I never leave a review but I have to say that I am extremely disappointed in the policies at Calico Corners Southlake. The staff was friendly enough until I changed my mind about getting a couple of chairs recovered. I signed the purchase order and a few days later, decided that I wanted to use the fabric originally planned to recover the chairs for drapes instead. I explained that I just wanted to order some different fabric for the chairs from them and use my own upholster. They totally refused to refund the labor costs even though the new fabric and not even been purchased for the chairs. This is very confusing. If you don't want to use their upholstery labor, then why should you have to pay for it if you change your mind and want to use your own sources for the labor? I had to buy additional fabric from them to get the chairs recovered in order not to lose the much inflated price they charge for labor. I think they could easily have refunded the labor costs since that service was no longer desired. Now I am looking at a 7 week delay in getting the finished chairs returned. In addition I have to bring the chairs to the store in order to dodge another charge. I could have gotten them turned around in 3 weeks for a much more reasonable price. I was NOT told this was the policy when I originally made arrangements. I feel very ripped off and will never do business with Calico Corners ever again! Please spare yourself some grief and do not use Calico Corners! I am now very concerned that the workmanship will not be up to par even after a long wait! This was a very expensive mistake! Let me just start off with how friendly the Calico staff is. I walked through the front doors and was greeted with hellos and smiles from everyone there. The staff there really took care of me and was attentive to any questions I had. My mother and I went into the Calico in Southlake to purchase a few things for the house we were renovating. Not only was the staff absolutely wonderful but the work we received was beyond what we could have expected. The manger helped us decide on what type of fabric and color scheme we were going for around the house. The drapes came back perfect, not only were they a great a fit in the room but the measurements were spot on. We also received some accent pillows made for the main sectional and beds around the house. The manager helped us design the shape of pillows and suggested some frayed edges as well. Everything came out wonderfully. And the frayed edges she had suggested was the perfect little touch we needed. Overall the products we received turned out great and, the customer service was phenomenal. The work we received was above and beyond and we will definitely keep going back. read more

I hate to give anyone a negative review but, I'd like to spare anyone else from going through what we did. I will say that we used the Dallas location several years ago with zero issues. We recently ordered treatments for 1 large two story bay window, 3 doors, 3 additional windows, one window seat cushion and bedding from the Calico Southlake location. Two of the door treatments were done so sloppily that they had to be returned and replaced. The window seat cushion was made too long and had to be redone. The center visible bracket on one of the window treatments was installed with anchors that do not match the finish. Because they are anchors, they can't be easily removed so, we are living with them as is. The left ribbon trim on a stagecoach valance had to be removed and reattached to make it straight. -This I corrected myself with a staple gun. The bay window drapes were made incorrectly and were almost twice as wide as ordered. They had to be remade. The hardware ordered was also missing pieces (twice) and, in the end, they needed three separate visits before this treatment was finally completed and installed. Additionally, we have a large leather sectional that is not easily moved. A second installation crew ended up using a scaffold to work behind it. However, before this scaffold solution was known, the store manager came to my home and blamed me for the difficult installation situation instead of consulting first with someone experienced in this area. Anyone in customer service knows to present possible solutions first. Don't pick an argument with the customer, especially without full knowledge of the situation. Spare yourself and go somewhere else. We had a piece reupholstered by a fabric warehouse at Beltline and Midway. I wish we had used them for everything else. read more

My Husband and I paid to have two chairs slip covered. We were okay paying a higher price because Calico Corners totes its high quality workmanship and fabrics. To my best recollection we paid $1800 per chair. They are large club chairs that needed new cushions made. Approximately 18 months later... life and a dirty dog jumping on my chairs after a rain storm, I needed to get them cleaned. I tried to get them off the chairs, no matter how careful or diligent I was, they ripped. I had them professionally dry cleaned and could not get them back on. I contacted the store and had several conversations with the manager. They told me they are suppose to be tight ... I agree but not so tight they rip coming off. They told me it had been two years... So I guess they are only high quality in the first 6 months? They came back a few different times with offers to replace at 30% off... then 50% off... I was told they were filthy... this is not true. They tried to blame the cleaners... Could they have shrunk them? Sure... but the issue is they ripped coming off the furniture. The blame game and refusal to see the issues on their part were over the top. Conversations were not very professional. I told them I wanted them replaced because the "quality" was not there. They refused. I would not recommend this store. If something goes wrong the concern is not with how their product performs, but in their bottom line. A quality product lasts.... does not rip coming off.... or shrink when professionally cleaned. If that does happen... A quality company takes care of the issue when their product fails. read more

This is the friendliest of all the Calico Home (Corners) locations I've done business with. Over the past two decades I've had several pieces upholstered by Calico and have been very pleased with all purchases. The employees here are very helpful and the quality of fabric and accessories is superior. read more

Not sure why anyone would make purchases from this company. Their furniture is a joke and when I had a problem it took forever to get a resolution, which made me start looking into what calico corners is. All they are is a middle man. I could have went straight to the furniture vendor myself and spent 50percent less. I found that with drapes too. They use local workrooms that I could have gone to myself and paid almost 60 percent less on the labor and if I have a problem I didn't have wait for the incompetent management to get with the workroom. Then they say they carry fabric that has a quality like no others.... NOT TRUE! Manufactures are not making a special bolt of fabric just for them and just happens to be the same print and manufacturer. Their fabric is about 20 percent higher than others. I feel like such a fool for giving them so much of my time and money. And after reading the review from 9/4/14 I would go straight to the upholsterer and not through calico corners. Btw when a customer has a problem we don't want to hear about your management turn over. I witnessed three different managers and all that made me think was whose doing the hiring, maybe that's where the change should be!! read more
