Very disappointed with my recent visit. I've shopped here before without issue, but this experience…read morewas completely different. First, Google listed the opening time as 10 a.m., but the store did not open until 11. We had driven from Baltimore to get ahead of bad weather, tried calling multiple times, and found the voicemail full. There's no website to confirm hours, so we were left guessing whether to wait. Once inside, we spent nearly two hours selecting eight fabrics for multiple projects. Many fabrics were not priced, and the single employee cutting fabric had to repeatedly walk to the front of the store to ask the owner for pricing or answers to basic questions, which made the process extremely slow. The final issue was a large-print fabric that had deep slashes running several yards into the roll, along with visible black marks. I asked that the damaged portion be cut off or that cutting begin from the other end of the roll. The owner refused and told me that if I didn't like it, I didn't have to buy it, stating multiple times that they are a "for profit store." I have over 50 years of experience buying fabric and have never been expected to pay for clearly damaged yardage. We ultimately walked out without purchasing anything, leaving eight rolls at the cutting table--well over $1,000 in sales lost. It's disappointing to see how much this store has changed. It was once staffed by knowledgeable, helpful people who wanted to assist customers. I won't be returning.

There are glass bangles sold for both adults and children here, as well as clothes, and fabrics for a one-of-a kind outfit. The jewelry sold ranges from nice, fancier pieces, to smaller, everyday wear. The store owner was willing to help customers, but it did seem like a lot of the visitors were there to see the beautician, Kiran. I accompanied my cousin as she had a hair and makeup appointment with Kiran on a Saturday afternoon. My cousin brought her clothes with her that she planned on wearing that night as well as the jewelry needed. This was good as it made getting ready a lot easier. It did slightly bother and annoy me that my cousin paid ~$200, but because Kiran was the only beautician available, every 20-30 minutes, my cousin's work would be interrupted so that Kiran could do someone's eyebrow threading. This all worked out in the end, but what if my cousin had a shorter timeline for the work to be done in? I would have wanted the salon to ensure that another staff member was there to take care of walk-in appointments. I'll be honest, I did not feel Kiran took too many suggestions from my cousin and did more of what she wanted than what my cousin wanted. I also felt that because she kept losing time on the walk-in appointments, Kiran rushed through some of my cousin's procedure. Ex: Nails could have used another coat of polish, lashed should have been trimmed because they looked very unnaturally long, the eyebrows were colored in too dark... My cousin just kept being told that it was too late to make any changes. Kiran also did my cousin's henna/mehndi the night before and did a pretty great job with the designs. Kiran was very nice and I do know she works hard (standing on her feet the whole day), but if the day was any busier than it was, I don't think it's fair to charge such a fee if time is not just dedicated to one client.

This is better than Joann's fabric in my opinion. Hidden gem, tons of high quality fabric normally…read morepriced way higher online or at stores. Assalamualaikum!

A friend had purchased a Babylock from Bergers, and Raymond gave her a great deal. Not wanting to drive to Manasses from Arlington, or spend a lot of money - I looked around for a deal on eBay. I found a Babylock Ellageo for about $600 and bought it. When the machine arrived (that was supposed to be in GREAT condition), it was obvious there was something wrong. The stitches were way too tight no matter what I did - and some wouldn't even stitch at all - almost like the feed dawgs were partially dropped. And, it made an awful sound when stitching. So, I broke down and drove out to Manasses. I wanted to know what it would cost to fix the machine - hoping to figure out what was wrong with it and resolve the issues. Raymond put the machine through a few tests - and then gave me the bottom line without any of the fluff. I could fix it, but the machine was outdated - and parts could be hard to come by. And the cost would likely be more than I was ready to pay. It's not what I wanted to hear - but, it wasn't his fault. I decided to pursue a refund with the seller (which I did thankfully get - minus a 'restocking' fee). But now, I was back to square one...looking for a machine. I looked over some of the machines Raymond had in the shop - and came across a mint condition Ellegante. It had just been turned in by a single owner who decided to upgrade. It was well maintained, all the accessories, documentation & embroidery hoops - and 0 embroidery stitches! Raymond made me an offer that I couldn't refuse. I've been a happy Baby Lock customer every since. I've been happily sewing on my Baby for over a year now and have had no problems. I've even brought her back to Raymond for her regular 'spa week'. Service is very affordable and reliable. I don't trust anyone else with my Baby - she's in good hands with Raymond. Raymond's honest and straight to the point - which quite frankly, I appreciate. I know I can trust what he's telling me.

Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Great selection of a variety of sewing machines, etc.read more
