. When we got here on a Saturday during lunchtime, it was pretty busy with people. Luckily, they have a few kiosks where people can choose to order from or the good old fashion way of ordering from a staff member. I like the idea of having an option available. At first, I thought the robot would cook all the food, but it was only "in charge" of cooking the fries. The burgers were still cooked and assembled my human staff. It was quite entertaining watching the robot cook. As for the food, I ordered Baja BBQ Bacon Burger and the Califries. In my opinion, the burger and fries were a good size and amount. The flavor was maybe a bit too salty for me, but overall, the food was good. The fries were cooked to be not too soft and not too over cooked - it was just right to my liking. My friends got the K-town burger and Cali single burger, and both enjoyed their meals. So those are on my list to try next. The food was great, price was reasonable, and the service was good as well. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I thought I'd give Caliburger another try after the first fiasco right after it opened. Hoping thing had gotten better. Spoiler alert, it didn't. I ordered a double burger fries and a drink. The burger reminded me of back in highschool... you know those really thin and dry patties that might have been meat? Yeah. That's what these were. The fry machine was broken down (again, does it ever work?), but the fries were fresh made by hand. I can't complain about the staff. We wouldn't go out of our way for these burgers, but it was a pretty standard burger fare. You have to self order. There's a robot arm making fries (which were ok). People were making burgers and compiling the orders in the bags. Burgers were half wrapped when placed in the bag, which seemed weird to me. Overall not bad. read more

My fiancé and I were driving by and we saw that CaliBurger was finally open! We decided to pop in and we bought a calidouble to share. Costed us roughly $6, with a few additional add ins. When you walk in there is a counter directly infront but there are two self ordering tablets on the side where you can place your order without interacting with a host. This is great for those that want a quick experience. They have a machine called "Flippy" that is a self automated fryer. Super cool and helps minimize the fry grease. Overall pretty similar taste to the infamous In-N-Out, we will be back and I totally want to try their hot dogs and some of their other speciality burgers! read more

I really like the atmosphere, colors and pictures of sunsets and beach ferris wheels. The meat was boring and tough, maybe the cheese was liquid or not real cheese... and there were a couple of inedible pieces of meat or bacon... unsure. I order my food online and pick it up here, usually right on time. I like to get their Cali Fries because the fries are fresh and you get a unique topping. I get a strangely detached feeling from the machines and the repetitive music video that's never updated, and I have not tried out anything but the double cheeseburger which is good but can be improved with another patty. When you look at it, since they offer similar prices to fast food restaurants but take care to make it right in front of you, the value is in getting very fresh food. read more

I last went there near the time of their grand opening and rated it 4 stars. I noticed all the bad reviews and wanted to check it out again. First the kiosk you order from is near the front door and the sunlight on it is blinding. So I had problems placing the order. I had a double burger and fries. My wife had a lettuce wrap chicken and sweet potato fries. My burger was generic. It was ok and would have benefited from salt. My fries were bleh. My wife liked here lettuce wrap and her sweet potato fries but thought they would be better salted. This came to over $30 for very average food. Born and Raised in WA, specifically shoreline, and I gotta be Frank...best burger in the area since there's not a Dick's nearby. They do have the robotic fryer "Flippy", it helps minimize the time cooking french fries so the crew can focus on making the hamburgers perfectly. Although the Cali Burger is new to shoreline and I'm sure in time they can make things better. Here are a few things that I can say were terrible: The machine that cooks fries and onion rings is a really cool show for the young ones, but the onion rings were mostly broken pieces from the bottom of the bag. All of the fried food is loaded by a worker, so that's on them for not getting a fresh bag of onion rings. Not only did we get the bits and pieces, but the onion rings were over cooked! And the fries were undercooked. Sorry flipper or whatever they call you, but you kind of suck at your job! The burger was okay nothing to tell any friends that you have to try it. If anything I would say give them six months and hopefully they will have figured out the game. Also, the Same person putting the meat on the grill was reaching over to help and touching the buns and not once did they change their gloves. You can't touch meat and then other things without changing your gloves, gross! The soda was flat too. As a person that likes burgers, fries, onion rings, and a crisp soda I am very disappointed with the Cali burger experience. Burger was great. I had their BBQ burger and it had really good flavor, and the onion ring they put on it was nice and crispy. The patty tasted great too. I only put 4 stars because the fries were a bit disappointing. For one the portion size was pretty small and for how much they charge for fries I expected them to be a bit better too. The staff also seemed a little confused but I also understand they just opened so I'll give them some grace there. Overall it was good and I'll probably be back to try another burger. read more

