Desperately trying to find good authentic Mexican food in Warwick, that we don't have to make ourselves. Upon trying caliente, there was a lot left to be desired. The set up was very similar to a chipotle were you can see the ingredients that are being added to your entree. The beans were good, the jalapeños were good, the corn salsa and pico were good. The rest of the salsas were bland and watery. The meats were visibly dried out with a crusty 1/2 inch thick layer that was mixed in before adding to my meal. The menu and restaurant advertises that their tortillas chips are cut fresh and fried to order, which is what prompted us to purchase a $4 side of chips and salsa. We watched as the man behind the counter grabbed a handful of chips from a bucket before giving them to us, just to take that bucket to be refried. The chips were so stale and gross, we didn't eat them and they went right in the trash. I've had better experiences at Taco Bell. Sad. read more

First time there, walked in and saw the same order set up as Chipotle. Went to the sign "order here" checked out the menu and waited with no one ahead of me as the staffed behind the counter did their thing. No one acknowledged that I was there - no hello, be with you in a minute, so walked down to the cashier and someone finally yells order "here"...finally get to order. My friend ordered the Chimichanga and I ordered the buritto bowl and both were good. They seem to prep and cook from scratch, food was fresh but lacked enough seasoning for my taste. Got a water and root beer and was lucky to find a clean booth. Cost about $30. It's self serve and clean up after yourself type of place. I might return again. read more

I wanted to like this place. I ordered through Doordash. I ordered two cheese enchilada meals. Both were ice cold. Like straight out of the fridge. Make sure you are hungry for rice because that's mostly what they give you. The cheese enchiladas were a flour tortilla that I could have bought at Stop & Shop and some grated mild cheddar. The cheese wasn't even melted. There was absolutely zero enchilada sauce. They threw a big glob of sour cream on one end of it that did nothing to make this taste even remotely like an enchilada. There were barely enough refried beans in the meal to offset the large amount of flavorless rice. I hope the rest of the menu is better although I would rather have Taco Bell than try this place again. read more

Finally a Mexican place like we had in Arizona!!! We order from here just about every week cause we are suckers for good Mexican food :) The price is reasonable and the portions are huge! They have the best Verde in the state as far as we've found and the wet chimi or the wet burrito is flipping amazing. The carne asada is spot on but is sometimes a little over cooked, but not enough (or bad enough) to drop this even 1/2 a star. It's more of a taqueria than a sit down place- although they do have seating. You point to what you want and they make it in front of you. Think Chipotle - only good. We like to go for their taco Tuesday special. I also like their enchiladas and their salads are HUGE and fresh. I've read some bad reviews from people who have ordered through DoorDash- saying the food was cold or order got messed up. I'd suggest going in person to avoid that. read more

The one star is for the service, always in a rush to get you out of there and this last instance, I went to pick up my order and as I told them my name, one of the cooks looked at my receipt and sarcastically told the girl behind the counter that I didn't tip.
