I placed an order for blinds and draperies back in June 2025. The blinds were installed fairly quickly and work well. I am extremely disappointed in the quality of service for the draperies. The first time the installer came out, it quickly became evident that the draperies for two of the three rooms had been made 4 inches too short, and the roman shade had been made too wide to fit in the space (this is after they had been professionally measured by the installer). They were sent back and lengthened but one of the draperies was still an inch too short, and the roman shade had not been cut down, so these went back a second time to be redone - this was in October 2025. Since that time I was notified that the new drapery was in, but the roman shade is still not fixed and they don't have an ETA. I just called again to check status and the person I talked to was already so upset apparently by someone else's problems and frustration that as soon as I told her I was frustrated she started to cry because it isn't her fault. (It isn't her fault, but that doesn't solve my problem - and I was being firm but very polite.) She had to hang up the phone and said she'd call me back. The quality of the draperies that are installed is good - but here I am 7 months after I placed the order and they still haven't got it right. I don't know what's happening over there but I am beyond frustrated and will never recommend this store to anyone else. read more

I considered getting custom drapery from Calico and ended up going with a different vendor. But I'm getting calls from their contractor for the third time in 3 weeks because Calico keeps giving my phone number for someone else's order. I'm glad I ended up going with a different vendor since they can't even keep track of details like this. read more

The clerk was not very knowledgable, but kept trying to add more to the re upholstery job. A couple days after I dropped off the chair, everything was 25% off. When I complained that they should have told me when I started that it would be on sale, they said: " We never know when a sale is coming, that's management." Ordered fabric for mom-in-law. We needed many yards of material. She made drapes for the living room. The support she received from Calico was amazing. Any time she had a question along the way in making these drapes, they helped answer. How to properly measure, can two fabric products be cleaned in the same way, thread suggestions, etc. Product arrived on time and the look was great when she was finished. I chose calico since calico was the only place that had specific fabric I had been searching for. It was for custom drapery for my living room. However it took too long (6 WEEKS) until i received the final products. These days lots of other stores offer 10 to 14 days finish time. If calico hadnt have the fabric choice I went for, I wouldn't have chosen calico in the first place. read more

I've used Calico Corners for a handful of projects and have been happy with the results. Custom stuff is pricey, but their prices seem fair and it obviates the need to search out independents upholsterers and seamstresses who make pillows, whindo shades, bed covers, drapes etc. While they don't have access to ALL the fabrics in the world they do carry a wide range of options at a number of different price points. Additionally, I have found Tina to be very helpful and pleasant to work with. read more

Just spent a fortune to have an old family loveseat reupholstered and it turned out badly. There are lumps in the back cushions. I would suggest going to a place that does only upholstering if you care about the piece. this is horrible and would never ever go back. very disappointed. read more

We ordered beaucoup yards of drapes. They promised a date, that date came & went, THEN they told us the fabric had been backordered but don't worry, it'll be just a couple more weeks. The weeks pass, the fabric's still not in. THEN they tell us they can't say when the fabric would be in, if ever. Meanwhile our remodeling project got gummed up by their dithering. If you are looking for apholstery fabrics or supplies this is a great place to start. Fabrics are organized by color and there are samples available to take home. There is also a discount table with fabrics from the ends of bolts for small projects. The staff is very knowledegable and friendly if you have questions and they will check out entire bolts of fabric for customers who want a larger sample to bring home. read more

If you need custom draperies made, Calico is the right place. I worked with Brianna. She is a complete expert in all things drapery, very patient, and made sure we received all the sale prices that applied. I had a complex project for our master bedroom, involving long runs which met in a corner. To top if off, we coordinated the design details with me in the San Juan Islands and she in Bellevue. She was amazing. She explained every single step along the way, including the important installation which my husband and I did together. Brianna is a great person to work with. If you want something fast then custom isn't the right direction to go. Fabrics take time to receive then the labor has to be done... And, some fabrics aren't as easy to get as others. Some of my deadlines were spot on (about 8-10 weeks) while others were 12-16 weeks. And, even then I still give them 5 stars because the quality of the final products and the overall workmanship has been FANTASTIC. The fabrics have all come together wonderfully and their sales staff (Michele in particular) has been EXCELLENT. I've ordered sheers, blackout curtains, pillows, duvet covers, ottomans, and a headboard - all of which turned out without problems. Nothing's been sent back and everything's looked even better in place than I thought it would. The most important thing with custom - be patient - it's worth the wait! read more