The taste of the burger was very good but the onion ring that is supposed to be included was missing from the burger. I also added an avocado to my grilled Baja BBQ chicken burger and that was missing. I'm vegetarian. I love that the beyond burgers are cooked on a separate grill that has a metal divider with separate spatulas. I love the baja bbq the best, it is a little spicy. Let me just start by saying I really like their burgers and fries. I'm not too fond of the ordering kiosks - I find it confusing. Today at 1145a when I went in to order there were a couple of people waiting for their orders. I waited at the counter to order as I have done in the past with friendly service. Today I stood and waited while the workers were prepping orders. So I got frustrated and used the kiosk. All went well except I failed to include fresh onions on our burgers. While I was waiting additional people came in and the one surly employee barked at them to order at the kiosk. Everyone left and I saw my order was being packaged up so I got up to ask for ketchup and "Cali sauce" or whatever their fry like sauce is called. I started to ask for the ketchup 1st and she cut me off and told me all the orders come with ketchup. I stopped her and said I wasn't finished - that I also wanted two Cali sauces. She thought about it and said she could give me one sauce. I told her there was no way to order additional sauces on the kiosk and that I was happy to pay. She said they only gave one sauce per order of fries - I had only ordered one fry. I said I wanted it for my burger. She considered that and didn't say anything so I advised her unless she gave me two sauces I'd cancel the entire order! My order had two sauces in it. The thing is the sauce containers have less than a tablespoon in them so I don't see the big deal. If their policy is, indeed, they only give one per order of fries they should make that obvious by putting up signage. Still great burgers and fries. Not so much for the employee interaction this visit. This worker also told a woman with her to go order who was filling up her soda , "Make sure you don't drink any of that while you're in the store." What's that about? ***Update*** - Visited today, 12/17 at 100p, and the same rude worker mentioned above barked at a gentleman who was trying to order at the counter to use the kiosk! I've ordered at the counter before with a very nice young woman. I've read reviews in here saying they were able to order at the counter. So, Caliburger, which is it? I know my 90 year old mother-in-law absolutely would not be able to navigate the kiosk. It would be nice to hear from the owner of this location. read more

Slop! Worst, tasteless thin burger meat, wet sloppy, thin bun, with a small dab of one tiny, torn lettuce leaf and an ultra thin, small slice of tomato no bigger than your little finger that I've never experienced in my life. Just a god-awful burger. The ultra thin fries are no better! By far the worst burger I've ever had..ever! The wait time took forever! Also, the two guy servers behind the bland counter were so busy entertaining each other in their own native language (I'm an immigrant myself) that I felt in the way inside their totally empty, ultra bland "restaurant". These guys have no clue how to treat customers, how to make a simple, tasteful burger, let alone run a burger joint. Their prices are waaay over-the-top! Never again! read more

No one working the register, so used the kiosk. Figure the person on the grill forgot to put down the grilled chicken sandwich. The burger and fries we ordered sat in a bag under the heat lamp for 15 minutes waiting for the grilled chicken that, based on the 1/4" thickness, should have taken about 5 minutes to cook. By the time we received our order, the fries were meh and the lettuce on the burger wilted, plus forgotten onion. Chalk it up to the weak point in communication to the grill, which is done by human shout out rather than sending the orders direct to the grill via computer. On probation. Will perhaps try again as the chain may have potential. It is very expensive for (not at all) fast food. read more