Calico Corners has many well organized, lovely fabrics but the help I received for my reupholstery project was "hit or miss", depending who was available to assist me on the 3 different days I went in to look at their fabric samples and ask questions about my project. By "hit or miss", I am referring to their willingness to help and/or the attitude of their staff. The woman I finally worked with was awesome and because of her, I went ahead with my order. The real problems started, though, after I had placed the order. Their summer sale was going on. I was told it would take 10 weeks before the job would be complete and I would only be without my couch for 2-3 weeks. 10 weeks came and went and I hadn't heard from the upholsterer regarding a date for them to pick up my couch. I called the store to inquire and the next day, the upholsterer phoned me, saying she was so busy it would be another week to 10 days before they could come to pick it up... After they finally began the job, 4 to 5 weeks went by and I had not heard any word about the status of my couch. I called the upholsterer and she told me she was too busy to check on it at that time and would call me the next day--but she didn't. I'm sure you see where this is going... I called the following day and was told by her she didn't "know where it was" and would have to get back to me after she "found it". Finally, after a few more weeks and another inquiry from me, she called to set a date and time for delivery. That day came and went but no one showed up! I called once more to ask why it hadn't been delivered and she complained that she must have made "a big boo-boo" and that she was overworked because "everyone is calling and wanting their furniture NOW". It was finally delivered 5 months after placing the order, not 10 weeks---but that's not the end of the story... The wooden "feet" on either side of the couch had been replaced incorrectly and had to be re-set and they had used a noticeably flawed piece of the fabric of one side of the seat cushion which I had to insist be replaced--plus I had to drive to the store to pick it up when it was finished because they were "too busy" to bring it out to me. All told, it took nearly 6 months for the job to be completed. I will say I'm happy with the final result but it took a lot of time and effort on my part (in the way of numerous frustrating phone calls) to get it done right. I shouldn't have needed to be the one to manage my job. That should have been the responsibility of the store... I emailed the store manager to express my dissatisfaction a few weeks later but never heard back from her---so I decided to write this review for all to read! This store has a lack of communication between themselves and the people who do their work. I felt as though as soon as I had placed my order and paid the hefty deposit, I was on my own to follow up on the progress of my job, instead of Calico Corners taking the responsibility of following through for their customers... We recently hired Calico to reupholster a family heirloom sofa, the result was a disaster-workmanship was far from professional and communication was even worse.... turns out they just sub the work out to a dumpy little upholstery shop and instruct them to say they work for Calico. Calico staff does not know much about upholstery at all - they are a Fabric Store ... nothing more. Stay far away from this place... there are other places that specialize in furniture restoration and upholstery. We did our homework and used a hi-end Upholstery specialist just off 116th NE to repair Calicos attempt... the sofa is now beautiful again - wish we found them first!! read more

I have had a couple projects done by Calico Corners in the past and was satisfied. This time around I needed a large simple valance made and the seats of 6 dining room chairs recovered. The price was more than I wanted to spend and the projects simple so I bought the amount of fabric they recommended and did it myself. One of the fabrics was quite costly but I splurged because it was perfect for my space and I was saving money doing the project myself. Turns out I only used 1/3 of the fabric Calico Corners told me I needed of both fabrics. I can understand having a little extra or maybe the sales person miscalculated a bit but telling me I needed three times more fabric than was necessary on two different fabrics strikes me as being deliberate. I can only assume this was also the case in the past when they did the labor for me. I will think twice before going back. I love their fabrics but I no longer trust them. read more
